2 MATCH PREVIEW HIDALGO, Texas --- The Rio Grande Valley Barracudas will start a home stand that will feature six of seven home games that will span through January 28 th as they open the stand against the Monterrey Flash. It will be the second time that RGV will face Monterrey as they faced off in northern Mexico in the first meeting. The Barracudas fell 9-2 and will look to knock off one of three undefeated teams in the MASL. STAFF Jorge Quiroz Player/Coach Quiroz is originally from Mexico City, Mexico and is no stranger to the coaching stage as he led Professional Arena Soccer League Premier-side RGV Devils to the Winter National Championship. As a player, Quiroz has been known to be a defender that likes to provide for his teammates as he amassed 26 goals and 43 assists in 41 career games as member of Turlock Express, RGV Flash, and Hidalgo La Fiera. Quiroz has also represented Mexico in various international events. Juarez played three years as a professional as a goalie. After retiring and earning his licenses he join Tigers of the UANL from 1996 to 1999 in the youth academy. After working in various teams in the lower divisions of Mexican soccer in 2002 he was member Veracruz a team that achieved promotion to first division. After being with Veracruz, Juarez would join teams based out of Matamoros of the Mexican League of the lower divisions before joining RGV Barracudas as trainer and coach.
