1 HONORARY LIFE MEMBERSHIP mination Form Section ONE: The Protocol of minating 1.1 Standard of Criteria for Selection. The criteria for selection:- A nominee must have had a prolonged impact, as per the rules of the Constitution, at the Glenelg Baseball Club, either as an administrator, volunteer, player or coach. A nominee must be of good character and not be deemed to have brought the game of Baseball or the Glenelg Baseball Club into disrepute by inappropriate behaviour either on or off the field. A consideration of statistical information. 1.2 Method of mination. Existing Glenelg Baseball Club Life Member, Playing Life Member, Playing Member and n-playing Member may submit nominations to the Life Membership Committee for consideration of a member for Honorary Life Membership. All nominations must be seconded by a current Glenelg Baseball Club Life Member, Playing Life Member, Playing Member and n-playing Member. The nominee can either be a current member or has been a previous financial member. The nominator and seconder, if they are a Playing Life Member, Playing Member or a n-playing Member must be currently financial. The nominator and seconder must be over the age of 18. The selection of Playing Life Membership will be nominated by the Life Membership Committee. As per the constitution the Life Membership Committee shall assure that all games played are recorded and kept up to date. GLENELG BASEBALL CLUB Life Membership mination Form Page 1

2 1.3 Submitting of minations. The nominator must submit a detailed submission, giving strong supporting evidences on the reasons why the member should be nominated for Honorary Life Membership, with all nominations using these forms. It is also imperative that details only of the nominees activities at the Glenelg Baseball Club are supplied. Once a strong case has been given regarding the activities at the Glenelg Baseball Club, information may be supplied of baseball activities outside of the club to support the character of the nominee, but this information will not be used in the decision of the nomination for Life Membership of the Glenelg Baseball Club. 1.4 Timing of Selection. To enable an orderly time frame to allow for the contacting of newly appointed inductees prior to the Annual General Meeting, nominations are to be forwarded to the Life Membership Committee no later than 28 th February of each year. 1.5 The GBC Constitution:- 7. LIFE MEMBERS 7 (b) Honorary Life Member of the Club is any member in consideration of:- 1) Twenty (20) years membership of the Club, or which at least ten (10) years of that period shall have been served on the Board of Management or any Club committee, as per clause 15 (e); or 2) Special services rendered to the Club, provided however that not more than one (1) Life Member shall be elected under this clause in any one (1) year. Such Life Members shall be exempted from the payment of all subscriptions to the Club. Life Members shall during the continuance of their life enjoy all the privileges of a playing member. 15. MANAGEMENT 15 (e) The Board of Management shall appoint, on the recommendation of Board Members, committee/s that are associated with the Board Members portfolio. These committees will report directly to the appropriate Board Member, who shall submit reports to the Board of Management on a regular basis. 8 Section Five: ENDORSEMENT OR NOT APPROVAL 5.1 tification of mination. If a nomination is approved by the Board of Management then the GBC Secretary will notify the members of the Life Membership Committee and the minator within 7 days of the GBC Board meeting. If a nomination is not approved by the Life Membership Committee and the Board of Management then the GBC Secretary will notify the minator within 7 days of the GBC Board meeting giving the reasons in writing. ALL nomination forms to be submitted to the Life Membership Committee, in a sealed envelope, marked Confidential and addressed to the Glenelg Baseball Club Secretary. The Life Membership Committee will investigate nominations for accuracy of detail, validity and merit after which the submissions and recommendations will then be forwarded to the GBC Board of Management for final acceptance by a two third (2/3) majority of the Board of Management. All details of the applicant to be kept confidential by both the Board of Management and the Life Membership Committee. Only when an applicant is successful will the details of the applicant be released at the Annual General Meeting. 5.4 Glenelg Baseball Club AGM. All recommendations by the Board of Management are to be approved by the members at the next Annual General Meeting by a fifty (50) per cent majority.
