Mary Jones Walk In 1800, when she was 15 years old, mary Jones saved what little money she had for six years to afford to buy a bible and walked barefoot from Llanfihangel-y- Pennant across valleys and around mountains to Bala. By following this linear route, you will walk 28 miles through the spectacular countryside of the old county of Meirionydd, from an enchanting valley at the foot of Cadair Idris, Llanfihangel-y-Pennant to the shores of Llyn Tegid.
