1 DAY DAY USEFUL INFORMATION ACTIVITY Journey Time: 11hrs 50 mins Depart UK for Singapore Travel Distance: 10,874KM We will meet at London Heathrow airport (T2) in the morning at least 3 hours before departure, giving us plently of time to check in as a team. Our overnight flight departs in the afternoon on Singapore Airlines flight (SQ305) at 13:35. 1 Saturday 16 July 2016 Accommodation: overnight flight Dinner will be served on the plane. Overnight flight. Heathrow Airport Journey Time: 40min Singapore 2 Sunday 17 July 2016 Travel Distance: 13.2KM Accommodation: 5footway Inn Project Boat Quay hostel - After our overnight flight we arrive at Singapore Changi airport at 09:25. On arrival you will be met by, our in-country agent, Vacation Asia, and taken by private bus to your accomodation at the 5footway Inn Project Boat Quay hostel. After refreshing you will be collected from your hotel and taken to the McRitchie Reservoir for a 5km guided walk. We will have a packed lunch on arrival at the reservoir, making sure to avoid the hungry monkeys! In the evening, we will take a short walk to have dinner at the bustling Maxwell Road Hawker Market and explore China Town. MacRitchie Reservoir Walk - Accommodation arrangements: we'll be split by gender, and arranged into twin and triple rooms together. there are several money exchange services at Singapore Airport & in the nearby streets to your hostel. Journey Time: 6hrs Singapore to Bukit Lawang 3 Monday 18 July 2016 Travel Distance: 805KM Accommodation: Rindu Alam In the morning we will be collected early and taken to the airport for breakfast and our flight to Medan. Depart Singapore Changi airport (T2) at 07:40 on SilkAir flight (MI234), arriving Kualanamu International airport at 08:00. On arrival we will be met by our in country agent, Mel from Adventure Indonesia, and taken by bus to our accommodation, Rindu Alam, in Bukit Lawang. Here you will have the rest of the afternoon to explore your surroundings. There is an eco trail for you to explore that will help you acclimatise to jungle life and learn about the plants you will see. Eco trail details - we'll have 2 guides to show us round the trail. We'll have breakfast at the airport, lunch & dinner will be at your hotel's dining room. at the airports Journey Time: NA Bukit Lawang 4 Tuesday 19 July 2016 Travel Distance: NA Accommodation: Rindu Alam After breakfast in our hotel, we'll enter Bukit Lawang national park and trek through the jungle to see the Orangutang's. After a packed lunch the journey back to town will be on the river by rafts. We'll need to wear our rafting clothes for the trek. Breakfast & dinner will be in our hotel. We'll have a packed lunch on our day out in the jungle. Journey Time: 8hrs Bukit Lawang - Lake Toba (Parapat)

2 Travel Distance: 252KM After breakfast in our hotel, travel to Lake Toba by bus. This is a long journey so we'll try to stop on the way to have a look at some oil and rubber plantations. When we arrive in Parapat we'll be able to relax in the picquresque surroundings of Lake Toba. 5 Wednesday 20 July 2016 Accommodation: Hotel Pandu Breakfast will be at our hotel and we'll stop en route to Lake Toba for lunch at a traditional Sumatran style Restaurant Panorama (Pematang Siantar town). When we arrive at Lake Toba (Parapat) we'll go by bus to have dinner at the Hong Kong restaurant. Journey Time: 9hrs Lake Toba (Parapat) - Padang Sidempuan Travel Distance: 255KM After breakfast, we can enjoy a swim in Lake Toba before begin our journey by bus down the Trans-Sumatran Highway, stopping for lunch, along the way. If time allows we may also get the chance to stop off and see some more traditional villages. 6 Thursday 21 July 2016 Accommodation: Hotel Natama Syariah We'll have breakfast at our hotel and take a lunch box for the journey. We will have a buffet dinner at our hotel tonight. Journey Time: 10hrs Travel Distance: 282KM Padang Sidempuan - Bukittinggi (Harau Valley) Leaving our hotel very early, we'll spend the day getting to Bukittinggi and head straight for our accommdation for some well earnt rest after 3 days of travel. Whilst on the journey be sure to look at the stunning sceneery as we make our way through jungle & rice paddy fields. A highlight of the journey will definately be stopping at the equator! 