Deposits & Payments: Ellison Travel & Tours will accept payment in the form of cheque, Visa or Mastercard. Cheques must be made payable to Ellison Travel & Tours. If the credit card sale is declined, the customer will be informed immediately, and payment will be considered not received. Verbal authorization of the use of your credit card commits you to your reservation whether or not you have signed a credit card draft. Refunds will be processed in the form they were received. Goods & Services Tax: The Canadian Government's G.S.T. and/or H.S.T. may apply to the cost of your tour. Your travel advisor will advise of the additional G.S.T./H.S.T. charges, if any, that apply to the cost of your tour. Ellison Travel & Tours reserves the right to pass any Government changes to the tax structure on to the consumer. Price Guarantee: Once the deposit is paid, the tour cost is guaranteed. Prices are however subject to change to cover any unexpected costs over which Ellison Travel & Tours has no control, such as fuel surcharges, government taxes and country visas. In the event of a surcharge tour members and/or vacation consultants will be advised of any surcharge on their tour. If a rate increase of more than 7% is necessary, clients may cancel with no penalties. No surcharges will be added within 30 days prior to departure. Insurance: Ellison Travel & Tours strongly recommends the purchase of Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance, and Comprehensive Assistance, Health Coverage, Individual Accident Coverage, and Baggage and Personal Effects Insurance. Details are available from your travel advisor. Proof of Citizenship: Canadian Citizens are asked to carry a passport for tours to the United States. For international travel a valid passport is required. Citizens of other countries or landed immigrants should check with their travel agent for requirements for travel outside Canada. Passengers must have valid passports for travel abroad and visas for some countries. Note: Passports may be required to be valid for a period of time beyond your return date. Ellison Travel & Tours does not accept responsibility for passengers who do not meet correct visa and passport requirements. Currency: All prices are shown in Canadian Dollars. Permission to Use Digital Images: Ellison Travel & Tours reserves the right to use all photographs, video or other digital transmissions for promotional material. These include those provided to us by the group leader or other members of the group participating in one of our tours. Baggage: Maximum baggage allowance on motorcoach tours is one large suitcase per person. All hand luggage must be carried personally aboard the motorcoach or aircraft. Although the Tour Manager and Coach Driver supervise the transfer of luggage to and from the motorcoach and every effort is made to handle luggage as carefully as possible, Ellison Travel & Tours cannot assume liability for loss, theft or damage due to breakage, fire, water, etc. Accommodation: All hotels listed in itineraries have been confirmed at the time of printing, but are subject to change. On most tours, TWIN refers to two persons sharing one room with two beds; however, in some areas, only one double bed may be available, so please specify at time of booking if you wish two separate beds. TRIPLE or QUAD usually refers to three or four persons sharing one room with two double beds, all with private bath. Please keep in mind that in some areas local customs may mean that there is a change in the type of accommodation provided. Responsibility: Ellison Travel & Tours acts solely as organizer of the tours outlined in this brochure and is responsible for making all reservations and charting the routes as outlined but it is expressly understood and agreed between the tour organizer and the passengers that Ellison Travel & Tours or its agents shall not be held responsible for: a) non-performance on the part of any hotel or other accommodation for any act or omission that cannot be directly attributed to the neglect of the tour organizer; b) any delays, misconnections, loss, damage or injury to persons or property or for mechanical defects or failure, however caused or for any substitution of hotels or carrier equipment beyond the control of the tour operator, or for any additional expenses occasioned thereby; c) any inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset, disappointment, distress or frustration whether physical or mental however caused, except where caused directly by the tour operator; d) any additional costs incurred or any ancillary loss sustained as a result of cancellations or delays of tours caused by inclement weather conditions, acts of God, or any other event, which result in one or more persons being unable to continue or complete the tour through no direct fault of the tour organizer. The tour organizer reserves the right to make any changes before or during the tour for the comfort and enjoyment of the passengers and it is agreed and understood that any increase in costs occasioned by such change shall be paid by the passengers or any decrease in costs occasioned by the change shall be refunded to the passenger. All tour itineraries are subject to change or cancellation without prior notice. Tour managers are subject to substitution where deemed necessary. Ellison Travel & Tours shall have no responsibilities beyond their refund of all monies paid by the passenger which is deemed to constitute full settlement. The tour organizer reserves the right to decline any person as a member of the tour at any time before or during the tour should such person's presence be considered detrimental to the interest, comfort and enjoyment of the other tour members. Persons leaving the tour during operation will not receive a refund of unused services. Ellison Travel & Tours, its agents and all passengers agree that conditions set out herein are part of the terms between the passenger and the tour organizer. Acceptance of the ticket for the tour or any deposit given to the tour organizer represents acceptance by the passenger of all the aforementioned conditions.

