The spacious rooms are fitted with crisp, white linen sheets. Wallpaper portraying a peaceful view of the ocean adds to the clean and neat atmosphere of the guesthouse. 3 06-Jul Jul-12 Damaraland / Camp Kipwe FB & Act Early departure from Swakopmund via Henties Bay and Uis to Twyfelfontein area. Next day we visit the Twyfelfontein engravings and surrounding attractions, we will enjoy a nature drive in the morning to look for the elusive desert elephants in the Huab river.to the west of Khorixas is Twyfelfontein (meaning doubtful fountain), a massive, open-air art gallery of great interest to international rock art connoiseurs. Regarded as one of the richest collections of rock engravings in Africa, this treasure house of rock engravings left by stone-age artists is the first site in Namibia to be nominated by the Namibian Monuments Council for recognition by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. This will ensure that measures for preservation of the site are taken and maintained. Close by is the Petrified Forest, where a cataclysmic event millions of years ago deposited giant tree trunks which subsequently turned to stone. Today the Namib's living fossil plant, Welwitschia mirabilis, grows among these prostrate fossilised trunks. The Abahuab Camp near Twyfelfontein, managed by local Damaras, is one of several community projects in the area. South of Twyfelfontein is the Burnt Mountain, a panorama of desolation with coloured rocks contrasting vividly against the grey-black surroundings. The Organ Pipes, a mass of basalt slabs in a ravine gouged out by a river, is another geological curiosity in the area. South west of Twyfelfontein is the Doros Crater, where fossil remains have been found among the rocks. 'Kipwe', meaning blessed in Swahili, is built creatively into the large granite boulders of the Twyfelfontein area. The camp is nestled in the boulders, facing out onto superb scenery. Incorporating boulders, small red basalt rocks and mopane branches, it has a natural organic feel. The eight rooms are round in shape, with large outside decks to admire the view. The outside, partially open bathrooms adjoining the bedrooms have boulder, cement and rock walls, and roofs of rough mopane branches. Hot water is supplied by wood-burning 'donkey' boilers. The central area of the camp is raised and comprises four thatched domes; the reception area and curio shop, dining room, lounge and bar and guest toilets all with amazing views toward the Aba Huab riverbed. An outside boma area is an additional venue for fire-cooked meals. The central sitting area is furnished with wood and cane chairs, a leather couch, rough hewn chunks of wood used as small tables, tree trunk supports and woven lights hanging elegantly from the thatch roofs. A small swimming pool built into the rocks and a viewpoint with 360 degrees of breathtaking beauty, are two attractive outdoor features. Activities at the camp include nature drives with the possibility of seeing the desert-adapted elephants in the dry season, Twyfelfontein excursions to the rock engravings and guided walks in front of the camp with Kipwe's experienced guides. 26 October, 2011 Page 3 of 8

4 08-Jul Jul-12 Etosha / Okaukuejo Rest Camp DBB Continue via Khorixas and Outjo to Etosha. Game drives from the comfort of your own vehicle and your knowledgeable guide to answer your questions and show you the diverse spectrum of wildlife in Etosha National Park. Etosha National Park is one of Southern Africa's finest and most important Game Reserves. Etosha Game park was declared a National Park in 1907 and covering an area of square km, it is home to 114 mammal species, 340 bird species, 110 reptile species, 16 amphibian species and, surprisingly, one species of fish. The Etosha Park is one of the first places on any itinerary designed for a holiday in Namibia. Etosha, meaning "Great White Place", is dominated by a massive mineral pan. The pan is part of the Kalahari Basin, the floor of which was formed around 1000 million years ago. The Etosha Pan covers around 25% of the National Park. The pan was originally a lake fed by the Kunene River. However the course of the river changed thousands of years ago and the lake dried up. The pan now is a large dusty depression of salt and dusty clay which fills only if the rains are heavy and even then only holds water for a short time. This temporary water in the Etosha Pan attracts thousands of wading birds including impressive flocks of flamingos. The perennial springs along the edges of the Etosha Pan draw large concentrations of wildlife and birds. A San legend about the formation of the Etosha Pan tells of how a village was raided and everyone but the women slaughtered. One woman was so upset about the death of her family she cried until her tears formed a massive lake. When the lake dried up nothing was left apart from a huge white pan. Okaukuejo is 114kms north of Outjo on