The collection features Jensen s all-time bestsellers, now with innovations both on the inside and outside of the beds. Nature has been a great source of inspiration for the design of the products as well as for the selection of textiles and accessories. The company was founded on February 14, The first six mattresses were made from horsehair and cotton. Quite a lot has of course changed since then, but one thing has remained steadfast and true our striving for optimal sleep comfort. We want our customers to feel that the sleep comfort provided by a Jensen bed is extraordinary. These days, Jensen is one of the leading bed producers in Scandinavia. The factory is located in Svelvik, on the shores of the Oslo Fjord. The feeling there is one of pride and expertise which no machine in the world can replace. 4 DESIGNED FOR SLEEP COMFORT Jensen s products are manufactured to provide maximum body support and sleep comfort. Instead of adhering rigidly to old methods and materials, Jensen is constantly searching for new solutions. As a result, we always use the most modern materials available. The search for optimal sleep comfort is the driving force for the innovations that have made Jensen so famous within its sector. Over the years, a whole range of new pressure-reducing materials and constructions have borne the Jensen hallmark. A system of springs divided into zones is one of the many examples, as is further optimisation of the zone system using stretch fabrics. 4

6 HEAVENLY SLEEP EVERY DAY JENSEN ORIGINAL ZONE SYSTEM Jensen Original Zone System provides proper support for the entire body when at rest and asleep. Support for the curve of the back, in combination with a soft shoulder zone, is the key to an optimal sleep experience. The zone system is based on self-evident and natural principles. Most people are broader in the hip and shoulder areas and narrower and heavier around the waist. Since the main purpose of the mattress is to support the body, the division into zones provides more equal and comfortable support where the shoulders and hips sink deeper into the mattress, with firmer support for the heavier waist area. The effect is the same regardless if you lie on your back or on your side. 6

A PERFECT MATTRESS 5 The mattress gives the body equal and comfortable support. Hips and shoulders sink into the mattress so that the waist and lower back are perfectly supported. AN EXCESSIVELY SOFT MATTRESS 5 The body sinks too far into the mattress, as in a hammock and the spine is unnaturally curved. ON YOUR BACK 5 The best position to lie in bed is on your back, especially if you have a relatively soft mattress or an adjustable bed. THE RIGHT SLEEP POSITION Our experts recommend that sleeping on your side or back will ensure your body is well rested after a comfortable night s sleep. Other positions expose the body to higher loads while at rest. We assume that you are physically able to lie on your side or back, and that you have no health problems or handicaps that might make it impossible or difficult to do so. Getting used to a new way of lying in bed takes a little time and training. But once your body has become used to this new way, you will find that you sleep more peacefully and are more rested when you wake up. 7

10 EVOLUTION: INSIDE JENSEN ORIGINAL ZONE SYSTEM The Jensen Original Zone System combines a soft shoulder zone with built-in support for the lower back. POCKET ON POCKET - Jensen full pocket technology Jensen Pocket on Pocket technology is brand new and has upgraded spring systems. The Jensen Pocket on Pocket system features through all layers of the bed, create a whole new world of sleep comfort - a deeper comfort and a more stable bed. Dual tension Technology Our continental divan sets can be available as dual tension. Today s technology makes this possible whilst maintaining the appearance of a one piece mattress. 10

11 JENSEN ALOY SPRING SYSTEM Ambassador, Prestige and Supreme beds are fitted with the Jensen Aloy spring system. Aloy is our best and most flexible spring system, which continually adapts to various body positions and weight distributions. The spring system makes the entire mattress surface very soft, since the firmer zones only provide support when your body actually sinks into the mattress. Jensen Aloy has an extra broad shoulder zone that provides greater freedom of movement and flexibility as well as contributes to fantastic sleep comfort and improved pressure reduction. In addition, soft transitions between the zones ensure optimal comfort. Stretch Stretch in all the sleeping surfaces optimises the properties of the spring systems. WASHING INSTRUCTIONS All sleep surfaces are washable at 60 C to ensure optimal hygiene (not TempSmart ). THE FILLING MATERIALS All our filling materials provide excellent air and moisture transportation. As a result, our beds are allergy friendly and hygienic. TEXTILES The Jensen Supreme Collection uses only foam-laminated textiles that conceal the transition between the firm and soft parts of the mattress. All textiles used in the collection are high-quality furniture textiles. JENSEN BASES All Jensen Nordic bases in this collection have reversible boxes that substantially extend the lifespan of the bases. Concealed zippers give the beds an attractive look. 11

