The idea of a bivouac goes back to the concept of simplicity. Simple, purely beautiful, far seeing and rich of emotions. Stephanie 2 people ca. 78 m 2 additional beds: 2 Stephanie, the youngest of the Santer Sisters and passionate cross country skier, has been inspired by the 5 elements while choosing her suite s design. She is fascinated by Chinese philosophy and Feng Shui, so she tried to create both harmony and energy in her suite. The shower area has combination of water from the side, cold mountain water to refresh your body and an essential fragrance of mint. 3 Infrared booth 9 Steam bath The infrared heat helps you relaxing muscular tensions especially on your back, it reinforces your immunesystem and helps reducing your stress level. The steam bath is a traditional sauna with a temperature from 40 to 50 C with a high humidity. It acts especially on your respiratory tract. 4 Kneipp pools 11 Aromatic sauna The combination of warm and cold water along the Kneipp parcour helps increasing your circulation and your foot reflex zones. This sauna reaches a temperature of about 30 C with relaxing lights, herbal aroma and music. It is designed to help you relaxing. It is a good alternative to the finnish sauna. 6 Kraxenofen Hay steam 12 Finnish sauna The hay steam is like a small hay bath for your back. It acts on your respiratory trackt and like a antiinfiammatory on your muscles. This sauna reaches between 75 to 90 C with a low humidity of 10 to 30 %. It is a traditional way to make sauna. After the sauna it is adviced to have a cold shower and to relax before the next activity. 30

In this cabin you can inhale pure air of sea salt, which helps with a cold or skin problems. Late Check Out: Upon request and for a supplement of 100,00 per room we offer the possibility of a Late Check Out. You can keep your room until 6.00 p.m and use the whole wellness area on the day of departure. Until 15 days before arrival date you will be charged for 40% of holiday s amount, until 8 days before 60%. In case of late cancellation or missed arrival 70%. In case of cancellation we do not reimburse the deposit of 150,00. Travel cancellation insurance: To help you enjoy your holiday at your best and avoid unpleasant surprises, we suggest purchasing our cancellation insurance. Should a cancellation occur, the deposit will be retained (even though a travel cancellation insurance has been purchased). Surcharges: The New Year s Eve Dinner is obligatory and a surcharge will be applied. Packages and special offers: You can book only 1 special offer for your stay, they are not cumulative. These words on Dobbiaco Toblach in German were spoken by Gustav Mahler, probably the town s most famous visitor ever. The town is also known for its sportive venues. Every year multiple cross-country-skiing races take place, like the FIS Tour de Ski and the long distance race Dobbiaco-Cortina. 34

35 The wildlife park in Dobbiaco The Wildlife park is situated in Carbonin Vecchia. From the hotel a beautiful walking and biking bath will bring you to the park. There you will find a lot of animals which are native in the alps, like venisons, red deers, lynxs, boars, mouflons, snowy owls, glues, ducks, gooses, coons, sheeps, wild cats, ponys, chucks, chinchillas, donkeys and goats. In the wildlife park you will find also the composing house of Gustav Mahler. The famous composer Gustav Mahler delighted in his summer holidays in Dobbiaco: It is wonderful to be here, it sets your soul and body at ease. From 1908 to 1910 Gustav Mahler spent the summer months at the Trenkerhof farm in Carbonin Vecchia. In the composing house there he created his Ninth Symphony, the unfinished Tenth Symphony and Das Lied von der Erde. 40 Stoneman The Stoneman Trail is a bike experience that starts with a dream and ends with a deep experience. The trail is 115 km long, has over 4,000 meters of vertical gain and is well marked. There are five checkpoints, a bracelet, a challenging Uphill and a Singletrail that make the Stoneman so attractive. 47 Our daughters Nathalie Santer Saskia Santer Stephanie Santer was born on 28th March 1972 and has been a successful Italian biathlete; she indeed achieved three times the first place, twice the second and nine times the third place. Overall 72 times places within the first 10 best, in international world cup races. Moreover she successfully took part to 5 Olympic games: Lillehammer, Albertville, Salt Lake City, Torino and Nagano. Now that she s concluded her carrier as a biathlete, she turned her passion for horses into her current profession. The family s traditional farmhouse in the Braies Valley has been recently renovated and turned into a riding school where Nathalie offers horse riding lessons for beginners and advanced horse riders. The farmhouse is a B&B as well. was born on 5th December 1977 and began cross country skiing at the early age of 6, changing to Biathlon at the age of 24. Saskia participated to 2 Olympic games: Salt Lake City and Torino. Saskia also achieved the title of World Champion Juniores in cross country skiing. Overall she gained 16 places within the first 10 best in Biathlon. She has recently (2009) graduated as physiotherapist and is head of our Wellness & Spa centre since 2009/2010. was born on 11th September She won her first cross country skiing race at the age of 5 and has been active member of the Italian National cross country Team since She took part to many international World Cup races and 2006 she qualified for the Winter Olympic Games of Torino. Unfortunately a bad fall and a fracture to her leg prevented her from participating to those Games. In return she achieved the first place during the Fis Marathon Cup 2011/12 and the third place at the Marcialonga, an important international race for all cross country skiers. Besides sports, Stephanie studied Economics & Management at Bolzano University. She cooperates now on the family business. 47
