Brown President, Kevin Millar, sent best wishes to John Brown, a long term member of RHVA, as he undergoes medical treatment. Report on Meeting with SCC Staff and Councillors 22nd Feb 2018 Kevin Millar - President - Infrastructure and Funding * Stormwater drainage - Holiday Haven - The Master Plan for Boat Harbour is being modified. Waiting for 2nd coastal engineer's report. Proposed that stormwater from hard surfaces at Holiday Haven Tourist Park, Bendalong be directed in an easterly direction, towards the rocky ledge, rather than directly on to Boat Harbour Beach via stormwater pipes. * Crown Lands Funding - Proposal to Shoalhaven City Council staff that profits over 3-5 yrs from Crown Lands ( Holiday Haven Tourist Parks at Bendalong and Lake Conjola ) be directed towards improving local infrastructure. Currently being directed to other Crown Lands in the Shoalhaven * Mick Cvetkovic - Pathways - Major plan - to link the 5 villages with pathways: Active Transport concept - leave the car at home. Last 350 m of Inyadda Beach to Bendalong pathway will be completed by local contractors with SCC funding. Mick will assist with supervision of the works. Excellent use made by the community of Inyadda-Bendalong concrete pathway. Suggestion made re: boardwalks rather than concrete. Four times as expensive. Different pathway surfaces will be considered e.g. Green Island viewing path, Cunjurong Successful grant funding of $50,000 from the Hon Shelley Hancock and State Gov't. Big thank you extended to Mick and his crew of volunteers * Lexie Meyer - 5 Villages Master Plan

3 RHVA needs to acquire funding for a Master Plan for the 5 Villages in order to secure further grant funding for local projects. Shoalhaven City Council will try to assist with sourcing funding - suggested use of same consultant who did Berry and Shoalhaven Heads Master Plans. Cost = $100,000. Broad consultation with the whole community will be undertaken. Vision - what do we want to see this area look like for our children, grandchildren and beyond? Additional information from Clr White $4b funding announcement by NSW Government now available for regional projects. Biodiversity Act now has new rules and local bushland could be preserved via bio credits scheme. $200,000 possibly available for the Berringer Lake Master Plan. Tourism NSW has $1.3b available for regional tourism pilot programs - RHVA could apply. 2. Report on questions to council re current residential development DA's - Marg Rasmussen Manyana Beach Estate - A State approved subdivision determined in 2008 (MP 05_ NSW Dept Planning and Environment ) Developer - OzyHomes Construction certificates - original conditions of construction - each stage to be completed and past before next stage is begun. Can't clear the whole site as community has seen at 'Coast'. Developer has to supply a construction management plan to Dept Planning and this is used by SCC in the approval process An amended plan could be submitted to NSW Planning but residents and even council may not be informed of amendments. Environmental Plan - completed years ago. Concern for recently arrived threatened species of flora and fauna. At this stage none of the assessment need to be redone. Nesting boxes to be installed to compensate for any loss of trees with hollows. Nesting boxes need to be monitored, firstly by the developer then will be revert to council's responsibility. Reclaimed water proposal in DA - was a proposal via Kylor/Vacenta and Malbec but unviable now. Insufficient reclaimed water outside holiday times. Voluntary Planning agreement - $120,280 - to go to the local community. Council will investigate if this is still current in the DA. May lapse if there are changes to the DA Q - Have the following been done? - Environmental management plan, detailed landscape plan, liaison with Jerrinja Local Aboriginal Land Council - A. council is still assessing these Infringements by developers- report to Dept Planning and Environment ( Wollongong - Compliance team ) or SCC - Sub division Development co-ordinator Commercial site - cnr Inyadda Drive and Curvers Drive developer has an option only. DA is still current Questions raised about the removal of asbestos and fuel tanks - done appropriately? Warwick Papworth, SCC is investigating

4 Plan for the building - can be redesigned if the developer is not happy with the current design. RHVA would like to have consultation with the developer. Kylor has been sold. Council will encourage the developer to consider a new plan for the site with local consultation 3. Report on Clean Up Australia Day - Jorj Lowrey, Community Co-ordinator 25 volunteers - SCC to post photos of RHVA's efforts on SCC Facebook page 5. Report on membership payments -Jan Huon, Treasurer poor response. Encourage all to renew their membership - funds support donations to Environment Defender's Office (EDO), refreshments for pathway construction volunteers, hall hire for meetings, printing and stationery, infrastructure projects. 6. Sally Ayto - web page manager -suggestion of a monthly newsletter to give highlights of the meeting minutes and to be published on the RHVA website plus ed to members. Member suggestion - copy to be displayed at local cafes and general store. Suggestion accepted. GENERAL BUSINESS 7. Margaret Richardson/ Sue Westaway - Report on Eco Village meeting Meeting held March 2-6 attendees with 5 apologies. Alex Lees - task - 'what is the eco village about '? Sue Westaway and Mags Richardson - to visit an eco village - will develop a mission statement. Expressions of interest invited. Clr Gartner gave an example of an eco village in Newstead, Victoria with solar gardens and sustainable building code. 8. Defibrillator - Jenny Cleary - will attend Milton Ulladulla Rotary - re possible funding 9. Manyana Matters Facebook page - Jorj Lowrey, joint administrator. Administrators are endeavouring to be impartial but give the community factual information re: local residential developments. Fifteen residents interviewed last week by Milton Ulladulla Times journalist.

5 10.Simon Barton, member of RHVA, presented a Motion in regard to a presentation made by the proponent of the Eco Tourism Facility DA17/1264, 77C Nerringillah Rd, Bendalong at a general council meeting Jan 30, 2018 The Motion That a letter of clarification from the RHVA be sent to the Mayor, all councillors and the General Manager indicating the RHVA's position of objecting to the Eco lodge development as per its two written submissions Simon Barton, Kevin Millar, Robyn Ralph, Clr White, Lexie Meyer and Peter Hudson addressed the meeting in regard to the motion The motion was carried 11. Clr White - Roadworks - Bendalong Rd. Major problem with traffic lights last week. Lolly pop men put in place to direct traffic. Police, ambulance and council involved with the issue. Any further issues, contact Clr Patricia White or Clr Kaye Gartner addresses on council's webpage Mags ( Margaret ) Richardson - has set up a Facebook page entitled 'Save Manyana'. Has sent a signed petition to councillors, media, parliamentarians and government departments concerning the threat posed to local flora and fauna by large scale residential development in the local area.