12 INVEST IN SLEEP It is a fact that you get stronger if you sleep better. Sleep is an investment in quality of life. After all, you spend a third of your life in bed! Sleep is a basic need and a vital state that neither humans nor animals can live without for many days. In the short term, sleeping badly or insomnia causes concentration problems, mood swings and makes us a danger in traffic. In the long term, it results in a lowered resistance to sickness, speeds up the aging processes, de-energises us and even has social consequences. Height, weight and body shape are important factors when buying a mattress. The mattress must provide comfortable support to your entire body and keep your spine as straight as possible. The degree of firmness that you choose is therefore important and you should take your time when trying out a bed in the shop. In addition, all packaging and production waste is recycled in accordance with the requirements of Norwegian Recycling (Norsk Gjenvinning). PROVEN QUALITY Møbelfakta is a voluntary, independent test and quality assessment of Scandinavian furniture. All Møbelfakta tests are based on Norwegian and international standards (EN and ISO) and are performed by certified laboratories. Møbelfakta requirements apply to, among other things, firmness and durability, the quality of materials, stability, flammability, finishing and safety. All Jensen mattresses have been tested and approved by Møbelfakta. COMPREHENSIVE GUARANTEE All Jensen beds are supplied with a 5-year full guarantee and a 25-year guarantee against frame or spring breakages. The Nordic usually features a dual-sprung Jensen pocket spring system with Jensen Pocket on Pocket technology. Furthermore, it has a sturdy bed frame and can be used in bed steads, either with Jensen legs or together with Jensen Mistral bed stead. 3CONTINENTAL DIVAN SET A continental divan set, featuring Jensen Pocket on Pocket technology offers the very best Jensen sleep comfort. These days it is one of the most popular and renowned Jensen products. Over the years the Ambassador has been continuously developed and the bed has now been embellished with new fabric and colours. The covering comes from the well-known Danish fabric manufacturer Gabriel. The smooth, elegant fabric is available in four colours. Ambassador has the Jensen Original Zone System with Jensen Aloy pocket springs (12.5 cm). Aloy has an extra soft, extra broad shoulder zone and built-in support for the lower back. The Supreme reflects this more than any other bed. Jensen Supreme is available in six different colours, all of which are inspired by the Norwegian nature, and each colour is available in a range of fabric combinations. A plain fabric is used for the base and the reversible mattresses, and a unique design fabric is used for the headboards. The Innvik wool fabric was especially designed for the Supreme. Jensen Aqtive II/III is dual-sprung with a spring system both in the base and in the mattress, a construction that provides great stability. The head and foot ends are fully adjustable using the wireless remote control that operates two powerful but virtually silent electric motors. Mattress toppers must feel encompassing, soft and at the same time allow the zone spring system to provide your body with the necessary support. A lot of effort goes into the design and choice of materials. The design of all 2012 mattress toppers has been improved to enhance the stretch, the look and the softness. An optimised zone quilt in the shoulder and hip areas, for example, increases the elasticity of the fabric and allows you to sink deeper than before into all Jensen mattress toppers, reinforcing our Jensen Original Zone System philosophy. Furthermore, our continuous development of the filling materials have resulted in enhanced individual adjustment through a softer and firmer side. Quallofil Allerban Quallofil Allerban fibres have four air channels that not only ensure excellent ventilation in the mattress, but also maintain its firmness and shape. In addition, Allerban fibres help to prevent mould and dust mite. Jensen mattress toppers featuring this function are recommended for people with allergies. 3 SOFTLINE II Mattress topper with several great properties. SoftLine II features a Cellex XO 6.5 cm filling. Height: 9 cm. Sensity Sensity is a mattress ticking that uses active probiotic bacteria to keep your bed naturally fresher, drier and more hygienic. The probiotic bacteria exist organically in nature and are used in the unique Sensity patented technology to give you a truly refreshing good night s sleep HOW DOES SENSITY WORK? Probiotic microflora are incorporated into the fabric in the form of microencapsulated spores. These friendly microorganisms remain inactive until released by the friction between the sleeper s body and the mattress. At this point, they become active. WASHING INSTRUCTIONS The mattress covers are separable, removable and washable. All Jensen s mattress toppers are washable at 60 C, except the TempSmart mattress toppers that have to be washed at 40 C. The zippers are concealed. We recommend that the mattress cover is divided into two parts and that these two parts are washed separately. Make sure you check the laundry size for your washing machine. The mattress cover is made from high-quality fibres that absorb large quantities of water. As a result, the mattress cover may overheat and shrink if the machine is too small. The mattress cover must be stretched while moist and hung up to dry immediately to prevent discoloration. The mattress topper textile may contract during washing, but will regain its original size after a couple of days. 3 SOFTLINE III One of our best mattress toppers. Fantastic sleep comfort. The upper part of the mattress topper is split, which makes it possible to raise or lower the head end independently, while the foot end is just like a normal full-size mattress topper.