the C38. This road leads you right to Etosha Park's Andersson's Gate and from here it is only a few 'game viewing' kilometers to Okaukuejo. It is the oldest tourist camp in Etosha and it currently functions as the administrative hub of the park as well as being home to the Etosha Ecological Institute. It is situated at the Southern end of the Etosha Pan. The main attraction of this camp is that it overlooks a permanent waterhole, which is floodlit at night. Here a wide diversity of wildlife congregates and interacts. The spectacle starts at dawn, with animals coming in large numbers to quench their thirst. The excitement continues throughout the day and deep into the night. In the early evenings, it is not uncommon to have black rhinoceros, elephant and lion, all drinking at the same time. There is a bar, shop, swimming pool and a kiosk The restaurant provides a choice of a buffet or 'a la carte' menus. Premier Waterhole Chalet: double story chalet with a balcony overlooking the waterhole. Two bedrooms, downstairs with 2 single beds and upstairs with a queen size double. Lounge area, fridge and tea-station Family Chalet: self catering unit with two bedrooms, kitchenette and braai (barbeque) area Waterhole Chalet: situated close to the waterhole these are comfortable double rooms with en-suite bathroom, fridge & tea-station Bush Chalet: 2 bed chalet with one bedroom, bathroom, lounge area & braai. Equipped with fridge & tea station Double Room: room with en-suite bathroom, fridge & tea station Okaukuejo is the main area of tourist activity inside Etosha, but visitors can also choose to stay at either Halali, Namutoni or Onkoshi Camp. All four of these camps are operated by Namibia Wildlife Resorts and have the advantage of being inside the Etosha National Park. Alternatively, you might like to enquire about several other private lodges around Etosha. 26 October, 2011 Page 4 of 8

5 09-Jul Jul-12 Etosha East / Mushara Lodge DBB Full day game drive in the Etosha National Park from the comfort of your tour vehicle. In the late afternoon you exit the park and drive to your lodge just outside the gates. The game viewing in Etosha National Park is excellent, the best time being from May to September - the cooler months in Namibia. Visitors to Etosha Game Reserve can expect to see many buck species, elephant, giraffe, rhino and lions. More fortunate visitors will see leopard and cheetah. There is a network of roads to various waterholes. When it was originally proclaimed at the turn of the century the Etosha Park consisted of an area of 100,000 square kilometres. This was the largest reserve on earth but in the 1960's political pressure resulted in the Park being reduced to its current size. Located only 8kms from the Von Lindequist Gate on the eastern outskirts of the Etosha National Park, Mushara Lodge is ideally situated for travelers visiting the park. Our Lodge consists of ten spacious chalets, one family unit and two single rooms. In a horseshoe shape around the swimming pool there are ten well-spaced thatched chalets. Each chalet and the rooms are extremely spacious and are furnished with air-conditioning, mosquito net, mini bar fridge, safe, tea and coffee making facilities, electric lights, direct dial telephone, wardrobe and luggage rack. The bathrooms are en suite with separate toilette. Seven of the chalets have just a shower and the other three chalets, the triple room and the single rooms have a bath and shower. The name Mushara derives from the Purple Pod Terminalia tree, which grows in abundance in the lodge grounds and the surrounding area. The thatched public area consists of a small library with a selection of good books, a bar with an extensive wine cellar, airy lounge with welcoming fireplace for winter evenings, a dining area and well stocked curio shop. Great attention has been paid to the décor, which is an electic blend of traditional African and modern art works combined with original paintings. 10-Jul Jul-12 Caprivi / Susuwe Island Lodge FB & ACT After breakfast you will drive to Tsumeb Airoport where you be met by your Pilotguide for your Fly In Safari. Continue by flight to the Caprivi strip where you will spend the next 2 days at Susuwe Island Lodge. Please note for your flight striclty 15kg per person luggage in soft bags incl hand luggage, if 3 or 4 pax only 10kg. Excess luggage can be delivered at the airport on your day of departure in Windhoek. Situated in the Kwando River in northeastern Namibia, Susuwe Island Lodge offers just this. Six luxury suites, each with a wooden viewing platform and private plunge pool, is a haven of calm and respite, an airy dreaming space to recharge the senses. Professionally guided game drives are rewarded with special sightings of roaming elephant and buffalo, lechwe, lion, and leopard. The Kwando River nourishes its delicate ecosystems thus sustaining the varied game and birdlife in the region. Lofty