General Organizer The 21 th FAI European Aerobatic Championship 2018 (EAC) will take place under the auspices of the Czech National Aeroclub The operational Organizer is Aeroclub Jindřichův Hradec, Airfield Jindřichův Hradec, Czech Republic. Place and Date The event will take place at Jindřichův Hradec Airfield (LKJH), located about 120 km south of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic More info about airfield is available at The event will take place in the period: September 1 st to September 8 th, Official training days will begin on August 28 th and will end on August 31 st, Opening briefing will be on August 31 st, 2018 at 20.00LT Training Flights Official training flights at LKJH airfield will be possible from August 28 th till August 31 st, The competition box will be marked during official training days Earlier training flights are possible with previous agreement of the Organizer. Regulations Rules The EAC2018 will be conducted according to the following rules: FAI Sporting Code General Section, FAI Sporting Code Section 6 Part 1, Flight Rules published by the Civil Aviation Authorities of the Czech Republic, Local Regulations v2.1 Page 3

4 3. Participation, Competitors and Aircrafts Participants All FAI member NACs may be represented at the EAC2018 by the team and/or an individual competitors/observer Entries will be accepted from National Aero Clubs only (according to FAI Sporting Code, Section 6 Part 1) Other non-nac entries will be accepted according to FAI Sporting Code, Section 6 Part Each competitor should be a holder of: a valid Pilot License with an aerobatic extension according to competitor s national legislation, a valid FAI Sporting License, a valid Medical certificate. Aircraft All participating aircraft must satisfy the performance criteria essential for competition flights in the advanced/unlimited aerobatic category For all competing aircraft a valid Certificate of Airworthiness of the related country must be presented For all competing aircraft using the airspace of the Czech Republic, liability insurance must be concluded with respect to damage caused by operation of that aircraft to third parties covering a minimum amount in SDR (Special Drawing Rights) or in equivalent value of any other freely convertible currencies, for the aircraft with MTOW as mentioned below: MTOW up to 1000 kg SDR (approx EUR) MTOW above 1000 kg to 2700 kg SDR (approx EUR) Each competing aircraft must be insured against 3rd Party Public Liability, according to EU Regulation (EC) No. 785/2004, claims with a minimum amount as mentioned above according to MTOW. Aircraft arriving to the Czech Republic must be able to present their insurance policy with a copy in English, certified by the Insurance Company All competing aircrafts must be equipped with VHF radio channel separation of 8,33 khz according to Implementing Regulation (IR) 1079/2012 of European Commission valid from January 1 st, Hangar space for competing aircraft will be available free of charge for the period of the Championship In case of insufficient hangar capacity, priority will be determined by the Organizer. 5 4. Team Composition Competitors As specified in para 3.1. of this Bulletin. Other Team Members Each team may include the team members according to FAI Sporting Code, Section 6 Part 1. Observers Other persons (i.e. team member s relatives) will be accepted as observers of National Team. No Entry Fee for observers will be collected, but expenses with stay at the airfield, meals, accommodation and attendance at Opening and Closing ceremonies or other events of championship official program needs to be covered individually. This option will be available at info center during championship. 5. Entries and Registration Deadline for the Entries The Official Entry Forms as well as the Entry Fees must be provided to the Organizer not later than July 27 th, If payment is made later or at the contest site, an additional EUR 200 will be charged Any participant wishing to query the arrival and clearance of their fees should contact the Organizer using info@eac2018.cz or the other contact information in part 10 of this document Entry Fee must be paid in full amount and bank fees must be charged to sender s account. Registration Registration can be made using following communication channels: Ordinary mail - send your applications to CZECH AEROBATIC CENTER at the address specified in part Electronically using use address info@eac2018.cz in which case registrations should be considered as valid after confirmation from the Organizer. Electronically using the webform at website In this case confirmation letter form NAC needs to be uploaded. 6 Free Known sequence submission The Free Known sequence of each competitor should be submitted not later than two days before the opening briefing Deadline for the Free Known submission is on August 29 th (WED) at LT Competitors may submit their Free Known sequence to the address Every submission will be confirmed. Sequence submissions are not valid without confirmation Each competitor must submit a computer file of his Free Known sequence in an acceptable format. The computer file must contain complete pages for forms A, B and C as well as forms L and R. The competitor is responsible that the software used has been updated to comply with the Aresti System (Condensed) and Section 6, Part 1 regulations as currently amended by CIVA Hard copies alone or hand drawings will not be accepted. 6. Entry Fees Entry Fees Entry Fees are specified as follows: Competitor: EUR 1800 Other team members and observers: EUR To pay the Entry Fee please use the bank details provided in the paragraph The Entry Fee covers: Accommodation of the participant during the Championship 3 meals per day Official and social functions; Program arranged by the Organizer. The CIVA Sanction Fee, 160 EUR per pilot Single room will be charged by additional fee of 200 EUR See para for late payment fee. Entry Fee Refund Policy If a registered competitor or official should withdraw, his/her NAC may substitute another pilot or official with no financial penalty. If a participant wishes to cancel their entry, the NAC representative must contact the Organizer. The date of withdrawal will be noted by the Organizer and will set the proportion of the fee to be refunded by the Organizer Withdrawal before July 27 th, % of the entry fee will be refunded Withdrawal after July 27 th and up to August 26 th, % of the fee will be refunded Withdrawal after August 26 th, 2018 no entry fee will be refunded v2.1 Page 6

7 In the case of entry fee refunds the refunded amount will be reduced by any bank fees that apply on the Organizer side If a competitor is disqualified from the event according to FAI Sporting Code, Section 6 Part 1, no entry fee will be refunded. 7. Protests Protest Fee Protest must be submitted accompanied by the payment of 70 EUR. 8. Accommodation and catering Accommodation Accommodation for Competitors and other Team members will be covered by the Organizer from August 31 st to September 9 th (9 nights) List of the hotels will be published on the contest website Catering Three meals per day and refreshment for all participants will be arranged by the Organizer. Breakfast will be provided by hotel. Lunch and dinner will be provided at LKJH airfield Meals for Competitors and Team members will be provided from August 31 st (dinner) to September 8 th (dinner) Meals and refreshment will be available during official training days in local airport restaurant. 9. Officials No Entry Fee is required for CIVA appointed Officials Organizer covers accommodation and meals for following Officials: 3 members of International Jury. Chief Judge and 2 Assistants. 7 CIVA selected Judges. 7 CIVA selected Judge Assistants Accommodation for Officials will be covered by the Organizer from August 31 st to September 9 th (9 nights). 8 Accommodation of all Officials will be in double rooms arranged by the Organizer. The Organizer will try to fulfill any requests for specific accommodation needs, but additional costs (i.e. single room) will not be covered. International Jury President of Int.
