1 Executive Summary of 10-Year Revenue and Handle Trends This report compares monthly Nevada gaming results for June over the past ten years for selected reporting areas: Statewide, Las Vegas Strip, Downtown Las Vegas, Boulder Strip, and Washoe County. June 2017 was a mostly flat month for Nevada gaming, with small variations in most reporting areas. Statewide, overall revenues rose by 0.90%. Slot win was flat, with a decrease in hold mostly canceling out an increase in handle. Game revenues were also flat, with the same pattern: lower hold mostly canceled out higher handle. More money was wagered, but casinos only won slightly more than they did last year. On the Las Vegas Strip, total gaming win was up 1.65%. Slot win increased by 4.99%, with the increase in hold outpacing the increase in handle. Game win rose by 2.55%. The unusually high baccarat hold of June 2016 regressed to the mean (10.48%, well within the typical range if a bit low), leading to a 15.58% decrease in baccarat win despite a higher handle. Downtown Las Vegas saw overall win grow by 8.72%. Slot win fell by 622% despite slightly more play, thanks to a lower hold percentage. Game win, however, increased by 55.34%, mostly because of higher handle (+36.53%) and hold (+13.78%). The Boulder Strip, a guide star for local Las Vegas play, was down, with total win dropping by 15.14%. The chief culprit was a drop in slot win (-15.94) that happened because of a lower hold percentage, as handle increased. Game win decreased by 7.85%. Washoe County saw a 1.73% overall gain in win thanks to higher slot win, slot hold, and slot handle. Game win fell by 14.74%, with a lower hold and a lower handle the culprits. Casinos kept a smaller percentage of less play in June 2017/ Tables for Statewide, Las Vegas Strip, Downtown Las Vegas, Boulder Strip, and Washoe County follow.
