Amenities: none, portable washrooms are required Amos Waites Park Amos Waites Park is a 1.4 hectare park on Lake Shore Boulevard at Mimico Avenue in Etobicoke featuring two children's playgrounds and the Amos Waites Outdoor Pool. With its boardwalks, paths and beaches, Amos Waites Park features a scenic view of the lake. 2 A small park on Park Lawn Road near Berry Road featuring a splash pad and a children's playground. The Stonegate Community Health Centre manages a community garden in the park, have worked with StreetART Toronto to create a community mural and have provided a myriad of programs for the community in the park. 1 Bayside Lane Ward: 5 Councillor: Justin Di Ciano Near: Park Lawn Road & Berry Road Friends/community group(s): Stonegate Community Health Centre Amenities: playground, splashpad, washrooms available at nearby Park Lawn Park, but portable washrooms may be required, depending on the activity Bob Hunter Park A 17.7 hectare park near Meadowvale Road and Highway 401 that features a ball diamond, a sports field and a splash pad. The majority of this park is heavily forested. The Bob Hunter Community Garden is located in the park. This park is a new addition to the program. Address: 113 Grand River Blvd. Ward: 44 Councillor: Ron Moeser Near: Meadowvale Rd & 401 Friends/community group(s): Bob Hunter Community Garden Amenities: none, portable washrooms are required Broadacres Park Broadacres Park is a 5.7 hectare park near Burnhamthorpe Road and The West Mall featuring a ball diamond, a children's playground, a large open green space and a beautiful wooded area. The Applewood Shaver House is located in the park. 3 Chester Le Park A 1.9 hectare park near Victoria Park Avenue and Finch Avenue East features a playground, a large open green space and community gardens. Chester Le is a highly engaged park. Chester Le Community Corner is located beside the park and is managed by the Agincourt Community Services Association. This is part of the community of Steeles/L Amoreaux that used to be a Priority neighbourhood. Friends of Chester Le Park host a variety for programs in their park including clean ups, 100 in 1 Day, Tai Chi in the Park with over 100 participants, United Way Day of Caring in the garden, nature walks, an annual Chester Le Festival and most recently they hosted TIFF in Your Park with a pre-show that featured cultural dances and various community activities. The 2016 grant recipient was Agincourt Community Services in collaboration with Red Pepper Spectacle Arts. 255 Chester Le Blvd Ward: 39 Councillor: Jim Karygiannis Near: North of Finch Ave E and Pharmacy Ave Friends/community group(s): Friends of Chester Le Park, Chester Le Olive Community Garden; Amenities: next to Chester Le Community Corner (washroom facilities during open hours), Agincourt Community Services, Chester Le Junior Public School. Dentonia Park A 6.1 hectare park near Danforth Avenue and Victoria Park Avenue featuring a lit ball diamond, a multipurpose sports field, a cricket pitch, basketball courts, a splash pad and a children's playground. The Friends of Dentonia Park and the Councillor host events in the park including movies in the park for the last two year. Dentonia offers an afternoon preschool program as well as a general summer camp. The 2016 grant recipient was Children s Peace Theatre. 80 Thyra Ave Councillor: Janet Davis Ward: 31 District: Toronto & East York Near: Thyra Ave & Dentonia Park Ave Friends/community group(s): Shwaasti, Friends of Dentonia Park Amenities: Clubhouse (washroom facilities during open hours), drinking fountain Earl Bales Park Earl Bales Park has an off-leash dog area, playgrounds, sensory garden, splash pad, a 500- person outdoor amphitheatre, memorials, paved walking/cycling trails, picnic sites and fire pits. They also have the city s only ski hill. The Friends of Earl Bales Park is an active community group who have hosted the City s Flagship clean up as part of the City s Clean Toronto Together event for four years in a row. The event, which the mayor attends, attracts over 300 people. They also host Jane s walks in the park, have an Adopt-A-Park-Tree program and support the Earl Bales Arts and Music Festival. They were one of the sites for TIFF in Your Park in The 2016 grant recipients were Arts Starts and Music Can Heal. 3

