2 1100 KM OF SNOWMOBILE TRAILS Snowmobiling The Highlands of Cape Breton Island have an extensive trail system with spectacular views, drive-up eateries, accommodations, and of course, great camaraderie among riders. Four-day Snowmobile Itinerary Designed by Clifford Aucoin Cabot Snowmobile Club HIGHLANDS OF CAPE BRETON DAY ONE 1. Start at the Whycocomagh Provincial Park 2. Travel to look-off at Campbell s Mountain 3. Travel along trails to Inverness and stop for lunch 4. Follow trails to Baddeck for dinner and overnight Approximate driving distance travelled for Day 1 is 165km DAY TWO 5. Head on trails to Northeast Margaree and have lunch at the Dancing Goat 6. Take trails north and stop at scenic look-off 7. Follow trail to Chéticamp for dinner and overnight Approximate driving distance travelled for Day 2 is 120km DAY THREE 8. Take trail back toward Margaree, then to look-off at Cape Clear for picnic lunch 9. Follow trails toward North River for look-off over North River Falls 10. Take northward trail to Wreck Cove for dinner and overnight Approximate driving distance travelled for Day 3 is 120km DAY FOUR Chéticamp Cabot Trail Inverness Mabou Pleasant Bay Whycocomagh Baddeck B R A 4 S D O R 9 10 Ingonish Wreck Cove 11. 4 4 DEDICATED SKIING FACILITIES Alpine and Nordic Skiing Cape Breton Island has a wealth of skiing facilities and trails that will appeal to downhill, cross-country, backcountry and even telemark skiers. Start at the cross country trails at Ski Ben Eoin 2. Drive to North Sydney and have lunch at the Seaview Golf Club before skiing their trails 3. Pick up items for supper for Day 2 at a grocery store in North Sydney 4. Drive to Indian Brook for dinner and overnight Approximate driving distance travelled for Day 1 is 115km DAY TWO 5.
