2 INVITATION The Airsport Union of Serbia, kindly invites Air Clubs and invidual gliding pilots to participate in the 1 st restored Open Gliding Championship 2016, Province of Vojvodina in the modifed Club Class. The Championship will be held Avgust 9 th 15 th August 2016, with Aero Club Sremska Mitrovica, at airfield Veliki Radinci ( N, E), 70km western from Belgrade, capital of Serbia. The airfield Veliki Radinci is situated between river Sava and Fruška Gora hill. Mainly it is considered as a flatland facility, yet influenced by hill breeze from nearby charming slopes, woods and wineyards of Fruška Gora. A nice wooden cabins at the airfield, offer a pleasant accomadation, for either pilot or non-pilot guests. Several lakes in the vicinity of Veliki Radinci are very freshy attraction during hot, summer days. Join us at the Open gliding Championship in August 2016 and share amazing airborn and terrestrial beauties of Vojvodina. 7 Competition Classes The 1 st roglicov will be held in the following class as described in the main body of section 3 of the Sporting Code, Chapter 7: - Club Class Competing Pilots Pilots competing at the 1 st roglicov must be a citizen or resident of the Country of one of the FAI member NACs, must satisfy the condition of the FAI sporting Code, General Section 3.7 on citizen-ship and representation and must: Hold a gold badge, or hold a silver badge and have competed in at least one national Championship, or Aero Club contest; Have flown at least 50 hours as a pilot in command, of which at least 40 hours must be in sailplanes; Hold a FAI Sporting Licence with a current FAI stamp; Know, understand and abide by the FAI Sporting Codes and the Rules and Procedures issued for the event. Serbian license: Pilots flying Serbian glider will have to hold an EASA approved or equivalent SPL license. On the 8 th and 9 th Aug, the authorities of Serbian Directorate for Civil Airtraffic will be at the airfield verifying the licenses for all pilots requesting it personally. Licence procedure takes only 15 minutes having all the requirements and with previous appointment. All requirements and instructions are at the website: Notice: Pilots cannot fly during official training without appropriate license. 7

8 Entries The maximum number of participants as approved is 16. Registration Competitors and Team Captains will have to register online on the competition website The online registration of Preliminary Entries will open on May 15 th and close on July 25 th The organizer kindly asks all registrants to fill the form carefully in all required fields. A participant's photo must be included with the registration (JPG or TIF format). Each participant's National Aeroclub has to support him/her in the Preliminary Entry Form, availble at the website and send it by mail to the Organizer before the deadline of July 25 th The date when each registration is accepted will be published in the list of the registered participants as soon as possible. ENTRY FEE The entry fee is 100 euro for each competitor. The entry fee covers all operational costs for parcipating in the chmpionship, including the free use of all camping facilities. It does not include the aerotow. The deadline for the wire transfer is the final enties due, July 25 th. Wire transfer banking information and instructions are displayed on the web site Notice: When instructing the wire transfer at sender s bank, you must indicate that the sebder ispaying all transfer fees so that the full entry fee is credited to the Organizer s bank account. 8

9 Any entry fee for the competitor whose registration is not accepred will be returned to the sender s bank account immediately. All bank charges will be paid by the competitor. Aerotow FEE Aerotows will be to 600 m QFE. The price per aerotow is 30 eur. The Organizer requries at least 6 aerotow coupons prepaid. Any unused coupon for aerotow will be returned. Payments will only be sccepted in cash currency: EURO. INSURANCE To be informed soon on the website. Local Procedures Local procedures as well as a self briefing will be published 1 month prior to the event at the website. Contest Area, Turn Points Information anout the contestt area and airspace use will be published 1 months prior to event at the website. The contest area will be located in Veliki Radinci. The organizer will provide information on airspace restrictions. If any additional restriction should arise the organizer will communicate it immediatelly. A List of turn points and turn point files in the most common formats will also be available at the website. 9

10 Scoring Software The official scoring software is Naviter SeeYou Competition ( The way to submit IGC files will be specified at the first Team Captain s briefing at the latest. Pilots will be able to send their IGC files up to 1 hour after landing, folowing options available: Uploading the file to: By mail to: aerosm.aksm@gmail.com Hand delivery of the log file but only through the Team Captains. FR Any kind of FR is accepted. Accommodation Camping is possible FOR FREE on the airfield campsite ONLY for competitors and their crew using their own tents or caravans. Or in pensions and hotels around the airfield. Rental information is on the Catering Meals may be purchased directly at the airfield restaurant and coffe shop. Gliders for Rent If you are interested in renting a glider, you will find more information at the Mobile Phones For security reasons, the Organizer will provide for rent to Team Capains and comptitors a functional local mobile phone to be used exclusively for the Championship. This will be the mobile phone number at which the organization will keep contact with the Team Captains. There will be local sim cards available. 10
