This remote and ravishing slice of wilderness, sprinkled with small villages and few people, beckons nature lovers and soft adventurers who wish to get off the well-trod tourist path. It also has an alluring history as Nuxalk artifacts date back 10,000 years and its pioneer tales are romantic ones of early day explorers. Nurtured by nature, the verdant Valley boasts a temperate climate as it is protected by the rugged peaks of the Coast Mountains, dotted with crystalline rivers and it neighbours the pristine Chilcotin Plateau. Because it is some 100 km (60 mi) inland nd from the Pacific Ocean, it has less rainfall than coastal regions. Journeying to Bella Coola which is the name of a town as well as the Valley l is part of the adventure. The 80 km (50 mi) Valley that stretches es from North Bentinck Arm, a tranquil inlet that eventually meets the Pacific Ocean, to the base of The Hill on Highway 20, can be reached by road from Williams Lake, by regular and chartered air service, by private boat and by BC Ferries service. By car, arrive on Highway 20; road travellers will have tales to tell of the last leg of their journey coming down The Hill. Arriving via seasonal ferry service or by private boat, you will have viewed the stunning Central Coast where the Pacific meets a rugged, wilderness shoreline. 7 The Greater Gibsons Community, Sunshine Coast Several key community organizations combined their resources to produce a unified community brand directed at visitors, investors and residents. We produced a complete collection of materials including a logo, directional banners, map signage, kit folder, brochures, fulfillment package and website. Logo Kit Folder Economic Development and Tourism brochures

Gibsons Community website Designed to serve a variety of needs for the Gibsons community, this comprehensive website covers most areas of interest for visitors or business investors alike while maintaining a strong visual link to the new brand. The textual information is complemented by photos, slide shows, detailed maps, descriptions of major attractions, event listings and 360 virtual tours. 9 The Greater Gibsons Community The map sign and banner are both large-format environmental graphics; the map is 20 square feet and the banner is 8 x 40 feet. Map Sign Outdoor Banner

District of Sechelt Based on the Sunshine Coast the District of Sechelt embarked on a new marketing campaign that requires establishing some elements of a visual identity. Below are the first stages of this project which will expand into a full visual program over the next year or two. Direct Mail Envelope Economic Development Brochure Economic Development Letterhead Economic Development Kit Folder

Central Cariboo Tourism The City of Williams Lake commissioned a complete tourism marketing strategy for the Central Cariboo region incorporating a branding package. The region offers a wealth of recreational activities so we produced a unique multi-version logo that could be adapted to represent the many recreational sectors. The main Central Cariboo text and lasso are constants, however, when appropriate, the galloping horse may be interchanged with other graphics (ie fishing or snowmobiling). Main Logo Magazine Ad Website Framework Design

District of Mission The District of Mission s economic development office commissioned a complete economic development and tourism marketing strategy for the area incorporating a branding package. The district is distinct in its location and history of missionary activity which were the elements emphasized in their new logo. A full suite of support materials was also produced. Logo Variations Kit Folder Community Profile Tourism Advertising

Campbell River Each year the major regions of British Columbia publish visitor guides to attract travellers to their area. Design and production of the 2001 Campbell River guide was completed. Support promotional materials were also designed to tie in with the main visual theme set by the guide. Campbell River Tourist Guide Cover Trade Show Booth Signage Campbell River Guide Magazine Ad

Oceanside Route Eastern Vancouver Island now has a multi-lane super highway that bypasses several beautiful coastal communities. The previous shoreline-hugging road has been branded the Oceanside Route. This campaign is intended to attract visitors to leave the super highway and explore the variety on the scenic route. 15 Vancouver Island Tourism Marketing Alliance (VITMA) The Island s community destination marketing organizations requested the development of a brochure to showcase the 8 destination areas that make up Vancouver Island. It was decided to give equal emphasis to all regions while clearly showing where they are located. Above & Beyond Brochure Cover Above & Beyond Regions Map Multi-panel Spread

Vancouver Coast and Mountains (VCM) Tourism VCM commissioned us to produce a 24-page booklet promoting the Sunshine Coast, a part of their overall region. This external marketing lure piece represents the partnership between VCM Tourism and the Sunshine Coast Tourism Partnership, which includes Tourism Powell River. The Experience Guide is styled as a series of editorial and pictorial insights into the attractions and secrets of the Sunshine Coast. The guide is designed to allow for folding to a rackable 4x9-inch format. Sunshine Coast Experience Guide Cover and Inside Spread

Geographical Information System (GIS) Mapping Projects We developed a recreation map concept that has been adopted by the upper and lower Sunshine Coast communities creating an opportunity for a regional partnership. The Sunshine Coast Tourism Partnership initiated the project as a joint venture with our team. Tourism Powell River and the Vancouver Coast and Mountains Tourism region have also commissioned similar maps. The Sunshine Coast region now works with one master geographical information system (GIS), which provides a base for the creation of maps for various purposes. The recreation map concept has also been produced for Tourism Comox Valley. Regional Recreation GIS Maps

Sunshine Coast Community Futures Development Corporation Community Futures is charged with the task of developing business opportunities for the Sunshine Coast economy. We designed its logo to reflect this responsibility. We have also produced various community information pieces for the CFDC.
