1 DEAR GUEST! Welcome to Hotel Schani Wien! On the following pages, you will find useful information from A-Z about the hotel and your stay in Vienna. GOOD TO KNOW!

2 AIRPORT: You will be at Vienna International Airport within 15 minutes using the Inter City Europe (ICE) or Rail Jet (RJ). These trains leave every 30 minutes from the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). Please feel free to ask for exact connections and prices. We will gladly organise an airport transfer for you, which is usually cheaper than a taxi (please tell us 2 hours before you leave). APP: Did you download our Schani App? Our app will help you to keep an overview of your reservation and inform you as soon as you can move into your room. Sign in and check in via your smartphone and proceed directly to your room as your room key will be also available via the app. Additionally, the app will give you information about Vienna, the hotel, train schedules and public transport. BABIES: We will also provide cribs for the little ones free of charge, subject to availability. We also help you with their food: we will gladly warm bottles for you and hot water and warm milk are available 24/7. Would you like to store the baby food you brought in the fridge or at the bar? We are happy to do that for you. BAR: Always there for you: open 24 hours.

3 BED LINEN: For a comfortable night! We only use synthetic bed linen, as they are also suitable for people with allergies. BICYCLES: There are two City Bike stations right at the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) close to our hotel. They are located at the bus terminal and at the Central Station s north entrance. You have to register using your debit or credit card to use the City Bikes. The first hour is free of charge. You can return the bike at any City Bike Station after use. You could also hire an e-bike at the bicycle hire RadSTATION at the Central Station. BITCOINS: Cashless payment! You can pay with bitcoins at our bar and the hotel shop, our Greissler store. BREAKFAST: Start the day with a hearty breakfast at our hotel and enjoy the irresistible choice of delicacies: Buffet: 6:30 a.m. 10:00 a.m. Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays

4 Should you not have booked breakfast, but cannot resist our abundant breakfast buffet with aromatic Nespresso coffee and freshly squeezed juices no problem. Just tell our staff the Gästeschanis in the morning and enjoy breakfast! You can pay for it shortly before at the reception desk. CHECK-IN: You can check-in from 3:00 p.m. onwards. Of course, the room could be ready for you earlier, depending on availability. A check-in for early arrivals can be arranged for 10 a.m. for an additional fee. You can store your luggage in our Baggage Room in the basement. CHECK OUT: You can stay in your room until 12:00 lunchtime. A late check-out until 3:00 p.m. is possible for an extra charge, depending on availability. Just ask at the reception desk and we will check it for you. CHILDREN: Children up to the age of 6 years can stay free of charge in the same room as their caregivers and also get free breakfast. Moreover, each floor has two connecting rooms which are ideal for families. Our maisonette rooms are also often booked by families. Just ask our staff -- the Gästeschanis -- for details.

5 CIGARETTES: You can buy Marlboro and Marlboro light at the reception. You can smoke in Schani s Garden or in front of the roofed entrance area. The hotel itself is non-smoking. CLEANING: A spick and span room! We will have made your bed and left fresh towels -- should you need some -- by 3:00 p.m. Note: should the Do not disturb sign be on your door after 3:00 p.m., the room will not be cleaned, but you can always get clean towels at the reception. Do you want to wash your clothes? Please ask at the reception for the next laundry service. There is one only a few minutes from the hotel. CREDIT CARDS: We accept Eurocard/Mastercard, Diners Club, American Express, Visa and Maestro card. COMPUTER: Print it! You can use the two Apple PCs in our lobby to print out your flight tickets, look up details about Vienna or check your social media channels.

6 COWORKING: Are you here on business? Feel free to work at a desk in our Your Space area, our coworking space on the lobby gallery. This service is free-ofcharge for guests staying at the hotel. This is where you can meet local, Viennese coworkers or maybe even get to know a potential, future business partner. Networking, networking, networking that s all we can say COWORKING SPACE (YOUR SPACE): All you need is your notebook and you are ready to go! Our coworking space is Your Space and provides free workplaces, available 24/7. You may even bring your own food while working, or order in. Feel like at home! Of course, our bar will provide drinks and snacks any time you need them! Log on to the Coworking WLAN to be able to use the printer fair use (look for the hidden WLAN: co-working, password: co-working#2460). Scanning works via your USB flash drive. We also provide stationery, so you can punch or staple your documents and use our laminating and paper cutting machines (also keep in mind the fair use principle). For further questions, you can turn to our staff known as Gästeschanis, or just ask in the coworking space upstairs. DOCTOR: Not feeling well? We will help you to get addresses, telephone numbers and appointments.

7 EMERGENCY EXITS AND EVACUATION ROUTES: You can find the relevant information in the leaflet on your room door. FIRE: Stay calm! Don t panic! Seriously: exact information on fire alarm procedures can be found in the information leaflet on the room door. FLOWERS: The earth laughs in flowers (Ralph Waldo Emerson). The next flower shop -- Blumen Malecek -- is located at the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). We will also gladly organise flowers for you and your beloved. GARAGE: Under one roof. You can leave your car in our in-house garage, subject to parking space availability. The entrance to the garage is located on the side of the building facing Alfred Adler Strasse. Get your ticket at the gate, it will be billed every 24 hours.

