The Summit is the culmination of a year of hard work during our G20 presidency. Hosting more than 60 meetings in 10 provinces across Argentina has given us the opportunity to share our country s natural beauty, diversity, talent and hospitality with the world. This G20 Summit is the tenth anniversary of the first Leaders Summit, which brought world leaders together during the global financial crisis. Over the years, through regular dialogue and consensus building, leaders of major economies - both developed and developing - have been able to jointly craft global policies to address global challenges. If we are to solve the challenges of today and tomorrow, we need to act with that same sense of urgency that brought us together in As the first South American country to host a G20 Summit, we are proud to have this opportunity to show our commitment to international cooperation, multilateralism and global governance. 5 1. OVERVIEW Only accredited members of the press in possession of their credential will be granted access to the Leaders Summit in Buenos Aires. Credentials can be collected from the Press Accreditation Centre at San Martín Palace from 26 to 30 November. Specifically, the credential permits access on official shuttle services only to the International Media Centre (IMC) located at Parque Norte, from where accredited journalists will also be able to access, on official shuttle services only, the Press Briefing Centre (PBC) at the Leaders Summit venue in Costa Salguero for scheduled press conferences and interviews. Media pools will be established for limited numbers of accredited photographers and/or camerapersons to take part in specific photo opportunities over the course of the Summit, at a number of different locations, for which pool cards will be required. The IMC at Parque Norte will be fully equipped with workstations for media representatives, indoor and outdoor stand-up broadcast positions, TV and radio broadcast offices, delegation press offices, and dining and recreation areas, among other facilities. The centre will be open continuously from Thursday 29 November at 8.00 am to Saturday 1 December at pm. 5

6 2. VISA & CUSTOMS REQUIREMENTS 2.1. VISA For all non-argentine members of the press travelling to Argentina from abroad, successful accreditation to the G20 Leaders Summit is a mandatory requirement to enter into Argentina. Media representatives will not require a work visa but may require a tourist visa. They are requested to review the visa requirement details listed on the G20 website accreditation page: Non-Argentine media representatives who are not required a visa to enter into Argentina must travel with a copy of the message they will receive after their accreditation is confirmed. This will help ease immigration procedures while travelling to Argentina CUSTOMS In accordance with Argentine customs requirements, media representatives bringing cameras and other equipment into Argentina must declare them on this form upon arriving in and before leaving the country. To facilitate this procedure, we suggest that media representatives fill the personal information fields (name and surname, passport or ID number, nationality, address and means of transport) and the description of their equipment beforehand. If the space for describing equipment is not enough, please use a separate sheet. The rest of the form will be completed by customs officers. The form can be filled online and then printed. Please refer to g20mediaaccreditation@presidencia.gob.ar for any enquiries related to accreditation. Ezeiza Aeroparque Buquebus/Colonia Express Media representatives entering Argentina through Ezeiza International Airport (EZE) must present their forms at Scanner 2 in the customs area. When leaving the country, they must submit their forms at the AFIP (tax agency) stand in the departure area. Media representatives entering and leaving Argentina through Aeroparque Metropolitano Jorge Newbery (AEP) must present their forms at Scanner 1. Media representatives entering and leaving Argentina on ferries operated by Buquebus and Colonia Express must present their forms at Scanner 1 in their arrival terminal. 6

CREDENTIAL COLLECTION Press credentials must be collected from the G20 Summit Accreditation Centre at San Martín Palace (see location) in Buenos Aires from 26 to 30 November upon presentation of a valid photo ID (passport or national identity card). 8 4. TRANSPORT 4.1. AIRPORTS Media representatives are responsible for arranging transport to and from Ezeiza Airport (EZE) and Jorge Newbery Airport, known locally as Aeroparque (AEP) SHUTTLE SERVICES Regular shuttle services will run 24 hours between three pick up points in the city and the International Media Centre (IMC) from Thursday 29 November to Saturday 1 December. Pick up points: Belgrano - Av. Federico Lacroze 2360 see location Plaza Italia - Av. Sarmiento 2671 see location City Centre (Luna Park) - Lavalle 16 see location Media representatives will only be able to access the IMC on the shuttle services provided from the three pick up points in the city, unless they are in a registered broadcast vehicles. All media representatives must be in possession of their credential in order to board the shuttle services. Access to the IMC on private vehicles or on foot will not permitted. Timetables will be communicated in due course. Regular shuttle services will also run between the IMC in Parque Norte and the PBC at Costa Salguero. Media representatives will only be able to access the PBC from the IMC on the shuttle services provided. Access to the PBC on private vehicles or on foot will not be permitted. 8

MEDIA ACCESS The press credential permits access to the following areas and activities: Venues International Media Centre (IMC) at Parque Norte Press Briefing Centre (PBC) at the Leaders Summit venue (Costa Salguero), for scheduled press conferences, photo opportunities and interviews PLEASE NOTE: Media representatives are only allowed access to the PBC on the shuttle services from the IMC, and must be accompanied at all times by a G20 media liaison officer (MLO). 10 5.1. INTERNATIONAL MEDIA CENTRE (IMC) Accredited members of the media and delegates will have full access to the IMC at Parque Norte, which is located a 7-10 minute drive away from Costa Salguero. No broadcast vehicles will be allowed into Costa Salguero. Transport to and from the IMC and the PBC at Costa Salguero will be provided at frequent intervals. A transport desk for booking transfers to the pick up points will be available at the IMC. For transfers to the PBC for scheduled interviews or press conferences, journalists must arrange with delegations media liaison officers. 10