7 Friday 22 July 2016 Accommodation: The Orchid Hostel Breakfast will be at our hotel, and again we'll have a packed lunch box for the journey. When we arrive we'll walk a short distance to a local restaurant where we'll be having dinner. Journey Time: none Bukittinggi (Harau Valley) 8 Saturday 23 July 2016 Travel Distance: NA Accommodation: The Orchid Hostel Today you will awake in the beautiful Harau Valley in the area of the 50 Kota. In the morning we will get involved with the community by helping them with the rice planting, on a guided tour. The landscape is partiularly stunning, with big contracts between the amazing rock formations and the rice paddy fields. After lunch we'll be learning how to pole ourselves down the river on traditional bamboo rafts, atking it in turns to push our teammates down river. We'll need to ake sure we wear our swimming clothes today. Today's activities will be having a tour of the local rice paddy fields and learning how to pole oursleves on traditional bamboo rafts. Breakfast will be at the same restaurant as dinner the previous night, we'll have a packed lunch and dinner back in the restaurant. Journey Time: 3hrs Bukittinggi (Harau Valley) - Padang 9 Sunday 24 July 2016 Travel Distance: 125KM Accommodation: Hotel Havilla Maranatha After breakfast we'll spend the morning visiting the Japanese caves and going up the watchtower in Bukittinggi, before our afternoon journey to Padang. In the afternoon we will have some JoLt time. Caves & watchtower visit (Bukittinggi). Breakfast will be as on the day before (in the local restaurant), we'll have lunch in town and dinner in a restaurant in Padang. Journey Time: 1,603KM Padang - Jakarta

3 10 Monday 25 July 2016 Travel Distance: 1.55hrs Accommodation: Istana Ratu Hotel available in the hotel or in central Jakarta Journey Time: 3.5hrs After breakfast in our hotel we will be collected and taken to the airport (by bus) in plenty of time for our flight (11:55-13:50) to Jakarta. Upon arrival in Jakarta we will be taken to the old square for a walking tour. From here we will be taken to our hotel where we will be spending the night. We'll be able to walk round the corner to the restaurant where we'll have dinner, Today we'll fly to Jakarta and have a short walking tour of the city centre old square. Breakfast will be in our hotel, we'll get some lunch at the airport and in the evening we'll have a choice of meals from the Daoen Sirih restaurant. Jakarta - Cianjur (Jungle Programme) 11 Tuesday 26 July 2016 Travel Distance: 110KM Accommodation: Campsite This morning we will visit the Monus tower 1st thing (arriving before 08:00 to miss the crowds), before travelling by private bus (3hrs) to the Jungle, arriving around lunchtime. In the we will test our team's survival skills including cooking, building shelters, identifying plants & navigation. There are magnificant views over Jakarata from the Monus tower. The Jungle Programme, will teach us many new skills as well as being our first camping experience! Breakfast at our hotel, lunch and dinner will be at our overnight camp. available in central Jakarta Journey Time: Cianjur (Floating village tour) 12 Wednesday 27 July 2016 Travel Distance: Accommodation: Homestay Laundry: available Today we'll visit the floating village of Cianjur, travelling by boat to reach the bamboo built village, where we will see trading in the market and maybe even get a foot fish spa! In the afternoon we might get the chance to visit a local chocolate plantation, but be prepared for the mosquitos! A boat tour of the floating village, coupled with the chance to visit a local chocolate plantation will be today's highlights. Breakfast at the homestay, lunch with school and dinner at homestay. Journey Time: Cianjur (local school visit) 13 Thursday 28 July 2016 Travel Distance: Accommodation: Homestay Laundry: available Today we'll be spending the day with a local school. We'll get the chance to meet people who work and go to the school, and we'll also be able to take trips together to the markets to buy food so we can be taught how to cook the Cianjur way as well as getting together for some team building games. At the school we could be involved in teaching activities such