2 where curious journeys begin Camp CuriOdyssey offers interactive experiences that spark excitement and ignite curiosity. Campers take their experiences of inquiry, investigation, and individual discovery and develop lifelong critical thinking skills. Our camp groups are small by design to ensure that campers enjoy personal, rich explorations of the world. Experienced camp leaders create an environment that empowers campers to question, examine, and imagine. Join Camp CuriOdyssey to tinker with tops, launch a two-litre rocket, encounter live animals, and climb up trees. Experience the fun of science and uncover the wonders of the natural world. 3 Photo by Sanders Fabares Camp Themes Each camp offers exciting activities specific to the age/ grade group and camp theme. Within a camp theme, activities may repeat during the summer. Campers are encouraged to attend different themes. Camp activities change from year to year! While we may repeat some favorite activities, a 1st grader who enjoyed Gadgets and Gizmos Camp last summer can enroll again as a 2nd grader and have another distinctive camp experience. Age/Grade Groups Our camps are designed to be developmentally appropriate for each age/grade group to ensure that children get the most out of their camp experience. For this reason, we do not combine camp groups or place campers in groups outside of their age/grade. If you feel your camper has extenuating circumstances and would like to request an exception, please contact the Director of Education, Carl Oosterman, at (650) Pre- and Post-Camp Pre-camp care is provided for half-day and full-day camps from 8:30-9:00am. Post-camp care is available for full-day camps from 4:00-5:00pm. Pre- and post-camp care are included at no additional charge. PRESCHOOL CAMPS (3- & 4-year-olds as of June 1, 2013) Growing Scientists This summer, Growing Scientists can enjoy three differently themed camp weeks. Each offers engaging activities specially developed for 3- & 4-year- olds. Campers are encouraged to sign up for all three! Within a camp theme, activities may repeat during the summer. Nature Detectives Look through lenses, peek inside a plant, or construct creations inspired by nature. Follow your nose through our garden, build a tasty sculpture, and search outdoors for clues to nature s design. This camp encourages small scientists to explore the world using all five senses. We ll investigate nature through safe and exciting explorations of sound, light, texture, taste, and smell. Join us to develop your investigative skills and discover the sparkly, gooey, and stinky sides of science! Why are some animals furry and others feathered? How fast does a snail move? What does an owl eat? Have an up close and personal encounter with some of the animals at the museum and learn about their amazing adaptations such as how they eat, where they sleep, and where to find them in nature. Go on an adventure to find tiny creatures living around Coyote Point Recreation Area. Find out all about animals in this wild and wooly, slippery and scaly camp! Wheels and Wings How high can you build a tower? How much water can fit on a penny? Can you stir up floating bubbles and puffy foam? Join us to explore the physics of things that fall, float, and flutter and the chemistry of solutions that are slippery, sticky, and slimy. We ll be building, rolling, and stirring all sorts of contraptions and gooey concoctions. Growing Scientists must be potty trained and able to use the bathroom independently. Half Day Camp 8:30am-12:00noon (Pre-camp from 8:30-9:00am) Fee: Member $260 ($210 for session 3) Non-Member $310 ($250 for session 3)

Earth Explorers Constantly changing, our earth is altered by water, wind, and the sun. Join us to explore the natural forces that shape our dynamic planet and make life on Earth possible. They ll prepare animals tasty meals, look at animal biology, explore local habitats, and go behind the scenes to learn from our wildlife keepers the responsibilities of looking after our non-releasable animals.