Animating Toronto Parks events will have to work around existing programming Bathurst St Ward: 10 Councillor: James Pasternak Friends/community group(s): Friends of Earl Bales Park Amenities: washrooms, parking lot, Earl Bales Community Centre (washroom facilities during open hours only). Fred Johnson Park This small park features a lovely garden on Kingston Road just south of Eglinton Avenue East Kingston Rd. Ward: 36 Councillor: Gary Crawford Friends/community group(s): Scarborough Village ANC, Scarborough Village Community Garden Amenities: Scarborough Village Recreation Centre (washroom facilities during open hours only) Flemingdon Park This 13.3 hectare park near Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East runs along the hydro corridor in Don Mills east to the Don Valley Parkway. The park features seven multipurpose sports field, two ball diamonds, ball hockey and basketball courts, a community garden, a children's playground and a splash pad. The Flemingdon Community Centre is located at the east end of the park at 150 Grenoble Drive, The Flemingdon Urban Fair Committee (FUFC) works in this tower community to animate Flemingdon Park. The park they use is adjacent to Playground Paradise and the community garden. FUFC is one of the City s main sites for Clean Toronto Together clean ups, they host 100 in 1 Day events with exercises in the park and host the annual Flemingdon Multicultural Festival in the Park. They were also one of the sites for TIFF in Your Park in 2015 and held a Pan Am-themed pre-show that included sports activities and a photo booth. The 2016 grant recipient was Lua Shayenne and Company. 150 Grenoble Dr Ward: 26 Councillor: Jon Burnside Near: Grenoble Dr & Spanbridge Rd Friends/community group(s): Flemingdon Community Support Services - FCSS (formerly Flemingdon Urban Fair Committee - FUFC) Amenities: Parking lot, near Angela James Arena (washroom facilities during open hours, but portable washrooms may be required, depending on the activity) 4

5 Guild Park and Gardens This scenic and historic park on 36 Hectares of parkland adjacent to Scarborough Bluffs. Rich with cultural and natural heritage features, Guild Park and Gardens will receive a significant revitalization in 2016 and is subject to a new management plan to preserve its natural and cultural heritage resources, enhance recreation trails and connectivity and revitalize its cultural landscape structure, including a sculpture garden and amphitheatre. The park is owned by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) and managed by the City of Toronto. *Please note: This is a very busy park. Programming will have to work around existing arts programming and weddings. Availability for events is Mon-Thursday only no weekend events. 201 Guildwood Parkway Ward: 43 Councillor: Paul Ainsley Near: Kindston Rd & Galloway Rd. Friends/community group: Friends of Guild Park & Gardens (guildpark.ca) Guildwood Village Community Association, Guild Renaissance Group, Guild Festival Theatre, Amenities: recreation trail, conservatory/greenhouse, parking lot, fieldhouse, washrooms Lee Lifeson Art Park One of the city s newest parks, Lee Lifeson Art Park honours two of Canada s more internationally acclaimed musicians as founding members of the band Rush, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson. The heart of this music-themed park is a small outdoor stage and amphitheatre suitable for small acoustic performances. Public Art installations are curated by Public Studio. Toronto Arts Council is seeking music and live performance applications for this park. 223 Gladys Allison Pl Ward: 23 Councillor: John Filion Near: Princess and Hillcrest Avenues at Gladys Allison Place Friends/community group(s): Amenities: outdoor stage and amphitheatre, washrooms Littles Park A 4.8 hectare park near Morningside Avenue and Old Finch Avenue that features a multipurpose sports field, a ball diamond and a children's playground. Crossing the parks western border you enter into Rouge Park where you will find the Rouge River and its system of trails. The 2016 grant recipient was Cajuca Mas Arts Producers. 30 Littles Rd Ward 42 Councillor: (pending appointment) Near: Morningside Avenue & Old Finch Avenue Friends/community group(s): Malvern Family Resource Centre (MFRC) Amenities: None - portable washrooms are required 5

