9 HCS Management - Constitution The Society shall be managed by the Executive Committee consisting of: The Chairman Vice-Chairman Treasurer Secretary Four members who shall be nominated and elected by simple majority at the Annual General Meeting of the Society to serve for 12 months. Other members may be co-opted for their specialised knowledge by the Executive Committee.

20 Update on Havant Draft Local Plan 2036 Havant Borough Residents Alliance, representing 14 local organisations including Havant Civic Society, met with Havant BC planning team to discuss concerns regarding the Local Plan Ann Buckley

Neglect. Thousands of new homes but insufficient Affordable Homes. Lack of emphasis on Historic Environment and vision. Insufficient concern for Green and Blue Environment. Out dated Biodiversity Action Plan. Poor Public Engagement. Consultation response document numbers low. Ann Buckley

22 Residents are concerned right across the Borough on housing sites, numbers and Policy. There are two central Havant Issues: A. Keep East Street in the Town Centre. B. Keep the East Pallant Car Park. Ann Buckley

23 What can you do? Contact your ward councillors, County Councillor and Cabinet members. Letters and cards are effective. Look at the information, including draft LP, consultation response on HCS and HBC web sites. Attend the next Civic Society meeting, January 2019 meeting for further update. 40 The HCS Mission Statement Havant Civic Society aims to conserve and cherish Havant s historic buildings and distinctive heritage. We seek to encourage quality design, and to promote and expedite new residential and commercial developments that will enhance the town. We wish Havant to be a thriving borough centre with a sound cultural and economic base a town that residents are proud of and that people want to visit.