Failure to do so will result in participants being denied entry/boarding and returned home at the expense of the individual. Canadian Citizens require a valid passport (authorities at your destination require that passports are valid for 6 months beyond your return date). Non-Canadian travellers should contact Ellison Travel & Tours at traveldocuments@ettravel.com so we can check entry and transit requirements and confirm that they have the correct travel documentation and/or visa requirements. Day 1 Wednesday November 14 Flight D / M - group to meet at Pearson International Airport where your Ellison Tours Tour Manager is waiting for you (groups are to check in 3 hours prior) - check in with the airline for your flights to San Jose, Costa Rica - arrive at Juan Santamaria International Airport - an English speaking representative will be waiting to welcome you and take you to your hotel for the first night in the city - check-in at Quality Real (EP) for 1 night Day 2 Thursday November 15 Tortuguero Area - early morning departure to the Caribbean site of Costa Rica - pass by the Braulio Carillo National Park to get to the Port of Matina (or alternative) - board a boat there and travel along the Tortuguero Canals until we reach our final destination: Tortuguero (approximately 2 and a half hours) - on arrival a delicious lunch will be served at the restaurant - this afternoon enjoy a tour to Tortuguero s village - experience the lifestyle of the local people, visit the museum and time to buy some souvenirs - The area of Tortuguero is rightfully called The Amazon of Costa Rica because access is only by boat on Jungle Rivers. - check-in at Tortuga Lodge for 2 nights Day 3 Friday November 16 Tortuguero National Park - after breakfast, enjoy a hiking trip to the Tortuguero Hill, where we will get closer to the surrounding forest and learn about its species, plants and inhabitants - in the afternoon enjoy a relaxing boat tour along the backwater canals to discover the wildlife that resides in the area Page 1 of 4

4 Day 4 Saturday November 17 Transfer to Arenal Volcano Area followed by check out - board the coach on a journey to Arenal Volcano area - mid-afternoon are and check-in at Hotel Los Lagos for 2 nights - remainder of the day is free to enjoy and relax at the hotel. B/L Day 5 Sunday November 18 Arena Hanging Bridges B - depart for The Hanging Bridges project - It consists of eight (8) fixed bridges, ranging in length between 8 and 22 meters, and six (6) hanging bridges, built with the latest techniques, and designed with an eye for both beauty and safety. The hanging bridges are between 48 and 98 meters long. All the bridges are made of galvanized steel and high-strength aluminum. The safety mesh and the suspension cables are all galvanized steel. The entire project was designed to blend with the natural environment, leaving the forest virtually intact. - after the tour return to the hotel to rest and relax. Day 6 Monday November 19 Transfer to La Ensenada Lodge - transfer to the La Ensenada Mountain Lodge for 2 nights Day 7 Tuesday November 20 Palo Verde Boat Tour & Tractor Tour - enjoy a tour of about two hours duration along the canals of the Abangares River into the mangrove forests, an important ecosystem - There are a great variety of birds and if we are lucky, you may see crocodiles, crab eating racoons, and iguanas. - this afternoon explore the ranch and reserve via tractor - Through seldom used trails, among coconut or cashew trees, we will discover many tropical fruits, such as pineapples, guavas, avocados and much more. Crowning this rich vegetation are fabulous orchids hanging from the trees with their aerial roots expose. The forest surrounding the property also provides habitat for many species or turtles, alligators, monkeys, and bird species with divinely colored feathers. Day 8 Wednesday November 21 Visit to Carara National Park & Transfer to Quepos B followed by check out - board the coach and depart for the Manuel Antonio area - On the