The hotter or colder the contents when placed inside carrier, the longer the temperature will be retained. 2. Place ice/packs on top of covered contents or hot packs underneath to extend the holding time of your dish. 3. Do not use or store near open flame, place in oven or on stovetop. A: While the insulation of the Domestic Diva LA Casserole Carrier is nearly twice that of many competitors products, and lining is a premium foil (not vinyl, which melts easily), for safety reasons, we do not recommend that you place items directly from an oven that is set to more than 250 directly into the carrier. Instead, we recommend you allow the dish to rest for a few minutes first. Q: Will condensation form inside of the carrier? A: Any extremely hot dish that is placed in the carrier has the potential to create condensation as it would in any container. Likewise, a frozen item will start to thaw, also creating moisture. To prevent food from getting soggy with condensation, we recommend you loosely cover extremely hot food with aluminum foil and cut a few slits in the foil to allow steam to escape into the carrier where it can be easily wiped away clean after use. If you place a frozen food item in the carrier, any thawing that occurs will drip toward the bottom of the carrier where it will most likely not interfere with the texture of your dish. Please note that if you use a manufacturer provided lid for your casserole, or dish, be sure it is heat proof or resistant before placing it on a hot dish. Q: Many carriers and bags with handles cut into my hand and make it especially difficult to carry heavier items. Will this carrier do the same thing to my hand? A: The short answer is, no! The Domestic Diva LA Insulated Casserole Carrier was very carefully designed with a comfort grip handle. Unlike other products with only bare cutouts for handles, both sides of our carrier s handle come together and are secured by another piece of sturdy fabric that wraps around the opening of the handle and closes with Velcro for a smooth finish. In addition, the edges of the handle are wrapped in a soft trim for additional coverage and comfort. Q: If the carrier folds flat, are the sides reinforced? How will it support my heavy casserole dish? A: Because the carrier is constructed using a heavy 5mm foam insulation, 600 Denier Canvas Polyester, a sturdy zipper and wide handles stitched into the full width of the carrier, while the sides of the carrier are not rigid, it was intentionally designed to retain a good shape when in use and will still fold nearly flat for convenient storage.
