6 DESIGN & ENGINEERING SERVICES DESIGN & ENGINEERING Design and Engineering The SA Grop develops and designs complex strctral and electrical complete trn-key avionic modifications for basically any application and is involved in complete aircraft nose to tail engineering programs. Providing all interfaces and interconnections for complete aircraft development programs, e.g.: 5-tbe EFIS pgrade inclding engine interface for Part-25 aircraft, special mission pgrades with special designed interface concepts, camera montings, SLAR & FLIR installations, interface soltions, IFE concepts and designs. 7 CERTIFICATION SERVICES CERTIFICATION EASA Part-21J Design Organization Throgh the EASA Part-21J approved design organization, Scandinavian Avionics Design, The SA Grop offers development of spplemental type certificates (STC) and minor changes to existing aircraft type certificates, covering any avionics or electrical modification of any aircraft or helicopter application. Over the years, The SA Grop has developed more than 700 STCs and certification packages for a wide range of avionics system modifications in a wide range of aircraft types. The SA Grop also provides certification packages complying with a wide range of other military and civil reglations and reqirements, cstomized to the specific rles and reglations in any specific area. STC Development Spplemental Type Certificates are developed for any type of avionics system pgrade as part of a complete trn-key soltion, inclding parts spply, installation and training or as a single project for other qalified modification centers with relevant installation capability and approvals. 10 PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT Cstomized avionics and electronic prodcts In order to ease the operation of certain applications for the operator and to simplify certification aspects, particlarly for the aviation indstry with very stringent certification reqirements, SA Innovation ApS, member of The SA Grop provides in-hose development of intelligent and cost-effective cstomized avionics and aircraft electronics devices and concepts. The cstomized prodcts are designed to meet a certain demand or niche within the field of electronics, primarily aimed at the aviation indstry. However, The SA Grop also offers development programs for land mobile and maritime applications. 12 PRODUCTION SERVICES PRODUCTION Scandinavian Avionics holds the EASA Part 21G Prodction Organization Approval. This approval enables Scandinavian Avionics and The SA Grop to provide a wider range of avionics services to even more cstomers in the aviation indstry as well as enhance the capability towards the existing cstomer base. Two Approvals in perfect symmetry We are, with the EASA Part 21G Prodction approval, able to prodce complete kits and parts, according to approved data, related to electronic, electrical and instrment installations, inclding related mechanical parts. Examples of some of these processes, is when we apply or Laser Wire Marking System to prodce cstomized cables, wire looms and harnesses in accordance to the legal reqirements. Another example is the prodction of or Tablet Holder, which is installed in the cockpit for qick and easy pilot handling of tablets tilized as EFB s in cockpits. We can via or own Part 21J Design Organization approval provide approved data for the prodction, or we can prodce according to 3 th party data, depending on the exact reqirement. In other words as we hold both the EASA Part 21J Design and the 21G Prodction approval we can provide or cstomers with complete prodction capability from the design phase all the way throgh to serial prodction of electrical and mechanical parts and kits according to cstomer reqirements.