8 HAIRDRESSER: Change of scenery, full pampering or just an end trim? Head Work is the right address at the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). We can also recommend the Star Salon on Landgutgasse. Further information is available at the reception desk. We will gladly book an appointment for you. HAIR DRYER: Because your hair is worth it! The hair dryer stays at home and your luggage is a few hundred grams lighter. All rooms at Hotel Schani Wien are equipped with hair dryers. You will find it right behind the bathroom cabinet. IRONING: If you need something ironed, you will find ironing equipment in the Baggage Room in the basement. Please do not take the ironing equipment to your room, you can iron your clothes in the Baggage Room. LUGGAGE: Just drop it! You are welcome to leave and lock your luggage in our Baggage Room at level -1 (basement).

9 NEWSPAPERS: Keep up-to-date! Daily papers and magazines can be found in Schani s Wohnzimmer (Schani s Living Room). PARKING: Most districts in Vienna only allow short-time parking. The best solution would be to leave the car in the garage and use the city s excellent public transport system ( You can park your car in our hotel-own garage, subject to parking space availability (more details under Garage ). PETS: We also welcome pets. They can be added during the booking process on our hotel website. So, go ahead and enjoy your holiday with your pets. PHARMACY: First Aid The nearest pharmacies are about 5 min from the hotel on Favoritenstrasse (pedestrian zone). Elisabeth Apotheke, Favoritenstr. 76B and Madonnen Apotheke, Keplerplatz 12.

10 PUBLIC TRANSPORT: The hotel s ideal location directly at the end of the D tram line allows you to get to all the sights in the Inner City within a few minutes via public transport. Hop on the tram right in front of our main door. The city map on the wall in front of your bed will show you the exact route. The U1 underground line at the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) takes you directly to Stephansplatz in the city centre, Karlsplatz or to the banks of the Danube Canal at Schwedenplatz and Danube River at the Donauinsel. RESTAURANTS: Go out? Eat in? Recommendations for restaurants will be given at the reception. However, we will gladly order food and have it delivered to the hotel. We offer a variety of quick snacks at the hotel bar -- from individual appetisers and desserts to Viennese soups, Sacher Würstel (sausages), Chili con Carne and Goulash soup. SCOOTERS & SKATEBOARDS: Looking for a new way to explore the city? Scooters & skateboards can be hired free-of-charge at our hotel. There is an extra fee for our electric scooters, but you will be faster when visiting all of the city s sights. Please register at the reception desk, if you want to hire a scooter or skateboards.

11 SCREEN MIRRORING: Do you want to browse through your holiday pictures, revise your business presentation or listen to music from your smartphone? Just connect your mobile phone to our Smart TV. The screen mirroring function will show you how to connect the two devices. Connect your Android phone simply with the TV s WLAN and use the screen mirroring button on your mobile. There is a Samsung Smart View App for iphones that must be downloaded and installed beforehand so that the connection works. SMOKING: You can smoke in Schani s Garden or in front of the sheltered entrance area. All our rooms are non-smoking. TELEVISION: Keep up-to-date: each room has a TV set with international TV and radio channels, information on the hotel and screen mirroring. You can find more details on screen mirroring further up. TAXI: Get to your destination faster! The reception desk will gladly book a cab for you that will pick you up within a few minutes.

12 TRIPS: Are you looking for action, recreation, adventure? Information on trips and tours is available in the lobby. VOLTAGE: 220/230 V alternating current, 50 Hz WAKE-UP CALL: Good morning! We will be happy to wake you at the desired time! Just tell our staff, the Gästeschanis, when to wake you up. WHATS APP: You would like to ask something, but are already in your room? Just write us your message on Whats App at: WLAN: Stay connected! There is free internet in the entire hotel. You will not require a password to log on, but have to accept the terms of use in the browser. Additionally, we offer WLAN to go! Our hotspots will accompany you via WLAN throughout the city, so you can also use the internet outside the hotel without incurring additional roaming charges. You can pick up the hotspot device for a small rental fee at the reception desk.

We are proud to have been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel and the European Eco Label because we: use power and water carefully avoid and separate waste use renewable resources and environmentally friendly products and because our staff follows these principles. We take our environmental responsibility very seriously and strive to improve in all areas to preserve a nice, healthy environment for future generations. However, clean air, clear water and healthy food also require your assistance! Compliance to these criteria is subject to regular, independent audits. More details can be found on: and

14 Please keep the windows closed when the heating or comfort ventilation is on to avoid wasting valuable power and turn off the light when you leave the room. Please tell us if you should discover a dripping tap or a running toilet and use water responsibly (e.g. turn off the tap while you shave or brush your teeth, use the toilet water saving function etc.) desk. This way we can save energy, water and washing powder. Also note the information on changing handtowels for the wash basins. We would ask you to separate your litter when throwing it away, so we can recycle most of it and produce as little residual waste as possible. You will find a waste separation system in the Baggage Room on Level -1 and in the coworking space. We would also like to ask you not to dispose of litter or sanitary articles in the toilet, but use the containers intended. Our bed linen and towels are changed three times per week during longer stays. If you do not want to use this service, please tell the staff at the reception
