5 Optional Tours Panoramic City Tour Thursday 10am -1.30pm There are many different faces to Madrid the Medieval, the Renaissance, the Baroque, the Classical, the Romantic and the Modern. This tour aims to give you an overall view of the city and to illustrate the varied history that Madrid possesses, by visiting areas of the city that convey the mood of the different eras. The tour includes a visit to the historic Plaza Mayor, Plaza España, the famous Cibeles Fountain and Neptune s Fountain, Christopher Columbus Square, the impressive Castellana Avenue, along with the main shopping areas and a guided tour of the Royal Palace. 6 Things to do in Madrid With a population of over 3 million people there is lots to see and do in Spains capital city. El Retiro Park El Retiro Park is unquestionably one of the most beautiful parks in the world. The lake is its busiest spot and a big favourite among Madrilenians and visitors who love walking around the area. There are canoes and rowing boats to add to the fun and the surrounding area is always packed with live performances by street artists. Visitors can enjoy the atmosphere, both festive and calm of this wonderful park a short walk from the Westin Hotel. Museums & Art Situated in the heart of Madrid, the Paseo del Prado is home to three of the most comprehensive painting museums in the world. The Reina Sofía National Museum Art Centre, with Picasso s Guernica, the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum, which presents an overview of art history, and the Prado Museum with artworks by Goya and Velázquez. All three also host interesting temporary exhibitions and within walking distance of the Westin Hotel. Shopping The Grand Via is the main shopping street in Madrid with many shops and restaurants along it. You will also find several very impressive buildings along this street. One of the oldest indoor markets Mercado San Miguel offers a wide variety shops offering a wide selection of Spanish food and drinks and definitely worth a visit. The area bordered by the Lagasca, Serrano and Goya streets and Plaza Colon is packed with designer shops & boutiques as well as the well know Spanish department store El Cortes Ingles. Restaurants & Tapas Bars Madrid has transformed itself into one of Europe s culinary capitals, not least because the city has long been a magnet for people (and cuisines) from all over Spain. Everything that is exciting about Spanish cooking has gravitated to the capital, from Basque tapas bars to avant-garde Catalan chefs, from the best in Galician seafood to Andalucía s Mediterranean catch. Plaza Santa Ana which is a short walk from the Westin Hotel has many excellent tapas bars. Plaza Mayor and Plaza de Oriente and surrounding streets offer a wide range of cafes & restaurants.

7 Optional Tours Guided Tour of Toledo UNESCO World Heritage City including lunch Toledo is located 45 miles south of Madrid and was once the model of religious tolerance in Europe and is still the premier diocese in Spain. The entire town is a national monument. Tiny streets surrounded by Gothic and Renaissance buildings allows one to 'feel' the history. Its churches, synagogues and palaces house some of Spain s best artistic treasures. The tour will include visits to the Cathedral, a Synagogue and a visit to the Chapel of St. Tome which houses "The burial of Count Orgaz", a masterpiece painted by El Greco. After the guided walking tour the group will enjoy lunch and some free time in Toledo. Dinner & Flamenco show at Corral De La Moreria Corral de la Moreria was established in 1956 and is the most well known table Flamenco show in the World. It is located in the centre of Madrid close to the Royal Palace. The duration of the show is 1 hour 20 minutes with dinner before the show at 9pm.
