The project has a strong focus on information management regarding Critical Infrastructures. The model to be set up will allow a comprehensive and systematized collection of data relevant to assess the risk of terrorism at local/sub-national and national level from the main stakeholders such as local authorities, enforcing agencies, Critical Infrastructures owners thanks to an integrated and geo-located mapping system based on a shared set of indicators. Beneficiaries are 3 municipalities (Milan, Varna, and Budapest), the Safety Region of Rotterdam, and Milan Catholic University. Supported by the scientific know-how of the Catholic University and UNICRI, the partnership aims at introducing and disseminating common methodologies. The aim of the final local event is to present to the local stakeholders the main outputs of the project; Set of indicators of terrorism risk and Synthetic Risk Assessment Index and Analysis of EU and global systems and methodologies. Health-TIES project (FP7) addresses Europe s largest health challenges: an ageing population and the sustainability of the healthcare system. This cross-border challenge needs a collaborative approach! True collaboration between medical scientists, engineers, healthcare providers, industry and government is the key to innovation in healthcare (the third revolution ). The goal of the project is to maximise the impact of innovation and RTD on healthcare, accelerate innovation: Health-TIES accelerates the Healthcare Technology Innovation Cycle, which connects engineers and medical professionals, scientists and entrepreneurs, developers and end-users. 4

5 The conference will focus on the health related business and scientific cooperation along the triple helix, based on the Health-Ties achievements. The angle of Europe in my region: responding to our global challenges will be respected along the agenda. International level: ambassadors, HealthTies project partners Regional level: triple helix actors, vice mayor, rector, political decision makers, local municipalities, local stakeholders. 5

The event will introduce the benefits of some EU funded projects that are supporting local municipalities in defining their way to energy savings and in optimal case to energy self-sufficiency. This one-day event will bring the Brussels Open Days back to the region, building on the themes debated in our Brussels event on 8 Oct. We will inform the participants about the findings of the speakers of the Brussels event regarding the available practices of quality data collection that create the grounds for local energy strategies and action plans. We will raise awareness about how the South Transdanubian is represented within the relevant programmes of the European Union (European Territorial Cooperation projects, Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, Covenant of Mayors, etc.) and the advice municipalities how to get support from these mechanisms. The event will be aimed at elected local politicians, mayors of local communities, presidents and managers of local cooperation, mainly LEADER groups the regional development agency, regional innovation agency, universities, non-governmental organisations. The content of the event will be designed to engage the audience including people who have little or no previous experience of European work and funding, in order to raise their awareness of the opportunities available especially on the field of energy management. 6

12 CBC AT/HU Austria - Hungary (European Cooperation Day) "Putting on the kettle for a cross-border goulash!" Sárrod 18 September 2013 Organisers: CBC AT/HU Austria - Hungary On 18 September 2013, we invite everyone to join our Austrian-Hungarian get-together. Between 10:00 and 16:00 we will put on the kettles for a real Hungarian goulash in the Pannonian Basin! The event will take place in the visitor centre of the cross-border national park Fertő-Hanság/Neusiedler See Seewinkel in László-major, Sarród. During this programme s last year, we would like to reflect on past years and provide an opportunity to discuss challenges and joint achievements. 13 Transnational Programme Central Europe (European Cooperation Day) "Hungarian Conference on the Central Europe Programme" Budapest 16 September 2013 Organisers: Transnational Programme Central Europe The Hungarian Contact Point invites you to the Central Europe Conference organised within the framework of European Cooperation Day 2013 with an initiative taking place at Danubius Hotel Gellért, in Budapest, Szent Gellért tér 1, on 16 September The conference will focus on presentations from selected Central Europe project, which have a Hungarian lead partner. Moreover, key assumptions of the future programme will be presented. The conference language is Hungarian only. Project stakeholders

BioRitmus Festival" Békéscsaba September 2013 Organisers: CBC HU/RO Hungary - Romania All those interested are invited to take part in the 7th BioRitmus Festival, offering the possibility to get acquainted with the area of the Körös-Criş Valley, an area stretching between Hungary and Romania, through an attractive magazine and a photo-exhibition. The Körösök Völgye (Vaile Crisurilor) adventure magazine gives a complex picture of this area. More information on the project is available <a href=' If you'd like to do sports, on 14 September 2013, it is possible to join a bicycle trip from Salonta (Romania) to Békéscsaba (Hungary), on the newly constructed HuroBike30 bicycle road. The final stop of the bicycle trip is the BioRitmus festival, a good place for genuine regeneration of the body and soul. These two projects, including 6 issues of this 92-page-magazine and the bicycle road between Salonta and Békéscsaba, came to life thanks to the funding provided by the Hungary-Romania Cross-Border Cooperation Programme This festival drives you back to health and nature, where your body, soul and mind can recover and gain new energy. With all your senses, you can experience old Hungarian traditions, handicrafts and organic ways of life in the field of housing, child-care, health, eating, playing, dancing and singing. On 13 September 2013, you can listen to lectures on marketing possibilities from local producers and best practices in this field. Besides this, an interactive ecology programme will also be organised for children. This evening you can also be part of a surprise! On the second day, 14 September 2013, the BioRitmus Festival will offer useful lectures for men and women, a tent of fairy tales and a straw castle for children, interactive handicrafts for all, free health consultations and organic whole foods. Local farmers will sell products of late summer and early autumn, even from organic farmlands. Folk dancers and musicians will contribute to the good atmosphere the entire day. Be inspired by evening concerts of traditional songs and instrumental music. General public, families and everyone interested in organic culture