as basketball or music lessons. Breakfast at the homestay, lunch with school and dinner at homestay. Journey Time: 10hrs Cianjur - Yogykarta (Borobudur) 14 Friday 29 July 2016 Travel Distance: 437KM Accommodation: Edu Hotel Laundry and wifi are available at this hotel. yes, within the local town. Thank our hosts and transfer by bus (approx 4 hours) to the train station (departing at 09:00, arriving 15:00) where we will take the train (approx 6 hours) to Borobudur. Lunch on the train and dinner at our hotel, where we'll get an early night after our long day's travel. Breakfast at homestay, we'll stop to get a packed lunch for the train journey (TBC) and dinner on arrival at our hotel in Borobudur. Journey Time: 8.15hrs Yogykarta (Borobudur) - Borobudur (night train)

4 Travel Distance: 409KM In the morning explore the ancient Buddhist temples of Borobudur. When we get to the temples we will get to ride on elephants, taking it in turns to see how graceful these majestic creatures are. We will be taken to the train station in plenty of time to catch the night train to Malang, departing at 01: Saturday 30 July 2016 Accommodation: night train Activities: explore temples of Borobudur and ride on an elephant! yes, within the local town. Breakfast at our hotel and an early lunch before getting the night train. We'll have dinner on the train! Journey Time: 2hrs Malang (night train) - Cemoro Lawang 16 Sunday 31 July 2016 Travel Distance: 52KM Accommodation: Lava View Lodge Our train arrives at approximately 09:15 and we will be collected from the train station and taken to Cemoro Lawang where we will be staying. After lunch we will be picked up by 4x4 and driven into the valley. From here we will ride by horseback to the crater of Mt Bromo before ascending the stairs to the crater edge! Today's activities are horseriding and the team challenge to get up to the crater stairs! Breakfast on the train. Lunch and dinner will be at our hotel. Journey Time: 10hrs Cemoro Lawang - Kuta (Bali) 17 Monday 01 August 2016 Travel Distance: 381KM Accommodation: Kayun Hostel Laundry: a laundry service and wifi are available here. Get up at 2am to get back into the 4x4's to be driven to the 2nd viewpoint where we'll await the sunrise over the stunning volcano's. Travel back to the Lava Lodge for breakfast before catching a bus to Bali (lengthy journey so a packed lunch is a must)! There is a swimming pool at our hostel in Kuta which we can use if we arrive in time. Breakfast at the Lava View Lodge and packed lunch en route to Kuta. We'll decide en route to Kuta if we have dinner on arrival or a bit before. these are available widely in Kuta. Journey Time: NA Kuta (Bali) 18 Tuesday 02 August 2016 Travel Distance: NA Accommodation: Kayun Hostel Laundry: a laundry service and wifi are available here. Today we will learn to surf in with the Rip Curl surf school on Double Six Beach and relaxing thoroughly as we enjoy a Yoga class in Ubud before returning Kuta for the evening. If time allows we'll also get the chance to visit the monkey forest after lunch. Our surf lessons will be with the Rip Curl Surf School and our Yoga class will be at the Yoga Barn. In the evening organise our bags for the next few days. We'll be leaving our bigger bags at the Adventure Indonesia Office in Kuta for the next few days. Breakfast in our hostel, lunch in Ubud and dinner in Kuta at our hostel. these are available widely in Kuta. Journey Time: 1hrs 40 mins flight Kuta (Bali) - Labuan Bajo - Boat (Rinca Island) 19 Wednesday 03 August 2016 Travel Distance: 493KM Accommodation: on board our boat. Today we have our second internal flight (10:50 departure) that will take us to Labuan Bajo. Upon arrival (12:30) we'll head straight to the port where we'll begin our overnight journey on a boat to Rinca Island. During our trip we'll be visiting the Komodo National Park, snorkelling off some stunning corals and seeing the magnificant Komodo Dragons. Lunch and dinner will be on the boat where we will stay overnight. This afternoon we'll be have our first chance to snorkel. Snorkelling near Rinca Island will be today's main activity. We'll have breakfast in Kuta (Bali), lunch on arrival at our boat and dinner later in the evening once we have moored up for the night.

