7 Efficient Operations 1. Flight Dispatch Fuel efficiency requires a coordinated effort between Flight Operations, Dispatch and Operations Control. Many opportunities for fuel savings and reduced emissions exist from the start of the planning process through the execution of the flight. With the help of a flight planning management system, Kenya Airways ensures fuel efficiency by; a. Optimizing cost index b. Flight Plan Optimization c. Fuel Bias d. Alternate Selection / No ALTN IFR e. Contingency Fuel reduction from f. Reduction of Pilot / Dispatcher Additional Fuel g. Zero Fuel Weight Accuracy h. C of G Management i. Mission Management j. Excess Taxi Fuel Allowance

Aircraft Servicing the various services performed on the aircraft on the ground (excluding maintenance) such as fueling, cleaning, and loading/unloading. c. Aircraft Commercial (Discretionary) Weight that weight added to required aircraft weight during ground servicing for customer comfort or service, as well as for commercial or competitive purposes. d.
