(Enbridge) Line 3 Replacement Program (Project) Application of 5 November 2014 (Application) On 5 November 2014, Enbridge applied to the National Energy Board (Board) under sections 52 and 58 of the National Energy Board Act, and section 45.1 of the National Energy Board Onshore Pipeline Regulations, for approval to construct and operate approximately 1073 km of new pipeline to replace the majority of the existing Line 3 pipeline, and to decommission the corresponding part of the existing Line 3 pipeline, from Enbridge s Hardisty Terminal, located near Hardisty, Alberta to Gretna Station, located near Gretna, Manitoba. On 4 February 2015, the Board determined the Application complete to proceed to assessment. On 5 February 2015, the Board issued a Notice of Public Hearing and Application to Participate. On 28 April 2015, the Board issued the List of Participants for the hearing. /2
2 - 2 - The Board is now issuing the attached Hearing Order OH The Hearing Order explains the procedures that will be followed for the assessment of the Application. The Hearing Order also includes a timetable of events.
