1 Kindergarten Supply List Below is a list of items that students will need to have on the first day of Kindergarten. These supplies will be used throughout the year to ensure they are succeeding and learning efficiently. If there are unused items, please be assured they will be returned home with your child at the end of the year. However, because many of these items are communal, we cannot guarantee all items will be returned if you move away or your child transfers mid year. Please write your child s name on all materials with the label icon next to it including their backpack, clothing, and personal belongings. Supplies are communal, therefore please do not label any materials that do not have the icon. THANK YOU! These supplies will be used throughout the year to ensure scholars are succeeding and learning efficiently. Please write your child s name on their uniform and backpacks as well as any items with a label icon. However, some supplies are communal, therefore please do not label any materials that do not have the icon. 3 Welcome to Second Grade!!! Please write your child s name on the bag/backpack and on his/her uniforms. All scholars are required to have an extra set of clothes (uniform or appropriate street clothes) at school in case of spills, accidents, or emergencies. Please DO NOT label any of the supply items unless otherwise indicated. Thank you. School Home Each student should bring to the first day of school: 1 large book bag/backpack (no bags on rollers the bag needs to squeeze down to fit in your child s cubby) 6 plastic two-pocket folders with three-hole capability (2 green, 2 blue, 2 red) 4 packs of 24 pencils (pre-sharpened if possible) 4 large pink erasers (no pencil toppers) 5 boxes of Kleenex tissue 1 4-pack of black (no color please) Expo dry erase 4 marble notebooks (1 green, 1 blue, 1 red, 1 black OR all black) 1 pack of crayons OR (NO colored pencils!) Each student should have the following for use at home: 1 box of 24-count crayons 1 box of colored (wide-tipped) 1 pack 3 x5 index cards (white) 1 ruler (with centimeters and inches) (Please buy these items and keep at home for homework and class projects.) 2 glue sticks 2 pack 3 x5 index cards (white only) 3 packages of WIDE-RULED loose leaf paper 1 large zippered pencil pouch 1 inch and centimeter ruler (this should be labeled with the scholar s name) 2 highlighters (pink or blue preferred) Please also consider these items in as donations to share with the class: If scholar s last name begins with an A-K: 2 packs of Lysol or disinfecting wipes (no bleach) Storage bags (quart size or gallon zipper close) 2 rolls of paper towels If scholar s last name begins with L-Z: 2 packages of hand wipes or baby wipes 2 bottles of hand sanitizer (waterless) 1 box of band-aids
