8 Press Release Island View Casino Resort Breaks Ground on The Beach Casino GULFPORT, Miss. (May 24, 2017) Island View Casino Resort broke ground today on a $75 million expansion, The Beach Casino at Island View. The development, located on the south side of U.S. Highway 90, adjacent to Beach Tower which was completed in 2015, will be a 43,000 square foot smoke-free casino. This casino expansion will give Island View Casino Resort the largest casino floor on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, totaling approximately 123,000 square feet. The Beach Casino s unique design will feature floor to ceiling windows with unmatched views of the Gulf. There will be a large selection of state-of-the-art casino games, more food and beverage options and on-floor entertainment. We have always focused on creating a great resort experience with memorable service for our guests, said Rick Carter, who co-owns Island View Casino Resort with Terry Green. Island View s south side casino expansion will provide our guests with more of the amenities they have requested. 9 Press Release July 26, 2016 MEDIA CONTACT: Kimberly Aguillard Cell: Office: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PORT OF GULFPORT AND ISLAND VIEW CASINO RESORT AMEND LEASE AGREEMENT, PAVING THE WAY FOR FUTURE GAMING PROJECT GULFPORT, Miss. The Mississippi State Port Authority amended their previous lease agreement with Island View Casino Resort, modifying the percentage the Port Authority receives from Island View s gross income. This modification will allow Island View to secure the necessary funding for an additional gaming project. "The Port of Gulfport s amendment to Island View Casino s lease allows us to plan on investing approximately $75 million in a new casino to complement our recently opened beach tower, said Rick Carter, co-owner of Island View Casino Resort. "We are very excited about this project, and we expect to have final plans to show within the next few months." Mirroring the lease agreement made in 2013, where Island View committed to investing $58 million to renovate the hotel tower on the south side of U.S. Highway 90, this new lease agreement paves the way for an additional $75 million in private investment. The Commission s willingness to reduce future revenues and to allow Island View to pursue further expansion efforts, solidifies the company s position in South Mississippi s gaming market, said Jonathan Daniels, MSPA executive director and CEO. The structure of this new agreement will also allow for significant increases in tax revenue for the state of Mississippi, Harrison County, and the city of Gulfport. I commend the State Port for having the foresight to negotiate an amendment to its lease with Island View, setting the stage for additional employment opportunities in one of the state s strongest industry sectors, said Gov. 10 Press Release Island View Casino Resort opens $58 million beach tower hotel in Gulfport, Miss. Gulfport, Miss. (April 29, 2015) - Officials with Island View Casino Resort today opened the doors to a $58 million hotel tower, located directly on the Gulf of Mexico shore, during a ceremony attended by several local and state dignitaries, including Gov. Phil Bryant. The hotel expansion, which includes several high-end restaurants and amenities, is the third phase of growth and investment for the Gulfport, Miss. resort, which opened in 2006, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina s devastation. As a private, locally owned business, we recognized the opportunity to further invest in the Mississippi Gulf Coast s future through this property expansion, which will strongly support the growth of our area s tourism industry and create a significant economic driver, including approximately 300 direct jobs, said Rick Carter, who co-owns the resort with Terry Green. Today, as we proudly cut the ribbon to open the new beach tower, we are grateful to the support of this project by so many, including Gov.
