11 Additional Networking Opportunities with Airlines A few airlines have agreed to have informal meetings throughout the conference. Airports will also have the opportunity to have informal discussions with the airline representatives at social events. The web link to access the airline contact information (names and addresses) was sent out with the preliminary schedule (May 2 and May 1) and final schedule (May 30) 11

12 Using the JumpStart Software On January 29 the 2013 JumpStart Meeting-Matching Website launched preloaded with last year's participating airports and airlines. April 12 JumpStart Wish List deadline, 13 airports signed up on the JumpStart Website. The last airports signed up on May 7. A total of 8 airports cancelled this year. Three due to a low number of meetings: AUA, YYC and TOL Two due to signing up late and receiving a low number of meetings: YVR and ASE Three due to prior commitments preventing them from attending: SBA, PPE and YYG 12

14 How are meetings scheduled? Airports and Airlines pick and order their wish lists the order of the wish list is important in determining which meetings are scheduled Once the wish lists are submitted the software automatically confirms and schedules meetings, in this order: Priority 1: Airport is on Airline list and vice-versa The preference on each others list determines preference, if both have each other as number 1 on their lists this has the highest preference 1, down to the lowest preference Priority 2: Airline puts Airport on list Once priority 1 meetings are confirmed. Airline that has an airport high on it s wish list will have preference. Priority 3: Airport puts Airline on list After priority 2 meetings are confirmed. Airport that has an airline high on it s wish list will have preference. A document explaining this in more detail has been included in all JumpStart s and is available at 14

15 Consultants 41% of the airports attending this year are represented by consultants As they often represent more than one airport we have to ensure there are no conflicts in their schedules This is done by creating a matrix for each consulting company and moving meetings accordingly If there is a meeting conflict with your consultant, your meeting will be moved not cancelled Each year this takes approximately 40 hours (over days!) 1

16 Tips for Using the JumpStart Meeting Scheduling Website Check ACI-NA website early for announcements about JumpStart. Create or update your account early. No airline representatives can see your airport in the system until after you create your account. If they do not see you, you will not be included in the airline wish list. You can create your account before paying for the conference. Check the website on a regular basis to see the latest confirmed airline list. Revise your wish list before the deadline to give priority to confirmed airlines. After viewing the preliminary meeting schedule, contact JumpStart team immediately for any adjustment. Do not wait until the last minute. The website allows you to view your meeting schedule in a printable version in real time. All this information is available on the JumpStart website 1

17 Preparing for Next Year This year s primary contact will receive s about next year s conference if you will not be attending please pass on to the relevant person or ask us to change the primary contact Do not opt out of ACI-NA s if you receive too many s you can request to be removed from certain committees Jumpstart has a two step registration process: 1. Register with JumpStart Meet&Match to submit your wish list (before April 12). Previous attendees will have their previous profile information already loaded, new airports will have to create a new profile. 2. Register for the conference, to proceed with payment. Please register before May 17 to ensure your meetings with airlines! EarlyBirds get discounts! Please note that the log in details to register for the conference (payment) are different to the JumpStart Meet&Match log in details. We cross check who is in the JumpStart Meet&Match system and who has registered for the conference (paid) 17
