3 Summary The City of Santa Monica policy on our Municipal Airport is contrary to the concerns and priorities of it s own citizens and against regional and national community transportation policy. Santa Monica Airport Association - Board of Directors November 28th, 2016 All the items in this presentation are backed by verifiable facts from reputable sources. See sources in Appendix

8 City of Santa Monica Resident Concerns Santa Monica residents consistently rate homeless persons, traffic, congestion and over-development as at least 80% of their concerns. Airport rates an average of 4% of resident concerns. Yet, City council makes closing SMO a top 5 city priority Why?

Santa Monica accounts for at least 45% of complaints to FAA by airports users nationwide, out of 5,100+ public use airports nationwide x FAA Part 16 complaints in 2016, plus one Federal case being heard in City airport legal policy fundamentally flawed and against the local, regional and national public interest.
