9 The Ogliastran sea is guaranteed to amaze. The long beaches in the south and the small creeks in the north are the pearls of the Mediterranean. The rocks that emerge from the clear blue appear to be suspended between sea and sky, offering a safe harbour for gulls and seabirds. Centuries of isolation have protected it from building developments and overcrowding. This is a natural environment that has remained mostly intact through the minimal interference of mankind, having managed to extract great pleasure from its secrets without harming it.

An outback so charming and full of pathos, where even the rocks seem to come alive and play with our imagination, creating natural arches that are as perfect as frames, and stones with formations that remind us of animals and human faces. Even the pebbles join in on the fun, dancing beneath our feet along the Supramonte paths.