6 Maidavale Park A 1.5 hectare park on Birchmount Road north of Eglinton Avenue East that features a ball diamond and children's playground. Massey Creek flows along the southern park border. Adjacent to the park is a TCHC building with an active residents group, the Birchmount Community Action Council. They built a community garden, hosted a TIFF movie, run an afterschool program and have taken on many activities to engage their residents Birchmount Rd Ward: 37 Councillor: Michael Thompson Near: Birchmount Road & Eglinton Avenue East Friends/community group(s): Birchmount Community Action Council Amenities: None - portable washrooms are required. Memorial Park (Etobicoke York) A small park on the east bank of the Humber River near Lawrence Avenue West and Weston Road that features a bike trail and a bandshell under a mature tree canopy. The 2016 grant recipient was Urban Arts. 22 Little Ave Ward: 11 Councillor: Frances Nunziata Near: Little Ave & Lawrence Ave W Friends/community group(s): Amenities: Bandshell, close to Weston Lions Recreation Arena (washroom facilities during open hours) Oakdale Park This 1.4 hectare park on Grandravine Drive just East of Jane Street features basketball courts and a children's playground. The Oakdale Park Community Centre is located at the entrance to the park. The Oakdale location of the Jane & Finch Boys and Girls Club sits right next to the park. In 2014, they received Weston Funding along with the environmental organization, Green Change to work on children s environmental programming and to animate the park. 350 Grandravine Rd Ward 8 Councillor: Anthony Perruzza Near: Jane & Finch Friends/community group(s): Jane & Finch Boys and Girls Club, Green Change, Jane and Finch Family and Community Centre Amenities: Parking, portable washrooms are required 6

7 Panorama Park Panorama Park is a 1.4 hectare park near Kipling Avenue and Finch Avenue West that features a children's playground and an open green space as well as the Panorama Community Garden. The garden committee is very active in animating the park with garden and food-related activities. They have also helped form the Rexdale Community Garden Network that includes schools and libraries. They host annual Clean Toronto Together clean ups, extremely successful annual Foodie Fests in May with over 1000 attendees, a children s gardening Summer camp and they were one of the sites for TIFF in Your Park in The park is in a Neighbourhood Improvement Area (NIA). The 2016 grant recipient was Eldritch Theatre. 11 Farr Ave Ward: 1 Councillor: Vincent Crisanti Near: Finch Ave W and Kipling Ave Friends/community group(s): Panorama Community Garden Group; Amenities: Rexdale Community Hub (washroom facilities during open hours only) Parkway Forest Park A 5.2 hectare park near Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue East that features three lit outdoor tennis courts, a ball diamond, a multipurpose sports field, a basketball court, a ball hockey pad, and two children's playgrounds located at the North and South ends of the park. The Fairview Residents Action Group (FRAG) is a new group whose mandate is to work on community issues in the Don Mills and Sheppard neighbourhood. In 2016 they received TD funding to run a Ravine Nature Leaders Train the Trainer program where they trained 20 residents to lead walks in their own languages. The 2016 grant recipient was Wordplay Collective. 80 Parkway Forest Dr Ward: 33 Councillor: Shelly Carroll Near: Parkway Forest Dr & Forest Manor Rd Friends/community group(s): Fairview Residents Action Group (FRAG) Amenities: Parkway Forest Community Centre (washroom facilities during open hours only) Parma Park This 1.7 hectare park near Victoria Park and Eglinton Avenue East features a ball diamond, basketball court, a gazebo, a splash pad and a children's playground. Adjacent to the east side of the park is the O'Connor Community Centre. 99 Parma Court Ward: 34 Councillor: Denzil Minnan-Wong Near: Victoria Park & Eglington Avenue 7

8 Friends/community group: Victoria Village Action for Neighbourhood Change, Working Women Community Centre Amenities: Parking, washrooms available at O'Connor Community Centre during open hours only Prairie Drive Park This 1.3 hectare park features a playground, wading pool and a tennis court area surrounded by mature trees, sloping hills and open green space. It us home to the Prairie Drive Park Community Gardens, which are located to the north of the roadway that leads into the park. One of the gardens is managed by Access Alliance and the other by the South Asian Women s Rights Organization (SAWRO). Prairie Drive Park is located in a densely populated area with lots of families. A group of women called Shwaasti animated the park in 2016, hosting children s games. The 2016 grant recipient was The Bicycle Music Festival. 70 Prairie Drive Ward: 35 Councillor: Michelle Holland Near: Pharmacy Ave & Danforth Ave (close to Victoria Park subway station) Friends/community group(s): Shwaasti, Access Alliance Amenities: Washroom facilities, wading pool, playground, fieldhouse with canteen window, parking lot. Roding Park An 8 hectare park near Wilson Avenue and Keele Street, this park features a ball diamond, two tennis courts, four bocce courts and a children's playground. Roding Community Centre can be found at the north end of the park. 600 Roding St. Ward 9 Councillor: Maria Augimeri Near: Wilson Ave & Keele Ave Friends/community group(s): Amenities: Drinking fountain, parking lot, Roding Community Centre (washrooms available during open hours only) Rowntree Mills Park This 92 hectare park along the banks of the Humber River between Finch Avenue West and Steeles Avenue West was named Rowntree Mills Park in 1969 in honour of Joseph Rowntree. Joseph Rowntree was a pioneer in north Etobicoke village of Thistletown and established two mills on the banks of the Humber River. 155 Rowntree Mill Rd Ward: 7 8

