5 DAY 1- WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2018 Arrival & Welcome Transfer from Venice International Airport (VCE) and Hotel check-in in the historic center of Castelfranco Veneto. Time to relax and stroll the streets of this charming red brick medieval walled town, home to Renaissance painter Giorgione. This once strategic trade center between Venice and Northern Europe is fascinating at dusk, when we meet for an evening historical drama tour and visit in exclusive the Giorgione Museum. Welcome Dinner. (D) DAY 2- THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 27, 2018 Meet the Province Administration - City of Treviso & the Cocofungo Gala Meet the people of Province Administration respon sible for education, culture, sports and business at the headquarters in Sant Artemio. Enjoy a tour of this state-of-the art facility and learn more about our Sister City. A private guided tour of the city of TREVISO, also known as the city of waters for its interweaving waterways and canals. The gracious historical center with its colorful medieval portico lined streets make it the most beautiful urbs-picta (painted centers) of Italy. Enjoy leisure time for shopping or have a Spritz in Piazza dei Signori (Gentleman's Square), a place where the locals gather as they have for centuries. (B,L,D) DAY 3- FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2018 Street Market, the Architectural route & Antonio Canova s Gypsoteca Enjoy the morning in Castelfranco Veneto strolling the weekly street market or just sit at a café and watch the locals as they go about their shopping. Tour one of Andrea Palladio s best examples of his architectural design and functional estate management, Villa Emo in Fanzolo and admire the breathtaking frescoes by Giovanni Battista Zelotti adorning the interior rooms. On the architectural route, visit the Brion Tomb and Sanctuary, a masterpiece of architect Carlo Scarpa, one of the most controversial architects of the 20 th century. In the evening we head to the hilltop town of Possagno, universally known as the birthplace of the greatest neoclassical artist Antonio Canova, who made substantial contributions to shaping aesthetic models of his time. Above the town sits the Temple, a parish church built in Neoclassical style and dedicated to the Holy Trinity. We visit Canova s gallery to see his artistic methods from paper to marble, passing through clay and plaster casts. The uniqueness of this tour is to visit at dusk and by soft lantern light emulating how Canova would greet his guests and show his works. After the tour, dinner in the gardens of the Museum. (B,D) DAY 4- SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2018 Excursion on the Sile River Today we visit the natural Oasis of Cervara along the Sile River- Europe's longest resurgence river, about 45 miles long. This wildlife preserve protects the exceptional beauty and bio-diversity. It is home to birdwatchers from all over Europe and hosts numerous species including storks and owls and today is a place of conservation, preservation and research. Welcomed by the Director of the Oasis we will board a pantano, a typical flat bottom row boat to discover not only the beauty of the area but the historical and agricultural importance of the Sile River, The fresh spring water plays a major part in the outcome of famous Radicchio Rosso di Treviso IGP (Geographically Protected Product) production!!! Once we return to Castelfranco Veneto, the evening is yours to enjoy. (B,L) DAY 5- SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 30, 2018 Asolo & Palladio Villa Maser Check Out from Hotel in Castelfranco Veneto. Visit one of Italy s most beautiful hamlets, Asolo, and see why it is called the town of a hundred horizons. Bestowed with the 'Venetian city of culture Award for qualities well known to famous artists and writers from around the world. Home and exile to the Queen of Cyprus, Caterina Cornaro. Visit in exclusive the once home of the Historic Asolo Theatre now in Sarasota. This former audience hall of Queen Caterina Cornaro s castle which was later purchased by John and Mable Ringling is today part of Sarasota s heritage.

6 Enjoy a private guided tour of Villa Barbaro di Maser, designed by Architect Andrea Palladio for the Patriarch of Aquileia, where the interior frescos are by Paolo Veronese and sculptures by Alessandro Vittoria. On our way to Conegliano for the next 4 nights, we travel the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG Wine route. The Route winds around the hills cultivated with vineyards. A gentle landscape composed of grapes and huts, farming towns and historical cities, age-old parish churches and castles, a land that humans have shaped over the centuries, making it one of the prettiest corners of Italy. Stops along the way for the famous sites together with a cellar tour and tasting of wines unique to this area (light dinner). After check-in, your will have time to relax and stroll the streets at leisure. (B,L, D) DAY 6- MONDAY OCTOBER 1, 2018 Caves of Caglieron - Fairytale Sarmede -Wine Education Institute. Visit the unique fairytale town of Sarmede and its community of illustration artists and open-air theaters. Dazzling town on the slopes of the Cansiglio forest preserving its ancient alpine churches with 17 th -century frescoes. Sarmede is the internationally renowned seat of the Stepan Zavrel School for Illustration Artists and permanent exhibit of the International Children's Illustrations that attracts interest from around the world. We then head to the caves of Grotte del Caglieron in the Cansiglio Natural Forest. Enjoy a nature guided tour through parts of the natural caves where we delight also in the specialties of the area like Formaggio di Grotta, a unique cheese aged in the caves paired with Torchiato di Fregona wine and olive oils produced in the most northern area of Italy. The students and faculty of the State Institute of Higher Secondary Education "G.B. Cerletti" of Conegliano await us to explain the study of viticulture and oenology at this world famous institute. Once we return to Conegliano, the evening is yours to enjoy. (B,L) DAY 7- TUESDAY OCTOBER 2, 2018 Roman Archeology in Oderzo - Wines of the Doges - Road of the Templar Knights. Today we take a step back to the ancient Roman Empire to visit the Roman Municipium Opitergium - modern day Oderzo preserving invaluable underground archaeological remains of the Paleo-Veneto and Roman periods, including a forum, basilica, temples and historical public edifices. Along the way, a brief stop in the town of Ormelle. This small village where we find the Monumental church of the Templar Knights, built by the Knights of Malta and one of the best preserved churches of the religious Order. Hear the stories of the pilgrims en route to the Holy Land and amaze at the fresco which many Dan Brown fans flock to see. As we follow the banks of the Piave River, we travel along the Wines of the Doges route. Fertile lands where wine production began during Roman times and became vibrant during the Venetian Republic. Here both autoctous and international grape varietals thrive. Enjoy a private cellar tour and tasting at one of the top wine producers and head of the Fraternal Order of Raboso, a grape varietal part of the heritage of this land and its people. Pizza night (B,L,D) DAY 8- WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2018 Collalto Estate - From 14 th Century castle to modern sustainable agriculture and renewable energy. For over a thousand years, the Collalto family and its ancestors have owned the lands stretching over 3,200 acres. Now home to horses, cattle, swine and sheep, the estates have arable fields and hills marked by woodlands, castles, Prosecco vineyards, and farmhouses. The signs of history, culture, and nature co-exist with traditional farming practices and modern sustainability. Spend the day discovering the ancient traditions of a modern estate. We also visit the Castle of San Salvatore originally built in 1312 granting the Counts of Collalto s their fief by the Holy Roman Emperor Henry VII. In the evening we visit the Castle of Conegliano, with its landmark medieval tower dominating the town from Colle di Giano and great symbol for the locals.
