We operate one of the largest heritage passenger fleets in the world offering visitors an experience they will never forget. Excellent facilities onoard and at the Pier Houses with free parking/drop-off points for coaches at the main Piers. The Lake runs a serpentine course for eight miles through expansive vistas of Lakeland s highest mountains. Helvellyn at 3,117ft (950m) crowns Ullswater, at the South-Western end of the valley, standing on a mighty plateau approximately 9 miles (14.5km) in length and 4.5 miles (7km) wide. The Steamers operate an all year service with varying timetale connections. Cruise times vary from minutes. Glenridding Pier Located at the southern end of Ullswater, there is free coach parking in the main car park. Facilities include gift shop, light refreshments, accessile toilets and free Wi-Fi. Pooley Bridge Pier Located to the northern end of Ullswater, just ten minutes from J.40, M6. There is a drop-off point outside the Pier House. Facilities include gift shop, light refreshments, accessile toilet, and free Wi-Fi. Aira Force Pier New cruise operating etween Glenridding Pier and National Trust Aira Force Waterfall. Raven Capacity: 246 Launched on the 16 th July, 1889, the largest of our traditional vessels and directly inspired y leading tour operator Thomas Cook. M.Y. Lady of the Lake Capacity: 187 Launched on the 26 th June, 1877, she is elieved to e the oldest working passenger vessel in the world. Extensive restoration works have increased the interior saloon space on the lower deck for added passenger comfort. M.V. Western Belle Capacity: 160 Built to the order of the Millrook Steamoat & Trading Co in She spent most of her working life running river excursions on the River Tamar. M.V. Lady Wakefield Capacity: 150 Built in 1949, fully restored and renamed y HRH Princess Alexandra in She retains the heritage feel of our other traditional vessels. M.V. From the North and East Just 5 miles from the M6 (Junction 40), follow the M6/A66/A592 to Pooley Bridge with a coach drop-off point at Pooley Bridge Pier. From Keswick and the West Coast Via the A66/A5091 to Aira Force, turn right on to the lake road; Glenridding is just 2 miles away. From the Central Lake District nly 12 miles from Windermere (A592) via the spectacular Kirkstone Pass to Glenridding. Driving distances and times from key destinations: Edinurgh: 122 miles - 2 hours 35 minutes. Scotch Corner: 54 miles 1 hour 10 minutes. Manchester Airport: 100 miles - 2 hours. Gangways are designed to fit standard wheelchairs (there is one wheelchair availale for use in each Pier House at Pooley Bridge and Glenridding please ask a memer of staff). 2. Motorised chairs and moility scooters are not permitted on the Piers or vessels for Health & Safety reasons. 3. Due to the varying height of the lake we regret that wheelchair access is not always possile. 4. We have five vessels sailing on Ullswater with varying levels of access. Due to the nature of our usiness we cannot guarantee that a particular vessel will e availale. We advise you to contact us if you have special requirements in advance to avoid disappointment. 5. There is no access availale on our smallest vessel Lady Dorothy for those who require a wheelchair. 6. There is allocated free parking for Blue Badge Holders at Glenridding Pier House. We regret that due to the location of Pooley Bridge Pier House, parking outside the uilding is not permitted, however there is a drop-off and collection point outside the door. 7.