way, we will make a stop to visit Carara National Park located in the transitional zone from the dry northern Pacific to the humid southern Pacific Coast; Carara shelters an amazing diversity reptiles (Carara is an Indian word for Place of the Crocodiles ), mammals and birds. We may even get to see the endangered beautiful Scarlet Macaw, which uses Carara as its nesting sanctuary. - afternoon arrival to Manuel Antonio area. - check-in at La Mariposa Hotel for 2 nights Day 9 Thursday November 22 Manuel Antonio National Park B - Today we visit Manuel Antonio National Park established in 1972 with an area of 690 hectares. The beaches, curving around a bay strewn with islands of rock and shaded by green border of rain forest. This park is considered to be one of the most beautiful of the park system, with the best white sand beach on the country. Facilities offered to the tourists are: trails, restrooms, Page 2 of 4

5 picnic areas, outlooking in Punta Cathedral and Puerto Escondido. Manuel Antonio encloses with at least 400 plant species; and associated to the forest more than 100 species of mammals and 184 of birds could be found there. More likely to be seen are the three kinds of monkeys, including a subspecies of the squirrel monkey, found only in this park, other mammals like agoutis, armadillos, and coatis. Tropical birds toucans, parrots and ant birds are just a few of the specialties in this Tropical Humid Forest. The Savegre River, one of the most pristine rivers in the country and surrounded by lush vegetation and meandering waters, features class II and III rapids that are perfect for beginner rafters. Day 10 Friday November 23 transfer to Savegre Lodge followed by check out - board the coach and transfer to San Gerardo de Dota - afternoon at leisure for optional activities and treks (details to follow) - check-in at Savegre Lodge for 2 nights Day 11 Saturday November 24 Resplendent Quetzal Observation - enjoy a visit to Savegre Private Biological Reserve located in the environs of the Cerro de la Muerte in the Talamanca Mountain Range - It consists of Cloud Forest with elevations varying between 1,220 and 2,560 meters above sea level. The annual rainfall is 2550 millimeters and the temperature vary between -2.2 and 26 degrees centigrade. The relative humidity is 70% year-round. The reserve is made up of 400 hectares of forest, 80% of which is virgin, while the remainder is newer growth, including reforestation programs using native species especially laurels. The area is frequently visited by eco-tourists from around the world who come to enjoy the large diversity of plant life, including oak and laurel trees, orchids and bromelias. This animal life includes more than 170 species of birds including the magnificent Quetzal as well as numerous mammals, amphibians, and insects. Day 12 Sunday November 25 Transfer to San Jose B/D followed by check out - board the coach and travel back to San Jose - On route we will visit Cartago town. Founded in 1563 by Juan Vasquez de Coronado, it was the Capital of Costa Rica until The years following the regions secession from the Spanish Empire in 1821, were turbulent times for all of Central America and it was no different in Costa Rica. Following a couple of years of struggle in which all four of Costa Rica`s major settlements, Cartago, San Jose, Heredia and Alajuela claimed the right to be the capital of the new country, Cartago lost a brief but bloody civil war with San Jose. Therefore, relinquishing its political leadership while at the same time remaining the religious and spiritual center of the country. Also, we will visit en route of Cartago`s most important landmark, La Basilica de la Virgen de Los Angeles, which holds the statue of the nation s patron saint La Negrita and is the site of an annual pilgrimage by hundreds of thousands of Costa Ricans and Central American Catholics. - check-in at Quality Real Hotel for 1 night - group farewell dinner Day 13 Monday November 26 Transfer to the Airport B/M Page 3 of 4
