6 MINARET STATION LUXURY TENTED LODGE Enjoying an un-rivalled location surrounded on all sides by New Zealand s best heliskiing terrain, Minaret Station, New Zealand s only luxury tented lodge sits in a glacial valley on the shores of Lake Wanaka. The Estuary Burn valley, classic Lord of the Rings territory, is surrounded by stunning mountain peaks, tussock grass, and hillsides covered in native bush where wild Deer and Chamois clambering on the slopes. Every now and then a cheeky Kea bird appears from nowhere to say hello ; the only other sound is the water in a nearby stream making its way downhill to the lake below. Your accommodation is in one of the four luxurious tented suites. Each tent has a king size bed, wall-to-wall sheepskin carpet and is fully insulated and heated; a full en-suite with heated floor, double vanity, shower and WC, wardrobe with changing area ensure that your comfort is not compromised in any way. Avalanche safety Our comprehensive Snow Safety programme is run by experienced practitioners with years of experience in Heliskiing, Ski areas and roading. Our operation is a member and active contributor to the New Zealand Mountain Safety Councils "Infoex" a networking programme where professional operators exchange information regarding Snow and Avalanche conditions. In the field all our guests are equipped with Avalanche transceivers and receive a comprehensive safety briefing in their use before skiing and riding commences.
