It is the home to more than 3,000 birds of approximately 200 species of local and foreign birds. Sprawling approximately 20.9 acres of verdant valley terrain, the park is divided into 4 zones; Zone 1 and 2 make up the free-flight zone; Zone 3 is the Hornbill Park and Zone 4 is where the birds are placed in separate cages and mini aviaries. One of KL Bird Park's most extraordinary feature is that in Zone 1, 2 and 3, birds are let free in the aviary which closely resembles their natural habitat. With this free-flight concept, birds are able to breed naturally in this unique environment. It is the second largest Zoo in the country encompassing 54-acres with more than 1,200 animals of over 200 different species. The Zoo was established in Since 1979, the Department of Wildlife and National Parks, Peninsular Malaysia took over the management of the Zoo to enhance its operations and upgrade its services for public's benefit. Zoo Melaka also functions as a center for wildlife research, conservation breeding, zoo education center and a popular tourist destination. 3 DAY 2 KUALA LUMPUR MALACCA (155 Km) SINGAPORE (206 Km) Lunch at local restaurant (Beverages during lunch not included) After lunch, a historical city tour of Malacca visiting the various heritage sites such as St Paul s Hill, Porta De Santiago, Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, Stadhuys Red Square and Jonkers Street (also known as Antique Street) Then we begin the home stretch of your journey to Singapore using the north-south highway to Johore Bahru. Here we bid you Semoga Bertemu Lagi or farewell till we meet again. Tour East Singapore reserves the right to change prices any time before the tour is completed if there is an unavoidable increase in cost to Tour East, as a result of increase in fuel prices, taxes or any unforeseen circumstances. In the event that a further payment is required by Tour East Singapore, this will be requested from the passengers in writing. 6 TERMS AND CONDITIONS SINGLE ACCOMMODATION A limited number of single rooms are available at all hotels throughout the itinerary. Tour East Singapore regrets that it is unable to accept booking from individual passengers who desire to travel on twin-sharing basis unless a travelling companion books and is confirmed simultaneously. Should it become necessary, for any reason for passenger occupying twin accommodation to separate and occupy single rooms, it will be necessary for both passengers to pay the differential directly to the hotels. HOTEL If any of the stated hotels are not available, an alternative hotel of similar standard will be arranged. Refunds will be made within 2 weeks of the date of the cancellation was received. If Tour East Singapore cancels the tour as a result of force majeure (eg storms, flood, acts of god, trade dispute, hostilities, government acts of regulations, failure of sub-contractors to perform, etc), then Tour East Singapore shall be entitled without liability to cancel the whole or any part of the tour affected. If such circumstances arise before departure, Tour East Singapore shall endeavour to make reasonable alternative arrangements for the tour to continue and if successful, any extra costs are payable by the passengers on demand from Tour East Singapore but not later than the date of departure of the tour. In the unlikely event that the tour is cancelled by Tour East Singapore prior to departure, or monies will be refunded and Tour East Singapore will be under no liability for damage or compensation to any tour members. 7 TOUR MEMBERS Tour East Singapore and its associates reserve the right to decline, accept or retain any passenger as a member of any tour at any time, for any reason whatsoever, if at its sole discretion and at the recommendation of the tour guide, any passenger(s) is(are) unfit or unable to continue or if the enjoyment of any other tour members is impaired, the provisions of the above paragraph will apply SEATING ABOARD THE VEHICLE No seats can be reserved aboard the vehicle, Tour East Singapore adheres to the practice where all passengers changed seats in a regular pattern on boarding the vehicle in the morning and at mid-day LUGGAGE The carriage and tips (porterage) for one piece of luggage is included in the tour price. This is ample as there is no formal dress is required. Passengers may bring an overnight case (for storage under the seat or in the overhead rack) but these must be handled by and in the care of passengers as regular luggage due to the risk of damage. Although the Tour Manager and driver will supervise the transfer of luggage to and from hotel rooms and every effort is made to handle the luggage with care, we recommend that you take up travel insurance policy to protect against any loss or damage HEALTH & IMMIGRATION Passengers should familiarise themselves with health or visa problems that may be applicable in areas which they intent to visit and shall be responsible for all exits, entry, health and other documents required by law Please consult your Travel Agent or the respective embassies. In the event is denied by the Authorities, Tour East Singapore will not be liable for any loss or expense due to the passenger s failure to comply with the above RESPONSIBILITY Tour East Singapore (1996) Pte Ltd, operator of the above program, 15 Cairnhill Road #07-05A, Cairnhill Place, Singapore , acts only as agent of various companies represented in the above tour, and assumes no responsibility for liability in connection with service of any conveyance or hotel used. Neither will they be responsible for any act, error or omission or any injury, loss, accident, delay or irregularity that may arise. In the event it becomes necessary or advisable for the comfort or the well-being of the tour members or for any reason whatsoever, to alter the itinerary or arrangement, such alternation may be made without penalty to the operator. Additional expenses, if any, shall be borned by the tour members, conversely refund will be made to passengers if any saving is effected thereby, Tour East Singapore is not responsible for loss tickets, coupons or adverse weather conditions. Tour East Singapore reserves the right to withdraw or cancel any or all tours should conditions warrant. All matters arising subject to Singapore Law.
