Many people both living in and visiting Vancouver B.C., do not realize we are living on the edge of one of the most magnificent rainforests in the world. In our opinion visiting Vancouver without seeing the Rainforest is like visiting Hong Kong without shopping, or Egypt without seeing the Pyramids or Washington D.C. without seeing the White House! We strongly believe the Canadian Rainforest is the most unique and magnificent sight in the Vancouver area.

2 About the Hikes: Exercise Adventure Mystery Education These hikes are an adventure into a timeless land of the Canadian rainforest few people will ever forget provided they have had the opportunity to see, visit or understand. From our hikes, it will be up to you to decide where the superstition/ mystery/ and psychosis of the Rainforest ends and the science begins. From our hikes, you will: Explore the mystery of part of our Canadian rainforest; the vibrancy of the ground, air and scenery, the animals, the topography, the geography and the medicinal plants that we are taking in modern life. Understand how medicines are developed for various Don t just see pictures of the rainforest! Breakfast There will be a breakfast seminar on the day of hiking. The seminar will provide an overview of: Length and time of the hike, structure and difficulty of the hike. Review safe hiking procedures. Review the checklist participants should bring. Present and explain about the photos taken from the hiking area. Hikes occur from sea level to 5,000 feet above sea level. We experience the rainforest from Sea to Sky and beyond! Taking transit to the hiking destination. 2. Go Hiking Enjoy the beautiful day in our spectacular Canadian Difficulty and length of the hikes: Hiking trips will be 3-4 hours including moderate walk to moderate incline at times on established trails within the local Hiking location varies depending on time of the year and weather. * These hikes are by no means meant to be an extremely difficult workout for professional or semiprofessional athletes. 5 3. Transportation To be as environmentally friendly as possible, we presently use the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD) transit system to arrive at and leave our hiking destinations. 4. Our Hiking Schedule Our hiking season is March 1 - Oct. 15. Starting March 1, 2008 (weather permitting on Saturday and Sundays). Who should come? Come if you: Are a novice hiker looking to learn the basics of safe hike. Love nature and want to learn more about it in a group environment.
