2 The IPA Spain Section looks forward to hosting the 2015 International Youth Gathering and has put together a program for a 14-day tour (1 st 15 th August 2015). THE THEME of IYG2015 is Spain, a multicultural journey without borders IYG Spain 2015 will travel through the north of Spain, from East to West. Commencing in Barcelona and travelling through Bilbao, Donosti, A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela, Leon, Valladolid, Palencia, Madrid and Zaragoza. Come to Spain, it will be an opportunity to experience travel to another country and to meet people of a similar age from different cultures and backgrounds while gaining a deeper knowledge of our history and culture and through association with other participants, the culture of other countries and social character. AGE: The 2015 Youth Gathering has been designed for the teenage; the participant shall be 16 or 17 years of age at the start of the IYG. WHO CAN APPLY? : Open to the children or grandchildren of current IPA members. Each IPA country can send two applicants with the option of a third applicant if there are enough places free. Attendance of the participants must be authorized by the IPA Section in their home country. The number of participants is limited to 50 and will be handled on a «first-come, first-served» basis. COST OF IYG: 700 per child exclusive of Air Travel costs and includes accommodation, meals, all excursions and coach travel within Spain. INSURANCE: Child must be in possession of travel / health insurance which covers Sports Activities. REGISTRATION will start on 1st January and closing date, 31 st March Please note that we will not accept any registration forms before that date. A deposit of 200 must accompany each registration when it is submitted. The remaining balance of 500 (total 700 ) of the registration fee should be paid by no later than 31st March 2015 or any places reserved may be forfeited. Deposits will be returned, upon request, prior to 28 th February

Dinner & overnight SUNDAY, August 2 nd Sightseeing bike tour to the main attractions of Barcelona city, escorted by GUB police officers ( bike and / or motorbike squad ). Afternoon / evening: Camp Nou experience (Visiting all facilities of the FC Barcelona stadium) Meeting with players will be arranged and scheduled if possible " Las Golondrinas" cruise.. Barcelona sightseeing tour from the Mediterranean sea. Dinner & overnight MONDAY, August 3 rd All day: Visit to Universal Port Aventura Theme Park of Tarragona. 5

7 TUESDAY, August 4 th Visit to Montserrat mountain. With the Catalonian black Madonna. Afternoon / Evening: Trip to Euskadi. Dinner & overnight. WEDNESDAY, August 5 th ( Euskadi ) Paintball session. Afternoon / Evening: Visit to the Casa de Juntas de Gernika Dinner & overnight. THURSDAY, August 6 th All day: Visit to Donosti city ( San Sebastian ), Concha beach and Igueldo mount, where we will enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the city. Finally we will visit Arauz or Guetaria as well. Dinner & overnight FRIDAY, August 7 th Visit to the Portugalete hanging bridge, 6

8 Visit to the Guggenheim museum Afternoon / evening: Trip to Galicia. Dinner & overnight. SATURDAY, August 8 th ( Galicia ) A Coruña, city tour.. Visit to the Finisterrae aquarium & Fishes house. Visit to the San Pedro viewpoint.. Afternoon / evening: Free time. Entertainment and leisure activities. Dinner & Overnight. SUNDAY, August 9 th Morning / Afternoon: Visit to Santiago de Compostela. Cathedral and Old City. 7

9 Visit to Cerceda Aquapark ( water park ). Evening / night: Dinner and farewell music concert & party.. Overnight MONDAY, August 10 th (Castilla y León) Trip to Castilla y León Visit to Las Médulas ( Two hours guided tour. Three kms long ). Afternoon / evening: Visit to León city Dinner & overnight TUESDAY, August 11 th Trip to Valladolid and city sightseeing tour of the ancient Spanish capital. Winery visit. Two hours guided tour with explanations about wine cultivation and production in an historical setting. Soft drinks tasting. 8

10 Evening / night: Visit to Palencia city Visit, fun and leisure activities at the Risk & Prevention Center BBQ, Raffles and fun until 22 00h at Castro de Esgueva, town close to Valladolid. Overnight WEDNESDAY, August 12 th ( Madrid ) Trip to Madrid. If possible we will stop for a while in Segovia to visit the Alcazar and the Aqueduct..
