Bryant Business Arising: 1.That the RHVA request a formal meeting with Holiday Haven management and Senior Council Administration Officers to have Holiday Haven management adopt a more considered approach,in that all parking for the caravan park residents be made available WITHIN the actual caravan park grounds Response :Council's manager of Tourist Parks was on leave when a meeting with senior council managers was organised. Another meeting date will be arranged. 2.That a meeting be held with the following Shoalhaven City Council staff :Colin Wood- Acting Group Director, Ben Stewart - Director, Assets and Works, Coralie Bell- Tourism Officer and Penny Lumb - Natural Resources Assistant

2 and coordinator of the Boat Harbour Master Plan, Bendalong to discuss the multiple issues confronting the Bendalong area due to increased tourism numbers Response : A meeting was held and will be reported on in general business 3. That Councillor White approach council, on behalf of the Red Head Villages Association to obtain funding from Crown Land/Holiday Haven to support implementation of the Boat Harbour Master Plan initially and then infrastructure in our local reserves Response : There has currently been no response from Clr White 4. That the association consider the installation of dog waste collection bag dispensers, pending a discussion with the infrastructure officer of RHVA Response : details of the costs associated and supplier have been given to M. Cvetkovic, Infrastructure Officer, for research and consideration. He will report back next meeting 5. That the association write to council, requesting that the infrastructure levy associated with the "Coast " development at Manyana be directed to the Yulunga Reserve committee to provide improved recreational facilities ( e.g playground equipment ) in the reserve or immediate local area. Response : Robyn Ralph, Secretary, has sent a letter to the Mayor and all Ward 3 Councillors regarding this matter. A reply was received from Clr Kaye Gartner saying she had forwarded the letter to the Planning Department, SCC. 6.Question from Shane Bullock re : Liquor Licence acquired by Tourist Park - Response : No. Confirmed by Tim Fletcher, Snr Manager, SCC. 7. Donations to Better Planning Network and Environment Defenders Office - still to be made??? $100 to each Response :The new treasurer will follow through with this when she receives the books in March after this meeting. To Daniel Dunstan, Traffic Management : re community response to No Stopping Zone on access road ( both sides ) to the headland at Boat Harbour and to 20m No Stopping zone - emergency vehicles excepted across the rear access gate to the Tourist Park, Bendalong ( as part of RFS Community Protection Plan 2. To Kate Ryan, CCB Coordinator - providing an agenda for the meeting with senior council staff re the issues at Bendalong over the past holiday period

To Mayor Amanda Findley - re the possibility of acquiring for our community some of the playground equipment being dismantled at Mollymook Park to make way for a new playground and fitness space 4. To Mayor Amanda Findley and Ward 3 councillors - re a request to direct some of the infrastructure levy from ' Coast', Manyana to fund recreational and infrastructure projects in our community 5. To Ben Stewart, Director, Assets and Works - request for toilet signage in Bendalong 6. To Kerry Thompson, Natural Areas Operations Officer - organising a meeting with herself and Kevin Miller and myself re : preservation of Bangalay Sand forest area on crown land opposite Cherry St, Bendalong 7. To Ranger staff re damage to vegetation along headland area of Sunset Strip, Manyana Other 8. To Debbie McBride, Booking Officer, Yulunga Reserve - confirming hall booking dates for 2017 and AGM 2018 as well as Neighbour Day booking - now Sat April 1st 9. Newsletter to members of Red Head Villages Association - reminder of upcoming events and reminder that membership payments are now due; a meeting reminder and a meeting agenda Feb Correspondence In - 4th March Council Correspondence 1. DA's - 2 houses, 1 x relocatable home, 1 x shed, dwelling alterations 2. Daniel Dunstan, Traffic Management - Letter a. Outlining proposal for No Stopping zone, southern side of Red Point Rd, Bendalong. Letter b. His evaluation of the traffic / parking issues in Bendalong over the recent holiday period Letter c. 4 Options for parking in Red Point Rd, Bendalong - seeking community's responses 3.Penny Lumb, Natural Resources Assistant - informing the association that a coastal engineer will be engaged to investigate the processes at work in Boat Harbour,resulting in better beach management 4. Kerry Thompson, Natural Areas Operations Officer - re the regeneration of the headland opposite Cherry St, Bendalong 5. Kate Ryan, CCB Coordinator - organising a meeting for our CCB with senior management staff to discuss the issues that arose at Bendalong over the holiday period 6. Report on meeting with council re : issues at Bendalong over the recent holiday period ISSUES PARKING Daniel Dunstan, Traffic Unit Proposed measures to reduce parking problems and traffic flow: 1. Restrict parking in front of residents' homes in Red Point Road to facilitate safe flow of vehicles adjacent to the Tourist Park - either No Parking/ No Stopping or time restricted parking. 2. Consider creating overflow car parking from the Tourist Park along Waratah St on the outside of the Tourist Park. Subject to fire zones. 3. Create specific boat and trailer parking bays at the boat ramp 4. Create boat and trailer overflow parking on the headland above the boat ramps area. 5. RHVA suggest council consider moving the children's playground to the upper area at the intersection of Red Point Rd and Boronia Streets ( or further along on

