9 Trade & Consumer Market Trends Germany/Austria Online travel bookings are growing swiftly, but travel agents also record solid growth and remain the top sales channel by revenue. Booking the usual components of a vacation online has become increasingly widespread in Germany. TOs are developing new B2B tools in order to give the client flexible booking options. Increased demand for customized and individual consulting, resulting in more and more Germans booking holiday components separately and All inclusive is becoming less popular. 10 Trade & Consumer Market Trends Switzerland Studies have shown a 3% increase of bookings at travel agencies by young and middle-aged people. The percentage of "self-organizers" dropped to 7% in 2017 from 13% in The latest trend is to enjoy the warm summers at home and move foreign travel, long-haul in particular, into Fall. U.S becoming a viable alternative to typical beach vacation destinations. Increasingly open to new less known regions, states, parks.
