Catch a taxi to the city and meet everyone at the hotel. We will then hop on the tour coach and head into the city centre, and you'll have some free time to enjoy the city at your leisure this evening.

3 DAY 3: Amsterdam You have a free morning to experience the delights of Amsterdam, or join us on an optional tour of the Dutch countryside. This excursion begins with an entertaining demonstration of how traditional Dutch clogs are made by hand, followed by a lesson in local cheese making. There is time to pop some clogs on, and taste the cheesy treats. Your next stop for the day is to the historical windmill village of Zaanse Schans, where you will discover how they were vital to industrial development to the Netherlands. This is a great chance to get some fabulous photos! A visit to the quaint sea side village of Volendam allows you to stretch your legs, wander the main street filled with cafes and local nick-nacks and admire the sprawling views. Your afternoon is free time to explore the city further. There are numerous museums and art galleries to choose from - why not visit Anne Frank s house, the Van Gogh museum, take a bicycle tour or simply wander the streets and canals. This evening we meet back up to enjoy an included dinner cruise of the iconic canals. DAY 4: Amsterdam - Berlin Today you continue your Europe tour into Germany. The city of Berlin has a positive energy which bursts in every direction. There is an eclectic mix of different music styles and street art - a stark opposite of

4 the lifestyle which was reflected in times when the city was divided into East and West during the Cold War. Although there are constant reminders of the oppression suffered by the German people who were contained within the walls of the city, the modern day version is practically the opposite of this. If you have time before dinner take a short walk to the river and check out the Berlin Wall. Tomorrow you will have plenty of time to explore the city in depth. DAY 5: Berlin Today you will be introduced to Berlin on a locally guided walking tour of the city - visiting such poignant locations as the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, the Site of Hitler s Former Bunker, Luftwaffe HQ, 17th June Street, The Berlin Wall, The Former SS Headquarters, and Checkpoint Charlie. Visitors to Berlin are fascinated with the history surrounding the division of the city in to East and West, and significant locations which featured in news bulletins and TV footage of the day. After the walking tour you'll have the afternoon free to explore the city, or join an optional excursion to Sachsenhausen concentration camp. DAY 6: Dresden - Prague

5 It s time to bid farewell to Berlin, and Czech out Prague, but not before stopping at the German city of Dresden. Virtually rebuilt from the ground up after bombing attacks in WW2 destroyed the city centre, Dresden is immaculate and stylish. Try some of the local German food - such as Bratwurst, and have a wander around the beautifully paved streets. Heading east to the Czech Republic, it is time to get excited about what lies ahead. Prague's historic centre was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992, and your locally guided walking tour will introduce you to many locations, which you will want to explore in more depth on your free day tomorrow. For dinner, experience authentic Czech cuisine at a local restaurant. DAY 7: Prague - Free day Treat yourself to the fairy tale magic of Prague - an ancient city that has an essence of youthful inquisitiveness and old world wisdom. Highlights of the day might include the majestic Prague Castle, the famous Charles Bridge (you need to also see the views from the bridge at night - simply stunning...), the Old Town and the Jewish Quarter. There is also a Secret Garden which leads to a man-made grotto - see if you can find it! Prague's dramatic history is reflected in the beauty of the architecture of churches, opera houses, concert halls and parks. There are numerous beer halls in which to sample a local brew, and for those who wish to put your stamp on the city, why not visit legendary Lennon wall - a tribute to John Lennon and words of peace, which is added to on a daily basis by the thousands of visitors to the city.

6 DAY 8: Bratislava - Vienna Today, you will continue your tour of Eastern Europe towards the Slovakian capital of Bratislava. Located on the Danube River, the city is a melting pot of numerous nationalities and religions, and so explains the very relaxed and down to earth nature of its residents. After your Bratislavan breather, you are all set for the Austrian city of Vienna - boasting some of Europe s most impressive architecture, and a cultural heritage steeped in glorious flamboyance and style. Home to Sigmund Freud, the Vienna Boys Choir, a clutch of the worlds most celebrated composers (including Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms), the United Nations, OPEC and Weiner Scnitzel, the city centre has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site since Take a glance at the famous Schonbrunn Palace as you approach Vienna, and once you have arrived, explore the centre on your guided walking tour of the city. Taking in the Golden Mile, Imperial Castle and St Stephen s Cathedral, allow the history to wash over you and marvel at Vienna s significance in modern and ancient history. DAY 9: Ljubljana - Venice This morning we head for Slovenia, and the the small city of Ljubljana. A local guide will escort you on a walking tour of this fairytale city, pointing

7 out the numerous bridges and brilliantly preserved baroque, Gothic and medieval architecture. Take in the stunning scenery as you head south, crossing the border into Italy. Welcome to Venice! This unique city straddles 118 islands, and is known for its canals, gondolas, art and traditional glass and lace making. This evening you will have free time to relax at the hotel, or join an optional excursion to experience Venice by night on a traditional water taxi. DAY 10: Venice - Free day Your tour leader will escort you into the heart of Venice and take you on an orientation walking tour of the city, so you can make the most of your time here and plan for the rest of your free day. Get your cameras ready for the world famous St Marks Square, Grand Canal, Rialto Bridge and more! If you want to see how Venice's iconic glass and lace art is created, an optional excursion to the islands of Murano and Burano provides the perfect opportunity. Alternatively, if it is a warm day, why not head for a dip with the locals at the ever popular Lido Beach? There are hundreds of little cafés alongside the canals, offering a unique view of the waterways and a variety of food and wine options. DAY 11: Venice - Rome

8 Continuing on the Italian leg of your Europe tour, the vibe of Venice will suddenly be substituted by the richness of Rome! After a picturesque drive through the Italian countryside, the Italian capital looms, buzzing with activity, tradition, passion, and an energy of its own. A local Roman guide will introduce you to the locations which make this city so beloved and famous, on an evening walking tour of the city. The Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Roman Forum and the Colosseum...just for starters! Whilst at the Trevi Fountain, toss a coin over your shoulder; legend has it, that you will return to Rome again one day. On the way back to our accommodation for the evening, you can start to plan what to do with your free days. DAY 12: Rome - Free day Today is a free day for you to experience Rome's ancient history, exquisite culture and delicious food - we offer an optional food tour and an optional excursion to the pope's summer residence. Later this afternoon you'll also have the opportunity to visit the Vatican City - the smallest country in the world! Inside the walls, you can visit the Sistine Chapel and see for yourself the famous ceiling painted by Michelangelo, as well as numerous other famous art pieces dotted around the buildings.

