2 Day 1 Country of origin to Kolkata Depart from home country to Kolkata (or Delhi), and stay overnight in Kolkata (Swissotel or Pipal Tree). For Singapore departures: Check-in at 7.00pm at Singapore Changi Airport. Our flight SQ 516 departs at 9.00pm to arrive at 10.35pm at Kolkata. Day 2 Kolkata to Bagdogra to Kalimpong This morning, depart from Kolkata (or Delhi) towards Bagdogra, from where we journey towards Kalimpong, which used to be a British Hill Station with a charming view of the surrounding mountains. We spend the night at the heritage hotel Elgin Silver Oaks. Day 3 Kalimpong to Pelling Today, we journey towards the west of Sikkim via Ravangla at an altitude of 2100m, where we shall visit Buddha Park, built in commemoration of the 2550th birth anniversary of the Gautama Buddha. The 135ft-tall statue of the Buddha overlooks the mountains with meditative composure, bestowing the area with a sense of bliss and serenity. We journey for a further two hours to reach the newly-opened Chumbi Mountain Spa Retreat, which sits in the lap of the mighty Himalayas and presents a 180 degree view of the snowy peaks, including the third highest mountain in the world, Mt Kanchendzonga (8595m). The scenery is breathtaking, and the environment is tranquil and graceful. Day 4 Yuksom (Overnight Pelling) In the morning, journey towards Sikkim s first ancient capital at Yuksom. Enroute, visit a mighty waterfall, at the foot of which we shall enjoy a hot cup of milk tea. Life in the remote mountains is as such, time flows at a slower pace, and this unhurried sense of time is in itself a form of wealth. 3 In the pine forests at Norbugang, there stands an ancient pine tree, beneath which are four stone seats, which was the coronation throne of Sikkim s first King, Phuntsog Namgyal, in The old pine forests at Norbugang guard the throne like faithful generals, evoking a sense of timelessness. Colourful prayer flags flutter in the wind, and the sound of prayers subtly reverberate through the forest. The tranquility and resounding silence touches one s core. Day 5 Pelling to Gangtok This morning, we visit Sikkim s second ancient capital, Rabdentse. To reach the archeological ruins of the ancient capital, we walk through verdant forests for about 20mins, enjoying the fresh forest air filled win negative ions and Phytoncides, which have purification properties and are beneficial for our health. From there, we visit the ancient Pemayangtse Monastery. After lunch, we return to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. We spend the night at Elgin Norkhill. Day 6 Gangtok to Lachung An exciting journey lies ahead as we head towards North Sikkim, affectionately known as the Switzerland of the East, with breathtaking scenery along the way. The broad valleys and sparkling rivers evokes a sense of boundless freedom, while the fresh air filled is truly invigorating. Dat 7 Yumthang (Overnight Lachung) This morning, we journey 23km north of Lachung towards Yumthang (3,500m), the Valley of Flowers, one of the most beautiful in Sikkim. The towering snow peaks and coniferous forests through which a crystal clear stream flows and Yaks roam transport one into a pristine and wondrous world from which mundane concerns seem far away. Take a relaxing dip in the hot spring which looks out onto the broad valley. One may venture as far as Zero Point, where the glaciers are. We return to Lachung for the night. 4 Day 8 Katao (overnight Lachung) We visit Katao, a beautiful and unspolit valleys with flowers, yaks, meandering streams, and snow mountains unfolding before one s eyes. Enjoy ample of time to take walks through the valley, and enjoy the fresh pine-scented air. Day 9 Lachung to Gangtok Today we return to the capital of Sikkim, Gangtok. In the evening, we have time for a stroll along Gangtok s pedestrianised thoroughfare, M.G. Marg, with opportunities to buy local produce and souvenirs. Day 10 Gangtok to Bagdogra to home country We bid farewell to Sikkim as we return to Bagdogra for our onward flight towards Kolkata (or Delhi). We arrive in Kolkata (or Delhi), and if there is a long transit, we head to Pipal Tree Hotel in the vicinity for some rest, before departing to our home country. For Singapore departures: We depart form Kolkata at 11.50pm on SQ 517 to Singapore, arriving in singapore at 6.40am the next day, refreshed and relaxed. Sikkim Discovery Pte Ltd 2016 Page 4 of 6

Domestic airfare on Spice Jet. Fine quality accomodation, two days of which are at Chumbi Mountain Retreat, one day at Elgin Silver Oaks, and one day at Elgin Norkhill. All meals and tea break. Luxury vehicle SUV Toyota Innova, and English-speaking driver cum guide. Sikkim Inner Line Permit The temperature in April, May, Oct and Nov is pleasant, around 15 to 25 degree celcius. Shirts, blouses and long pants shall suffice when the sun is out, however, please bring along light sweaters for the mornings and evenings. Sunglasses, a cap and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Kindly be aware that there will be several days where there shall be heavy travelling in the car along mountain roads. We shall nonetheless take breaks along the way to stretch our legs and take short walks on certain stretches. The altitude is relatively low (less than 2300m) for most part of the journey, where the possibility of altitude sickness is very low. However, on Day 5, we shall be travelling into the Yumthang Valley which is at a height of 3500m. Altitude sickness may be experienced, and those with health conditions should seek professional advice from the doctors before embarking on the journey. We have sought to make this journey as leisurely as possible, and the hotels are of the best standards available locally. Nonetheless, the meandering mountainous roads and long distances require an adequate level of physical fitness.
