2 Focus Cultural heritage in local collections between the Alps and the Karst - on both sides of the Slovenian-Italian border Territories of: Val Canale (Kanalska Dolina) and the Upper Sava valley (Gornjesavska Dolina) in the north, Brda in the south, Alta Val Torre (Terske Doline) in the west, and the Soča Valley (Posočje) in the east. Scope Collaborative interdisciplinary approach (trans-national, trans institutional cooperation) Network of partners Professionals & Local collections guardians and collectors Professionals from the field of ethnology, museology, folklore, dialectics and linguistics, informatics, Institutions: Institute of Slovenian Ethnology, the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Nova Gorica, the Universita degli Studi di Udine, the Institute of Slovenian Culture in Špeter - (San Pietro al Natisone), Museum Kromberg, Regional museums of Nova Gorica Uppersava Museum Jesenice, Slovenia Slovenian municipality Kobarid, Brda, Kanal ob Soči and Italian municipality (Comune) Lusevera, Taipana, Pulfero & Local private owners of collections amateur individual collectors, associations, communities small museums from the region

3 Orientation: local collections of cultural heritage Protection and research Inventory and documentation Interpretation and presentation Promotion Results An inventory of 34 local collections of different types was created, contextualized, digitalized (over 5,000 objects of local cultural heritage were registered) A complete database of collections was established and made accessible on the project website More than 20 events in different places; Five investments were carried out in adapting houses and spaces for collection presentations Twelve collections were properly adapted for public display Many publications of scientific and promotional character were released Eleven information/contact points were established, forming a new heritage route connecting different places of collections in this area.
