Most of the length of the trail is gradual up and down with only a few short steep areas. We may decide to additionally visit Kelsey Spring, Dorsey Spring or the cabin at Winter Cabin Spring. There are many spectacular panoramic views of Sycamore Canyon as you hike along the trail. Expect to stop for lunch & libations at Flagstaff s La Fonda Mexican Restaurant afterward. Bring sunscreen, hat, boots, plenty of water, snacks and $ for carpool. Children, well behaved outdoor dogs are welcome. The hike could be canceled if weather is a factor. Cost to nonmembers is $5. We ll start hiking near the southern trailhead and hike north for 4 miles. Faster hikers can continue another 0.7 miles to Barbershop Canyon if they wish.