canopy viewing decks set amongst tall riverine trees overlook endless savannahs and glistening lily-studded wetlands. A firepit is embraced by a spacious lounge area and eclectic African art. Relaxation, privacy and comfort are paramount at Susuwe. A mouth-watering aroma, the clink of silver against china, a wine glass filled - these are the joys of African alfresco dining. Fresh air sharpens whetted appetites and a picnic laid out amidst tall whispering grasses in unchartered territory illuminates the experience. A river cruise is preferable at sunrise or sunset and guided walks and night drives offer even closer insight into the intrigue of the African bush. We offer our visitors the opportunity to merge unhurriedly with Africa's timeless evolution of hazy days and star-studded nights. 26 October, 2011 Page 5 of 8

6 12-Jul Jul-12 Livingstone / Zambezi Sun Hotel DBB Flight to Katima Mulilo for Immigration and continue to Livingstone. On arrival you will be transferred to your lodge. In the afternoon we will depart on a sunset boat cruise in the might Zambezi river. Next morning we visit Victoria Falls, or as called by the locals " the smoke that thunders". Located on the Zambezi River, about 621 miles from its source, the Victoria Falls are one of World's best-known geographical features and tourist attractions. With a width of 5600 feet and an average depth of about 328 feet, they form the biggest single curtain of falling water in the world. The flow of water over the Falls varies according to the time of year and the rainfall in the Zambezi's upper catchment areas in western Zambia and Angola. In November and December it may be only cu feet per minute but towards the end of a normal rainy season it reaches cu feet or more per minute. During the recordbreaking floods of 1958 it reached a peak of cu feet per minute. The Victoria Falls are part of the acres Victoria Falls National Park. Because of their unique scenery and geological interest the Falls have been designated a World Heritage Site under the UNESCO World Heritage Convention, to which Zimbabwe is a signatory nation The Zambezi Sun Hotel is located in a prime position on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls. The hotel is a resort-style complex, and is fun and welcoming, making it suitable for families, singles and couples. The architecture at the Zambezi Sun is eclectic and inspired by African tradition, and the feel of an old walled city. The restaurant and bar are positioned around the large, central pool area, while the communal areas are bight, bold and spacious. Don't be surprised to find the occasional zebra wandering through the Zambezi Sun's well maintained grounds, while you're relaxing in the bright Zambian sunshine. The Victoria Falls is just a short walk away, giving you the opportunity to engage in the many activities offered there, as all guests are offered complimentary Falls access. For an adventurous experience, you could go bungee jumping or whitewater rafting, or for a more relaxing time, go for a boat cruise down the river. Victoria Falls is one of the wonders of the natural world. It is called "Mosi-oa-Tunya", meaning, in the local language, "the smoke that thunders", which describes the spray and the roar as the Zambezi River drops 300 feet into the narrow gorge below. The Falls have fascinated travellers since David Livingstone was the first European explorer to see the Falls in A visit to Victoria Falls is a definate MUST if doing a safari in nearby Botswana, Zambia or in Zimbabwe. We will arrange all necessary transfers, accommodations and activities for you. Created in turn by Volcanic activity, erosion and the course of one of Africa s greatest rivers, the Zambezi, the Victoria Falls has captured the hearts, minds and adventurous spirits of people the world over. It was David Livingstone who, after that now famous entry in this diary - On sights as beautiful as this Angels in their flight must have gazed - claimed it for the British crown and named it after his Queen. The sight of millions of gallons of turbulent water cascading over a sheer precipice into a narrow gorge a hundred metres below is something nobody can ever forget. Considered the largest curtain of falling water in the world, the magnificent Victoria Falls draws visitors from all over the world. In spate, between February and May, the Victoria Falls resounds as the waters of the Zambezi River, pulverised to vapour, rise 457 metres (1,500 feet) into the sky. Bank to bank the total width of the Falls is more than one and a half kilometres. The height of the various falls ranges between 100 and 116 metres. The width of the gorge at its narrowest point is sixty metres. The volume of water that flows over the Falls varies considerably. At its lowest, between late October and early November, as little as cubic metres of water a minute flow into the gorge below. 26 October, 2011 Page 6 of 8