5 these are available widely in Kuta. 20 Thursday 04 August 2016 Journey Time: all day Travel Distance: 38.7KM Accommodation: Labuan Bajo Beach Resort Boat - Labuan Bajo Begin our day early to take a trip to Rinca Island to visit the Komodo Dragon's. The team's challenge is to walk round Rinca Island whilst observing the mangificant reptiles in their natural habitat. In the afternoon we'll return to Labuan Bajo. On our journey back we can do more snorkelling. Back on land in the evening for dinner and a well earned rest at our hotel, Bajo Beach Resort. Rinca Island Team Challenge to visit the Komod Dragon & snorkelling. Laundry: drop laundry in to be done here which we can collect in Breakfast and lunch will be on the boat. Cunca Canyon! After an early breakfast we will hike to the Cunca Canyon (1.5hrs). We will spend some time relaxing at the canyon swimming in the Wulang Cascades and have a go at jumping from the rocks into the water! Have lunch at the canyon and begin the 3hr walk back to Labuanbajo. A day's hike to the Canyon, remembering to take our swimming clothes for the cascades! Breakfast and dinner will be at our hotel, whilst lunch we will take on our day out. available in Labuan Bajo Journey Time: 1hrs 40 mins flight Labuan Bajo - Kuta (Bali) Travel Distance: 493KM In the morning we will take a tour around Labuan Bajo before catching our lunch time flight back to Bali (departing 13:05, arriving 14:25). We'll have the afternoon in Kuta to do some last minute shopping at the markets. Journey Time: 2hrs 20 mins Bali - Darwin 23 Sunday 07 August 2016 Travel Distance: 1781KM Accommodation: Accommodation: Darwin YHA t/darwin-surrounds/darwin-yhabackpackers-hostel/ Breakfast in our hotel and spend a free morning exploring the markets, sending last minute postcards and saying goodbye to Indonesia. In the afternoon we will be taken to the airport, where we will lunch, for our onwards flight to Darwin (3hrs). Depart 14:50, arrive 18:55. In Darwin you will stay at the YHA. Your coach will wait for you to get settled in as you will be going out for dinner for fish and chips (its an Australian dish too!) on the pier. available at the airport Journey Time: 116KM Breakfast will be in our hotel, lunch at the airport & a fish & chip dinner in Darwin on the pier. 6 Travel Distance: 2hrs 24 Monday 08 August 2016 Accommodation: camp Breakfast early at our hotel before being picked up for our journey to Litchfield. Our team challenges today are to walk two trails, both lead to stunning waterfalls (1st trail 1.1km, 2nd trail 1.6km). We can swim in the pools below the falls, cooling off in the clear and cool waters. Overnight in Litchfield National Park camp. Journey Time: 2hrs 20 mins Litchfield NP - Kakadu 25 Tuesday 09 August 2016 Travel Distance: 198KM Accommodation: camp Today is a chance to experience the local indigenous culture by visiting the Pudukal cultural experience in the morning - we may even get the chance to throw a spear! After lunch we will head further into Kakadu national park to explore this stunning landscape. Tonight at camp we will have a choice - sleep in a tent or embrace the real Australia and sleep in a swag bag! Activities, including external providers Breakfast & dinner will be at our camp, (packed lunch & BBQ or dinner cooked over the fire), but we will be having have lunch at the school. Journey Time: TBC - up to 4hrs Kakadu 26 Wednesday 10 August 2016 Travel Distance: TBC - up to 200KM Accommodation: Jabiru camp Its time for our last project as we will visit a school in Arnhem Land, here we will have an opportunity to share experiences and knolwedge of our different cultutes with students of a similar age. Think about the sort of things you may like to share from your own life. Dinner and overnight in Jabiru camp. On the way back to camp we'll get a chance to see some wonderful examples of traditional Rock Art. Journey Time: 2hrs Kakadu - Darwin 27 Thursday 11 August 2016 Travel Distance: 151KM Crocodile day! As we travel back to Darwin we will first do a river boat trip where we will see the amazing jumping crocodiles in their own habitat! When we arrive in Darwin we will be taken to Crocosaurus cove to feed and swim next to (through glass!) baby crocodiles. For our last night, we will be staying in Darwin at the Vibe Hotel. Take some time in the afternoon to freshen up in preperation of our final celebratory meal together in the conference room. This is a great opportunity to review all we have achieved over the last month on our increadible journey.