9 Councillor: Giorgio Mammoliti Near: Finch Ave West & Steeles Ave West Friends/community group(s): Delta Family Resource Centre Amenities: Recreation trail, water fountain, fieldhouse, parking lot, picnic site, pond, washroom facilities Rustic Park A small neighbourhood park close to Black Creek, an important natural heritage feature and a tributary of the Humber River. The Rustic neighbourhood has been designated as a Neighbourhood Improvement Area (NIA) by the City. The Rustic Park community group have held exercise programs for seniors in the park as well as barbeques. 35 Raven Rd Ward: 12 Councillor: Frank Di Giorgio District: Etobicoke Near: Jane St & 400/401 Friends/community group(s): Amenities: Drinking fountain, portable washrooms are required Silverview Park Silverview is a small neighbourhood park situated between the east and west branches of the Don Valley River. It features a baseball diamond and a playground. Avondale Secondary Alternative School is located across the street. Any activities would have to take place around baseball bookings. The Friends of Silverview Park has hosted event in the park for the last three years. 23 Silverview Drive Ward: 24 Councillor: David Shiner Near: Friends/community group(s): Friends of Silverview Park Amenities: Drinking fountain, portable washrooms are required Terraview Park Located at the headwaters of the Taylor Massey Creek, Terraview Park features a pond, walking path, playground, covered picnic area, splash pad and soccer field. The Friends of Terraview & Willowfield Parks and the local Scout group host clean ups and pumpkin parades in the park every year Pharmacy Ave Ward: 40 Councillor: Norm Kelly 9

10 Near: Victoria Park & 401 Friends/community group(s): Friends of Terraview & Willowfield Parks Amenities: None, portable washrooms are required The Elms Park The Elms Park is located on the Berry Creek Valley in the Elms-Old Rexdale neighbourhood, a designated Neighbourhood Improvement Area (NIA). Berry Creek is an important watershed for the Humber River Valley, and a tributary of the Humber River. The linear park features a lush and shaded, tree-lined interior area along the creek, walking paths and two playgrounds, one which was recently renovated through community donations with support from the Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation and Friends of the Elms. The 2016 grant recipient was Urbanvessel. 25 Auburndale Crt Ward: 2 Councillor: Michael Ford Near: Auburndale Crt & Bergamot Ave Friends/community group: Friends of Elms Park Amenities: The Elms Community Centre is nearby, portable washrooms are required Thomson Memorial Park This 41.8 hectare park follows the West Highland Creek and has many paths through the large wooded ravine that let visitors to experience nature in the city. The park also has a lit ball diamond, a lit multipurpose sports field, three lit tennis courts, permitted picnic/social gathering areas, a dog off-leash area, outdoor fitness equipment, a wading pool and a children's playground 1005 Brimley Rd Ward: 38 Councillor: Glen de Baeremaeker Near: Scarborough Museum Friends/community group: Friends of Cedarbrook and Thomson Parks Amenities: Parking, washrooms, fire pit, drinking fountains, recreational trails Walter Saunders Park (York Beltline) The York Beltline is a 9km linear park and recreation trail. Walter Saunders Park is part of the Beltline and features outdoor basketball and bocce courts, a playground and a splash pad. The Friends of the Beltline have hosted tree plantings and clean ups in the Beltline. The 2016 grant recipient was Shakespeare in the Ruff. 440 Hopewell Ave Ward: 15 Councillor: Josh Colle 10

11 Near: Hopewell Ave & Times Rd Friends/community group: Friends of York Beltline Amenities: none, portable washrooms are required Wincott Park Wincott Park is divided in half by Poynter Drive. This park is located in the middle of the neighbourhood near Westway Junior School. North of Poynter Drive there is a newly refurbished children's playground and two lit outdoor bocce courts. At the south end of the park there is a swing set, a pair of slides and a climbing structure. There are open green areas along the path as with naturalized areas for wildlife throughout the park. The Humber Creek Trail is a paved path that runs through the park from Moline Drive in the south to Dixon Road in the north. Near the north end of the park the trail passes by a pond with a small seating area on the south shore.