11 5.2. PRESS BRIEFING CENTRE (PBC) The PBC at Costa Salguero will contain a press waiting area with an information desk, 5 press conference and 7 press interview rooms. Media representatives are only permitted access to the PBC from the IMC for scheduled press conferences, briefings, interviews or to wait for scheduled photo opportunities, and must be accompanied at all times by a G20 media liaison officer. Media representatives cannot book press interview rooms. Press interview rooms can only be booked by the delegations. Media representatives are not permitted access in any other area of Costa Salguero, unless for scheduled photo opportunities for which pool cards are required, and for which they must be accompanied by a G20 media liaison officer at all times. 11

12 6. MEDIA COVERAGE 6.1. G20 OFFICIAL COVERAGE Full official coverage of G20 activities can be followed on the official G20 website, the G20 Mobile App and social media channels. Press releases, G20 Summit communiqués and audiovisual content will be available for download on the G20 website: Official photos taken over the course of the G20 Summit will be available for download on the G20 Flickr page: All press conferences will be live streamed on YouTube. Video images will be sent by to all media representatives on the G20 mailing list. Social media Stay up to date with the #G20Argentina on our social networks. #G20Argentina #G2018 G20 Argentina 2018 app The G20 Argentina 2018 mobile app is available for download on Google Play and at the App Store. Accredited media representatives will receive a QR code in the days leading up to the Summit to access information especially prepared for journalists. 12

BROADCASTING INFORMATION The Argentine G20 presidency is responsible for official transmission of G20 activities at the Leaders Summit and will provide live, multi-camera coverage of several activities on the agenda: Leaders arrivals to Ezeiza Airport (EZE) and Jorge Newbery Airport (AEP) Costa Salguero: leaders arrivals and official greeting by President Macri; family photo; opening plenary session; all press conferences Recreational activity at the Colón Theatre: leaders arrivals; family photo with partners; live performance Other activities that will be covered include the official dinner at Colón Theatre and Partners Programme selected activities at MALBA and Villa Ocampo All material will be available via satellite free of charge and without copyright charges, including for online use and archiving purposes. 14 Media organizations are permitted to bring in 4G wireless mobile broadcasting backpacks to the IMC and the PBC. BGAN Terminals will not be allowed. Transmission outside Argentina is not permitted. Once in the IMC, broadcast vehicles should remain inside the premises. If they leave, they will not be allowed back onto IMC premises TV & RADIO BROADCAST OFFICES The IMC will have a number TV and radio broadcast offices available for media to reserve from Thursday 29 November to Saturday 1 December. The offices (3 x 3 m) will contain WiFi, LAN connection, HD SDI video connection, two XLR 3 audio connectors for Spanish and English, 1 table, 4 chairs and 32 inch displays. More information and requests for offices should be sent to Pablo Di Nanno: pablo.dinanno@presidencia.gob.ar Offices will be allocated as of Monday 5 November. The size of the media organization and the timely nature of their request will be taken into account when allocating offices HOST BROADCASTER Mediapro Argentina / Overon is the host broadcaster for the 2018 G20 Leaders Summit and is able to offer a number of services, including the renting of stand up positions and broadcast vehicles and satellite signal. Due to security and special restrictions, media wishing to transmit interviews taking place at the PBC live via satellite must also do so through the services of the host broadcaster. A comprehensive list of services and rates is issued in a separate document to all accredited media. 14

Press conferences will be open to all accredited media and delegates on a first come, firstserved basis, except where a delegation has booked a media conference facility and attendance is by invitation only. All press conferences taking place at the PBC will be covered by the G20 presidency. The G20 presidency will provide simultaneous interpretation services between English and Spanish. Please note that media representatives cannot book press interview rooms. Press interview rooms must be booked by delegations only. 15

16 POOL CARDS Given strong media interest and space restrictions, access to all scheduled photo opportunities will be limited to pre-selected media pools. Pool cards for different photo opportunities will be allocated to delegations to distribute to media representatives at their own discretion. Pool cards are specific to one activity only and media representatives must be in possession of their pool card at all times during the photo opportunity. Information on the exact timings of the photo opportunities will be communicated in due course. SECURITY The Ministry of Security of the Argentine Republic is responsible for all security at all official Summit venues, border entry points, airports and routes used for official transportation. Access to all official venues will involve several security screening procedures. Security zones will be established in the areas adjacent to official venues. 9. HEALTH SERVICES Health services will be provided at all G20 venues and events on a walk-in basis and at no cost. The public health emergency service of the city of Buenos Aires (SAME) can be called in an emergency by dialling 107 from any local telephone or cell phone. Between 30 November and 1 December, the phone number 136 (ext. 0) will be available for medical emergencies with assistance in English. There are no major health threats in the city of Buenos Aires and there are no mandatory vaccines for travel to Argentina.
