If your applicayon is not already in the AHA data base, it is important to menyon the posiyons may be filled by the Yme the AHA process is complete. Therefore, please view this list to learn the type of posiyons available, hotels and locayons. We

4 encourage parycipants to be open to locayon, but also express their expectayons, for example would love to be placed at a major chain hotel, would like a city locayon seeking a placement in Florida. When requests become too specific, it does become more difficult and the special request fee applies. RATES OF PAY, HOUSING AND TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION Providing informayon regarding pay rate, housing and transportayon is difficult because each hotel varies based on the cost of living in the area, however the following outline will give you an average. Prior to an interview, host details including pay rate, housing and transportayon are outlined. Cost of Employee Housing The majority of our host properyes who do not offer their own employee housing provide 2 weeks accommodayon at the hotel. A[er the two weeks, the parycipant is expected to find their own housing. Prior to arrival the host property and parycipant is in communicayon and the host property manager sends the parycipant informayon about apartments and roommates in order for the parycipant to begin securing housing before they arrive.

5 DescripEon of Typical Housing The majority of our parycipants share bedrooms (in most cases, this is required when the host property offers their own employee housing). On average, a parycipant can expect to pay $300 - $400 per month on shared housing. Some locayons will be less, some more - but this is also reflected in the rate of pay (in areas of higher cost of living, hotels pay more). If a property does not offer their own employee housing, the parycipant should be ready to pay a security deposit, first month and someymes last month when signing an apartment rental lease. Typically, the security deposit is 100% refundable as long as the terms of the lease have been met

6 and the apartment is returned in the same condiyon as it was rented. Security deposit is normally equal to one months rent, someymes lower. Rates of Pay The following rates of pay are an average: Food and Beverage: The majority of these posiyons are Ypped. ParYcipants can expect to receive a lower hourly rate, and be permixed to keep the Yps they received. In this scenario, a parycipant can expect to earn $ $11.00 per hour (with hourly rate and Yps combined), on busy shi[s, parycipants can expect to earn much more than this. : Average rate of pay $ $10.00 per hour. Front Office: Average rate of pay $ $10.00 per hour Housekeeping Supervisor - average rate of pay $ $9.50 per hour Number of Hours per Week J1 regulayons require the number of hours per week to be a minimum of 32 hours per week. There may be a few Ymes the hours fall below this, but the majority of the Yme the parycipant should be scheduled over 32 hours per week. If a parycipant works more than 40 hours per week, overyme laws apply and the parycipant must receive their hourly rate plus one half for every hour worked over 40. In the event a parycipant falls below 32 hours per week on a consistent basis, AHA must be contacted immediately so we may help resolve with the host.

8 Travel Cost TransportaYon to and from daily work schedule is the responsibility of the parycipant. Most of the parycipants live close to the hotel so they are able to walk, ride a bicycle or take public transportayon. TransportaYon from airport to hotel is the responsibility of the parycipant - in most cases the hotel will assist in organizing and in some cases assists with the cost. Air TransportaYon is the responsibility of the parycipant.
