He was born in Kershaw, Laurens County, South Carolina on August 30, He married Narcissa Coker on March 8, 1848 in St. Clair County, Alabama. Narcissa was born in Alabama in Narcissa died in the early 1860s and Joel then married Malinda Ann Sanson in St. Clair County on March 6, Malinda was born in Georgia on November 15, Joel died in St. Clair County on April 26, 1891 and Malinda died on February 27, 1913 in Caddo County, Oklahoma while visiting her son Claude. Her body was returned to St. Clair County for burial. The child with Minnie was: Ozella Putman born in DUDLEY CICERO PUTMAN born in June In 1900, he is in Hill County Texas living with a Charles Ryan. He is also listed then in Jefferson County Alabama. He was studying to be a dentist there. It would appear he married a Connors girl, had a son and then

The son, Cicero Junior, is living with his grand parents in Hill County in 1910, 1920 and Cicero Senior is in Muskogee County Oklahoma in 1920 with a wife Nora born in Tennessee in 1872 and no children. He was a dentist. The only child I am aware of was: Cicero Putman, Jr. born in Hill County Texas in His mom was a Connors woman who seems to have died. His dad seems to have left him and went to Oklahoma with a second wife. CLAUDE E. PUTMAN born in Alabama May 2, He married Ida May Huffstutler in Alabama October 8, He is married and in Caddo County Oklahoma in His wife Ida Mae Huffstutler and his mother, Malinda Sansom Putman are there with him. Malinda died February 27, Claude and Ida Mae are there in 1920 and divorced by He was a doctor ad a surgeon. Claude died in Norman, Oklahoma February 27, Ida was born August 10, 1879 and died December 13, 1961 in Oklahoma City.