5 Crown Land ) to create more parking spaces at Boat harbour itself. The current location of the playground right beside the roadway at the beach is not a safe one with vehicles and children in close proximity. Also, there are multiple attractions in a very confined area - picnic tables, the beach itself, the boat ramps, tourists feeding the stingrays, the toilet facilities and pathways to and from the Tourist Park with young children amongst the pedestrians. WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES 1. Council is prepared to put in place extra bins for the busy periods. Unfortunately the bins are often used by residents as an extra waste service, being filled with bulky household items leading to overflow. LACK OF TOILET AND SHOWER FACILITIES 1. RHVA suggests council consider installing signage from the general store/cafe area in Waratah St, Bendalong, down side streets towards the bay and then near the current children's playground area, indicating the location of the toilet block. It is currently quite concealed from the public. A new toilet block at Bendalong is on council's priority list, along with 3 others in the Shoalhaven RANGER SERVICES 1.A casual ranger position was created over the Christmas/new Year period, based at Ulladulla. Daily visits were made to Bendalong in the morning and of an evening. 2. Fines were given but RHVA and council would prefer visitors have a positive experience when visiting the area. 3. RHVA exec raised the question of long term planning between those on staff promoting tourism and staff providing infrastructure needs to facilitate sustainable tourism. RHVA exec acknowledge the detailed planning involved in the 5 Year Master Plan for Boat Harbour, Bendalong, managed by Penny Lumb, SCC. Meeting was attended by Kevin Millar, Robyn Ralph, Lex Meyer and council staff 2. Boat Harbour 5 Year Master Plan Drainage from Tourist Park - major damage is happening to the road surface near the children's playground at Boat Harbour due to major run off from the Tourist Park site during major weather events. An engineer has been appointed to report on the situation. Overflow Car Parking - talks will be arranged with the manager of Tourist Parks in the Shoalhaven to address this problem. New Footpath/ walking track - on the left hand side of Red Point Rd leading down to Boat Harbour to make the situation safer for pedestrians. Boat Harbour - a marine engineer will be contracted to report on erosion of the foreshore. The pile of grey rocks near the children's playground will be removed by council. The playground has a life expectancy of 5 more years then the site will be reviewed. The western car park is going to be partitioned off as a passive area for recreation ( no Cars ). New toilet block - in the 2017 budget. Washerwoman's Beach - The walking track to the beach from Willow street is currently undergoing weed control by Shoalhaven City Council

6 3. Report on proposed regeneration of headland area opposite Cherry St, Bendalong and strategies to deter camping on that site. Kerry Thompson, Natural Areas Operation Officer, Shoalhaven City Council is currently working on a proposed plan to regenerate endangered Bangalow Sand Forest on this headland area. Cars and campers will be prevented from entering the area. The walking track down to the beach will be upgraded from its present state and drainage issues in the area will be addressed. 4. Parking issues in Red Point Rd, Bendalong - discussion on council's 4 options in order to give feedback to council on preferred option /s. Members voted to select Option 1 - that a No Stopping Zone be created on the western side of Red Point Rd. This would prevent parking in front of residents' homes and alleviate the problems residents faced during the previous busy holiday period. Response to be sent to Daniel Dunstan, Traffic, SCC, for further consideration 5. Crown Land Trust funding - identification of projects to be funded. RHVA will work with Clr White to seek funding for a pathway project along the former rail track at Washerwoman's Beach and to assist with the Boat Harbour project. 6. Neighbour Day Organisation - 1st April Note to all members that there has been a date change for this event - now Saturday 1st April The community and association members are invited to support this event to promote community spirit. There will be a cake baking competition, a home brew competition, games for the children, a jumping castle, a barbecue run by the RFS, a seafood raffle to support the Yulunga Reserve committee ( that looks after the hall, tennis courts, playground skate park and soccer oval ) and live music. 7. Report on Clean Up Australia Day - 11 volunteers helped clean up the car parks, beaches and general area. Shoalhaven City Council assisted by cleaning up the verges on Bendalong Road. Other business - G. Bloomfield - requesting replacement of disabled parking signage at Cunjurong Pt and installation of No Camping signage Next meeting Mon May 1st 2017 at 7pm in the Yulunga Community Hall Robyn Ralph advised that she would be absent for this meeting and gives her apologies.
