2 SUNDAY 17 MARCH 2019 Meet Nicole at Melbourne Airport for your overnight flight to Kilmanjaro MONDAY 18 MARCH 2019 Arusha On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Arusha (approximately 48 KM / 1 hour). 1 night Mt Meru Hotel (or similar) including breakfast. TUESDAY 19 MARCH 2019 Ngorongoro Crater Rim via Lake Manyara This morning you will drive to Lake Manyara National Par, a mineral lake in the basin of Africa s Great Rift Valley. Enjoy a morning game drive in the park, the home of the so-called tree-climbing lions. Apart from the varied types of landscape including forest, swamp and savannah, Lake Manyara National Park supports a large variety of animals including giraffe, zebra, elephant, hippos, monkeys and a large variety of birdlife. Proceed to Oldean Mountain lodge for lunch followed by an afternoon spent at leisure. (BLD) 2 nights Oldean Mountain Lodge including all meals and A 5 star colonial lodge situated on a picturesque hill with spectacular views onto Oldeani Mountain and the Ngorongoro Crater Rim. The lodge is elevated with 360 degree views that extend all the way to Lake Eyasi and Lake Manyara. 3 SEE THE SERENGETI or MASAI MARA FROM ABOVE WEDNESDAY 20 MARCH 2019 Ngorongoro Crater Breakfast at the lodge you will then collect lunch boxes and drive to the Ngorongoro conservation area for your half day crater tour. Descend over 600m down to the Ngorongoro Crater floor. Covering over 250 sq km of land, the Ngorongoro Crater is home to the rare black rhino, lion, elephant, cheetah and great herds of buffalo, antelope and wildebeest, and is one of Africa s most unbelievable landscapes. Explore the forest and lake areas where you may see flamingos and open savannah. Drive back to Karatu town in the afternoon. (BLD) THURSDAY 21 MARCH 2019 Serengeti National Park After breakfast continue on to Tanzania s abundant Serengeti National Park in time for lunch. This enormous park supports every variety of animal imaginable - from large predators to the smaller herbivores they prey on. Lunch at Mbugani Central Camp followed by an afternoon game drive. (BLD) 2 nights Ole Serai Luxury Camp including all meals and This Luxury Camp is ideally located within Central Seronera area of the famous Serengeti National Park in Tanzania around the vicinity of the famous Moru Kopjes and Lake Magadi. The Camp site is perched between the Rongai Hills & Nyaroboro Hills, a few metres away from the banks of the Mbalageti / Seronera River having an abundant variety of resident wildlife (including all the Big 5) as well as a Hippo Pool located only a few metres away from the camp FRIDAY 22 MARCH 2019 Serengeti National Park Full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Whilst staying in the Serengeti or Masai Mara you can choose to float above the open savannah for a unique perspective of the wildlife below, with superb photographic opportunities. SATURDAY 23 MARCH 2019 Amboseli National Park Breakfast at your camp and then transfer to Seronera airstrip for your scheduled flight to Arusha with Air Excel 11h05/12h30. On arrival at Arusha airport you will be met and transferred to Arusha coffee lodge for lunch then transfer to the Tarakea border (change vehicles) then proceed to Amboseli. (BLD) 2 nights Satao Elerai Camp including all meals and scheduled game viewing activities. Satao Elerai is located in a quiet, unspoilt, unique setting on a 5,000 acres private conservation area 12kms south east of Amboseli National Park at the foot of Africa s largest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro. The camp looks over Amboseli National Park and Mt Kilimanjaro, giving you what is arguably the best location of any camp in the area. The camp offers 12 tents and 5 suites. Each tent has its own en-suite bathroom with solar hot showers and a toilet with a view. Raised cedar wood floors, acacia poles and makuti (thatch) roofing complement the surrounding environment. 4 TUESDAY 26 MARCH 2019 After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru past the extinct Volcano of Mt Longonot and Suswa, into the homelands of Kenya s Masai. The constitutes the northern stretch of the Serengeti and has the richest concentration of animals in Kenya (approximately 250 KM / 5 hours). (BLD) SUNDAY 24 MARCH 2019 Amboseli National Park Following an early breakfast, depart on a full day game drive in Amboseli National Park. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the Park before returning late afternoon to Satao Elerai for dinner and overnight. (BLD) MONDAY 25 MARCH 2019 Lake Nakuru Game Reserve After breakfast, depart Satao Elerai and continue to Lake Nakuru, which is known for its birdlife as well as wildlife. The park boasts a good number of rhinos as well as a large population of leopard and lion. After lunch at the lodge enjoy an afternoon game drive.
