16 Additional comments/suggestions regarding a potential shuttle service to the Dover train station. (Optional) I personally don't have a commute that would warrant this service (work from home), but I think it's a wonderful idea and would be great to cut down traffic on route 15 as well as save fuel A post rush hour bus would be very helpful also. While a shuttle service to Dover would seem like a good idea, I don't believe it will be viable. The train from Dover to NY or Newark is already a very long ride in terms of time and a shuttle would only add to the delay. By driving, which I know is not the cheapest or best option for the environment; I cut the commute time in half versus driving to Dover and taking the train. I don't work in the city but go often. Usually I take the train from Denville or park at Lakeland bus in Dover & take the bus b because I've not figured out the parking for train- Good Luck Dean! Would prefer to have Wi-Fi aboard shuttle. Please let's do it! I am a Realtor and know that our potential buyers would be very happy to have a shuttle!!! This could help ease the congestion on Rte. 15 and Rte. 80 I don't commute to work, but I would use the shuttle service on the weekend. I know that this is primarily for commuters, but as an occasional train rider, having alternate means of getting to Dover and not having to worry about parking would be terrific Would be a great asset for families who have people in the city or Philadelphia. I have an older mother in Palisades Park who can get to NYC but then is a nightmare trying to get service to Lafayette. Just recently moved here and another daughter in Philadelphia/ transportation here is a true issue. In the am need to leave by 6 due to all the NYC commuters. DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Offer 1 late night pickup for those who work late. And limited weekend service. Did you know that a train station is being planned in Andover? This could help reduce congestion on Rt. 15 as Sparta residents opt to commute from a station closer to home If shuttle made stops along the way - I would be interested in Sparta to truck gate entrance at Picatinny arsenal Better train service from Dover to NYC. nothing Very much needed. As non-resident, remote parking at Dover makes using train unattractive particularly in bad weather. Become more attractive to continue to drive onto locations in Newark or elsewhere in NJ, or to Manhattan. Shuttle Service is a nice to have - but why not bring the train service to Sparta? I understand you are looking for an immediate fix - but long-term, rail service would be very beneficial. Your survey did not allow me to choose "other" for a pick up point. I would prefer downtown Newton. Other than that, I think this is a great idea. Good luck! The train service schedule is more expensive and a longer ride than bus schedule. I would consider shuttle service to the PATH train if offered. While it might not be beneficial for me, others commuting farther away might find the shuttle van helpful. Any reduction in traffic on Rte. 15 would benefit all of us in the morning. I hope we get a lot of responses! Would use for leisure purposes to get train to NYC 16

17 I currently drive to the Mt. Arlington train station, where parking is free. My interest in a shuttle to the Dover train station is that Dover has more frequent train service. But it has to be cost effective. I currently spend $25 per week in gas traveling to Mt. Arlington, which is $5/day round trip. If the price of the weekly Shuttle is equivalent to my gas expenditure for the week, $25, I would rather utilize the Dover train station and its frequent service. Mt. Arlington has limited service in the morning and night. Leaving my car at town hall would work best... This is a very needed service. I expect to start this commute min march. When do you think this might go into effect? I believe this would be great for a lot of people who commute to NYC to work because it would cut out the cost of parking in Dover to get the train also. When I was trying driving to Dover Train station, it was horrible commuting to station due to the congestion and then having to pay for parking. Not being able to take the train limits my job options. Better to go sideways in NJ then up and down Rte. 15, Rte. 80 and Rte Your survey does not say if it is $5/day for a one way trip or $5/week, month etc. I presently spend approx. $30 a week for gas and do not pay for parking, but if I did I would add on another $15/week. If it is $5/day one way that would cost me $50/a week so it would be cheaper for me to drive and have the convenience of my own car. I would definitely consider using if I knew I could save money. This is a great idea! I hope that it happens soon!! Other hours than morning and evening commute this would be great for college students going to Montclair and FDU I would primarily use a shuttle to the train station for weekend trips into the city, There is no "24 hour" parking at Dover train station only a maximum option of "all day" parking which expires at 2am. This makes parking tickets an inescapable frustration. This service is needed very much, too save money, time and the environment. Please add this much needed service!!! This is a great idea and long overdue for those who need to commute to NYC on an infrequent basis and cannot park at the Dover train station! We might use it occasionally. 17
