Transcription:

The company has a long track record in developing tourism areas in Indonesia since 1969 In order to develop tourism in Bali, in 1969 the Indonesian government with the assistance of UNDP initiated a study on tourism in Bali conducted by SCETO, a tourism consultant from France. Based on this study, SCETO recommended a basic scheme of Bali tourism development as an economic development, where the standard of living and welfare of the community can be improved without compromising cultural values and social structure of the Balinese people and the environment. Land suitable for this purpose was found in the hilly area of Nusa Dua, an unproductive area with minimum rainfall and no surface water sources so that the land was not suitable for agriculture. To implement Nusa Dua Tourism Area development plan, a State-Owned Enterprise was established, namely PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Bali (Persero) or Bali Tourism Development Corporation (BTDC). The initial role of the Company was to obtain land, to prepare a master plan, to build area infrastructure at international level, and to develop an attractive investment system for investors to invest in Nusa Dua. In line with the government s plan for tourism development strategy in Indonesia, on May 16, 2014 BTDC changed its name to PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero) or Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC). ITDC is 100% owned by the Government of Indonesia with authorized capital of IDR 1,000,000,000,000. 1968 1970 1972 1980 1985 1987 1990 1991 The Masterplan of Nusa Dua Tourist Resort was made for the first time by SCETO Hotel Bualu (training hotel & part of school complex) The Company was established by the Government of the Republic under PP No. 27 Year 1972 The first investor established Nusa Dua Beach Hotel with approximately 450 rooms Investors built Melia Bali Sol and Putri Bali hotels Revision on the Masterplan of Nusa Dua Tourist Resort was made by JCP (Japan City Planning) and investors built Hotel Club Med Nusa Dua Investors built Nusa Indah Hotel & Convention Centre and Bali Hilton Hotel The 40 th APTA (Asia Pacific Travel Association) Conference was attended by 50 countries with 1,500 delegates, held in Nusa Dua Tourism Resort 2008 2011 2013 2014 2015 The Company was trusted to develop Lombok Mandalika Tourist Resort with the area measuring around 1,175 ha by the Indonesian government 19 th ASEAN summit attended by the US President Barack Obama and 18 other countries The operation of 14 starhotels with a total of 3,916 rooms APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Forum) was convened in Nusa Dua Tourist Resort and was attended by more than 20 Heads of States Change Corporate name from BTDC to ITDC Establish new vision as Indonesia s foremost integrated tourism destination developer Improving Nusa Dua as smart and green resort
