1 WAGE BULLETIN JULY 2012 Wages & Allowances BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION GENERAL ON-SITE AWARD 2010 (MA000020) Transitioning from National Building and Construction Industry Award 2000 (AP825520). Fair Work Australia has determined that minimum wage rates in Modern Awards will be increased by 2.9% from the first full pay period commencing (ppc) on or after 1 July In addition, Modern Awards contain a range of allowances, including expense related allowances linked to CPI movements, with any increases also payable from ppc 1 July The Building and Construction General On-Site Award 2010 (modern on-site Award) provides for transitional arrangements for the phasing in of minimum wage rates, loadings and penalty rates. These transitional arrangements provide for a 5 year phasing in period where the applicable pre-existing rate was greater or lesser than the corresponding rate provided for in the modern on-site Award.