9 DAY 13: Rome - Free day Another free day in the capital to explore as you wish. You can accompany your tour leader on an optional excursion to Pompeii, or visit the spectacular Colosseum, which offers an unbelievable feeling of drifting backwards in time, to when gladiators, chariots and lions dominated the arena. The Italians believe in taking it easy, so why not chill out at a trattoria with some tasty morsels, a cold beverage and some good conversation this evening. DAY 14: End of Tour On the last day of your tour, ensure that you swap numbers with your fellow travellers, before you part ways. The tour concludes after breakfast. 10 DESTINATION INTERNATIONAL HOLIDAYS BOOKING CONDITIONS Please read this information prior to making your reservation BROCHURE VALIDITY The information presented in our brochure is correct to the best of our knowledge, but is subject to change without notice. Changes can occur with respect to prices, itineraries, duration of holidays, service standards, tour content, airfares and schedules. This is out of our control. Please ensure you advise details of your requirements at the time of booking. GOODS AND SERVICES TAX (GST) The Australian GST does not apply to international travel. Any service fees, courier, cancellation and amendment fees are subject to GST. You will be charged GST where applicable. DEPOSIT A deposit is required to confirm your booking (varies depending on package booked). Receipt of deposit will be taken as an understanding by Destination International Holidays that the customer has checked their confirmed travel arrangements and has read and agreed to the terms and conditions. FINAL PAYMENT Payment in full must be made no less than 90 days before travel, unless required earlier by any supplier. PRICES All prices for our tours are advised in Australian Dollars ($AUD). They are based on airfares, schedules and tariffs at the time of printing. Destination International Holidays reserves the right to vary the cost of the tour, taxes and airline prices if necessary by reason of currency fluctuation, cost increase, or airfare increase. All prices are subject to confirmation from local tour operators. Once full payment has been received by Destination International no surcharges in respect to currency fluctuations will be applied.

11 ITINERARY CHANGES Destination International Holidays reserves the right to amend the itinerary for reasons such as service requirements, road or weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Where a change is of a significant nature, it will be advised to our customers in writing. Destination International Holidays reserves the right to substitute hotels, lodges, inns and camps with properties of similar standard AMENDMENT FEES Any deviation to packages advertised or quotes will incur a fee of $150 per person. Should you need to alter your confirmed reservations, there will be an automatic fee charged of $150 per amendment or transaction, plus any new arrangements made. Additionally, there may be cancellation fees levied by the tour operator or fees may be applicable where arrangements have been pre-purchased. In addition, we charge $50 per person for all airline seat reservations and baggage charges plus any airline fees. $100 per person for all Tourist visa processing plus the cost for the visa fee. $75 per person to reissue any travel documents lost in the mail. $100 per person to process insurance claims when travel insurance has not been purchased from this office. CANCELLATIONS Cancellation fees will be levied relative to the amount of notice given as follows: Days Notice 90 or more Loss of Deposit and 50% loss of fare 75% 85% 100% The above are Destination International Holidays cancellation fees. Airlines and Tour Operators may have additional fees. Transfer of a confirmed booking to another tour or departure date is deemed a cancellation of the original booking. There will be no refund for cancellation of unused services on or after commencement date. Please note that employees of any overseas suppliers are not authorised by Destination International Holidays to make any undertakings to our clients in respect of refunds or other matters. ACCOMMODATION There will be variations in the size, standard and presentation of rooms and facilities within the one hotel. This is beyond the control of Destination International Holidays. CLAIMS If you encounter any problems on your holiday, you should to try and solve it directly with the supplier whilst overseas. If it is not possible to do so please do so in writing within 30 days of completing your Destination International Holidays arrangements. TRAVEL INSURANCE You must be insured for the duration of your trip. You need comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellation, health requirements, luggage and additional expenses. Insurance policies rarely cover for loss of cash.

12 PASSPORT, VISA & VACCINATIONS You must familiarise yourself with any visa and health requirements that may be applicable in the countries you are visiting. You are responsible for all entry/exit health and any other documents required by laws, regulations, orders, demands or requirements of countries visited or transited. Please note that passport and visa requirements are not the responsibility of Destination International Holidays. We will not be held liable for any loss or expense due to the failure to comply with the above. We recommend that you be in possession of a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay overseas. CONSULAR ADVICE Official travel advice issued by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is available by calling or visiting their web site You must review this information both prior to making your booking and prior to departure. TOUR CONDITIONS Destination International Holidays does not itself provide carriage services, accommodation, transport or tours. Destination International Holidays acts as an agent for the Service Providers ). All products and services provided by Service Providers are provided on those Service Providers own terms and conditions which may include limitations and exclusions of liability. All bookings with Destination International Holidays and all tickets, vouchers, receipts, coupons, exchange orders and other like documents issued to the client, are subject to each Service Providers terms and conditions governing the provision of products and services to be provided by that Service provider. Destination International Holidays shall not be liable for any acts, omissions or defaults whether negligent or otherwise, of any Service Providers.
