HOW TO REGISTER To register for the meeting, please visit the following site: Participants are requested to register at their earliest convenience, preferably no later than Thursday 19 April MEETING The meeting will be held on April 2014 at the Palacio de la Magdalena in Santander, Spain. The meeting is scheduled to start at 09:30 hours on Tuesday April and will last until 13:30 hours on Wednesday 30 April. Participants are kindly invited to a fieldtrip that will take place in the evening after the end of the meeting. More information about this fieldtrip will be available in due time. LANGUAGE & DOCUMENTATION The meeting will be held in English. The background documents for the meeting will be in English and will be delivered in due time. MEALS There will be coffee breaks during the meeting and a Spanish wine on Tuesday 29 th in the evening at the same venue. 1

2 VISA INFORMATION Participants are responsible for checking visa requirements and making their own visa arrangements before departure, including visa for transit or stopover. Those participants needing a personalized invitation to comply with their visa procedures can address their request to Ms. Edurne Lacalle: edurne.lacalle@foresteurope.org CURRENCY The official currency in Spain is the Euro. Use of credit cards is widespread in Spain. VENUE The Palacio de la Magdalena is placed in Península de la Magdalena, Santander. ARRIVAL DETAILS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT The major airport is the Santander airport, located 10 km from the Palacio de la Magdalena. Travel from the airport to Palacio de la Magdalena Participants can take a bus outside the airport which takes you to Santander buses station in around 15 minutes. In this station you can take another bus (lines: 1, 2, 3, 7 and 13, towards Sardinero) which will take you to the two hotels provided in 10 minutes. 2

3 Other possibility for the participants is to take a taxi from the airport which takes you directly to the two hotels provided in around 15 minutes. ACCOMODATION Participants are kindly requested to take care of their hotel booking. There are several nice hotels in Santander. The Liaison Unit Madrid has arranged a limited number of rooms at discount price for FOREST EUROPE guests in two hotels nearby the meeting area from 29 th to 30 th April. The price includes breakfast and taxes. Pre booked rooms are available until 28 th March. Thereafter the price will be the standard of both hotels. 3
