Leading up to this move, my friends and family members barraged me with varying opinions on London. You ll miss nature, some said. Others assured me that I d love the theatre, parks and general creative drive of this metropolis. Well, it s been one week and I can confidently say that I am blown away. London s infrastructure lends itself to easy living. I ve cycled for hours along beautiful canals, wandered through sprawling parks and admired the city s historic buildings. On one street I ve seen Indian fabric shops, Iraqi cafés and Polish pastry shops. Whether your interest lies in tasting pale ale, playing the piano or scooping up rubbish from a stand-up paddle board, you will find it in London. I ve actually met a girl who sings in a folk acapella group: does it get more niche? This is the beauty of London. Opportunity is everywhere.
